It had been a few weeks since that faithful encounter in the shop where a neon fox had found himself caught up between a subtle power struggle between to demons. He had made the most of it of course and in his warped little mind made three new friends. Not a single one of the fox's new friends wanted anything to do with him. They hardly wanted to look at him let alone talk or touch him. But if every time he received hesitation from another towards him stopped the fox from trying he would be even more alone than already was. Kennith Coy was nothing if he was not a confident outgoing type of person.
Kennith had not ran across any of the three he had met weeks ago since then. He had a favor to redeem and on his left ear three tiny scars where a angry butler had dug claws into him. But think bright fur covered up the tiny little scars and it had not left a damper in the fox's spirits. He had a feeling he would meet up with one of the three sooner or later and though he was not actively searching for them he was rather looking forward to it.
Today however the fox was dressed more moderately than normal with a pair of kaki slacks and a loose button up collared top. The top was a cloudy sky blue that seemed to match with his white hair but clashed with the bright orange headphones that were pressed against the plush ears. He walked along a department store his spry body swaying to the music as he looked around sheets and towels in need of some new ones for his place. He was not overly found of this short of shopping but it was needed. After all his sheets had tears and his towels were more than just a bit worn, and what with the new friends surely sooner or later he could be entertaining one and it would not do to have messy sheets and old towels. His fully lips moved silently with the song he was currently listening too as he ran white tipped fingers over the different plush towel.

A pale skinned feline with a set of jet black ears, one single black tail, and a pair of shimmering emerald eyes moved his way through the department store. Red tendrils cascaded gently against the sides of his face and a soft frown was an expression set in stone for the time being. His master had been teasing him endlessly for weeks for lack of having anything better to do; the Irish feline tried not to harbor ill will and made an honest effort to be forgiving of his master's mocking antics. After all, his master had no friends to speak of save for himself, and the large home did get quite boring for the fallen angel.
Joseph, however, was kept quite busy. He was the only employee in Stefan's care and although he was titled as a butler, in reality he was so much more. He was the maid, he was the chef, he was the bookkeeper, he was the designer, and on particularly dark nights when his master's night terrors were at their worst, he was the warm body that wrapped around the man and soothed him, providing him with the comfort of familiarity and safety to get him through the night. Their relationship was strictly platonic and had never possessed an ounce of sexual attraction despite what others believed.
Stefan was his master, his friend, his object of mutual respect and trust that was well earned on both ends. A soft sigh parted soft, pale colored lips. To be shopping was his least favorite of all his duties as it meant dealing with many different people, and Joseph was not particularly keen on people in general. Rather than wearing his formal attire, he had dressed himself in a pair of simple jeans that fit the contours of his lower body quite nicely. A single leather belt in a soft shade of brown held the jeans in place and a plain white button-up shirt was worn with the sleeves rolled up above elbows.
The muscular frame moved along side Kennith, so wrapped up in his own task that he did not bother to notice who it was. Then again, when he was in town, Joseph actively avoided all contact with everyone. The feline's sharp little canines gently tugged his lower lip into his mouth in a soft bite while he contemplated the colors of bath towels. His expression became focused while he pulled up mental images of how he had designed the guest bathrooms, carefully making his selection so as not to disrupt the energy of the rooms he had worked so hard to create to a nearly perfect state. Towels in hand, he turned away and mumbled a soft "Pardon me," his tone so much different than how Kennith had heard it before. This tone was polite and well mannered, gentle and almost approachable. Of course, had Joseph realized who he had just been standing next to, he would have used a harsh and cruel tone, if he would have bothered to say anything at all. As it was, the feline did not register who it had been, as he had avoided looking at the person, and was promptly making his way to the register.

As friendly as Kennith always seemed he normally did not focus when people drew near to him when he was in a crowded place. It was one reason he kept head phones on so he could be in his own little world in the bigger world. He knew that despite his feeling towards others he really had no friends what so ever and it was harder than he ever thought it would be to make friends. So in public the fox normally kept to himself. As a figure drew close to him he naturally shifted to the side a bit to allow the other person to look at the towels.
He had not caught the almost friendly pardon me but as the figure next to him turned something very familiar washed over the fox. It was a strange scent that he had only ever encountered once. The pale fingers dropped the thick fabric he had just been touching and his nostrils flared at the almost spicy scent. It took a moment for that rich scent to make its way up to the slightly dense brain and trigger a memory for whom that scent belonged too. His thick plush left ear flicked against the hard headphone and he turned in what felt was slow motion. Had Joseph looked back he would see a truly shocked face plastered across the normally bright and smiling face.
The manner of dress was very much different from what he had seen the feline in before and in fact almost made Kennith rethink his familiarity but the way that muscular figured moved, the slight sway to those strong confident strides was very hard to ignore. Kennith had been pressed against that form long enough for the memory of the hard taught form could not be easily forgotten and he remembered that walk, just as irritated as it had been leaving the shop when they first met. Despite the common attire, it seemed almost perfectly trimmed and made for the feline, it was clear that it was no mistake someone Joseph had found him, here in bedding of all places.
The shocked expression soon faded to a very big grin. His tail almost wagged as quickly as his heart was beating in his chest. Towels and bedding was now forgotten as he hurried after the confident form. The dense brain could not function well under the excitement well enough to give a proper greeting like a calling out, is that you Joseph? Oh no he drew just close enough to lick the tip of the jet black ear, with a rather loud, because of the music in his ears, "Hello my friend!" he giggled and wrapped his arms around the feline from behind. Having completely forgotten the, do not lick me without permission command, but at least being smart enough to close the gap before the feline could turn and hit him too quick.

Felines had been fortunate and unfortunate in their natural talents; they possessed excellent hearing and night vision, and their sense of smell was not too shabby either. However, canines had been given a bit of an edge; they learned a scent almost instantly whereas felines needed to familiarize themselves with one specific scent frequently over a short period of time in order to pick it up right away. Such was the reason cats were kept indoors for a minimum of two weeks before being let outside. While Joseph was more human than animal, he was still part feline. Kennith had the edge in this situation and Joseph was the unsuspecting cat that just wanted to get out of the department store because next up was the grocery store, and that place was always a nightmare. He had been in the midst of a polite engagement of small talk with the cashier while altogether avoiding any direct contact because, by god, he did not want to make friends with any of these people.
The sneak attack came as even more of a shock due to being wrapped up in other tasks and coupled with the fact that he had no friends, the idea of being approached by anyone had never been a particular worry for him. Most people tended to steer clear of the strong and silent types in public settings anyway, and when they heard his Irish lilt, they strayed farther away. There was an unexpected moist yet warm tongue against his ear, the growl barely having time to even begin before a near booming voice ripped through the air, possibly bursting one of the feline's sensitive ear drums. Black ears flicked backwards against his head and he hissed loudly, though before he could turn arms were already wrapped around him and the fox had been quick to press close to protect himself from any initial reactions.
A look of sheer embarrassment and horror fell over Joseph's features, frantic green eyes meeting the cashier, who offered him sympathy along with judgmental uncertainty. Due to the fact that it was entirely inappropriate to become violent in a public setting such as this, and the feline was simply awkward in nature when it came to physical contact, he simply cleared his throat and continued his current interaction.
Upon paying the cashier and receiving the bagged towels, Joseph half-turned in Kennith's embrace and slid his arm around the other man's waist, his hand resting against the hip in what seemed like an inviting response, up until the point that claws dug into that hip. He gripped hard with a hushed growl and moved away from the register, taking Kennith with him towards the front of the store where he finally ripped himself free of the other man's grasp. He stood back and glared down at the fox. "Yes. Right. Pleasure to see you again, but oh, look at the time. I have quite a few errands to do and a time schedule to stick to, and I am sure you are busy with your shopping as well. Good afternoon, Kennith." Joseph almost winced at letting it be known that he had, in fact, remembered the fox's name which meant that he had, in fact, placed at least some attention or interest into him.

Kennith was more animalistic by nature having found out at a very young age that his more emotional human side would cause more pain and issues than his instinctual animalistic side, which normally got him out of trouble and saved his a** and his sanity more times than not.
And it seemed at first that the hug worked well against the feline. He breathed in deeply marking the scent in his mind and assuring himself that it was who he thought it was. That was until he felt the shift in Joseph's stance and the arm slide about his waist. For a brief moment the softer body tensed up and his bright happy eyes clouded over with what could almost be fear. His fingers gripped at the fabric of feline's shirt and the fear in Kennith's eyes shifted to worry. Maybe he had latched onto the wrong person and made a big mistake. But just as he was about to pull away with an apology he felt the bite of claws digging into his hip the tips of which pushed threw the fabric and into the softness of his flesh. He arched a bit against the feline now grunting and giving a soft wanting gasp against the folded black ear. The fox then made no movement against Joseph and followed him to the front.
With a small yip he was shoved away from the feline and got to take a good look at the feline from the front and there was no doubt that it was in fact Joseph now, what with such a glare from those brilliant emerald eyes. Despite, or quiet possibly because of the glare Kenneth's smile was wide across his gentle lips. "Oh I never thought you would fine it a pleasure to see me again. Ah ha! And his master was right you did remember me." The thick plush tail gave a happy little sway. "I am so glad to see you did not forget about me. I hope not all your thoughts on me were negative. Oh no I am just browsing today. So I am not busy at all!" A slight lie on his part but towels and sheets could wait they would always be somewhere around but Joseph on the other hand. There was of course no way the canine could let him go. Not after such a warm welcome. "If you have shopping still to do I would be more than glad to tag a long. I could even help you carry the bags. I can be your butler today since his master is not present."

Joseph's ears canted backwards to display his displeasure with Kennith's reply, reaching up a hand to rub the spot that had been licked, both thoughtful and disgusted. "It is difficult to forget a reckless boy that cannot even remember the simplest of commands. Always ask permission. It should not be that difficult to do." There was a devious gleam in the feline's eyes as soon as the words made their way out of his mouth. His master was not around to calm or control him this time. If Kennith continued with unpleasant behavior then it was quite possible he could find himself in a very unhappy situation; particularly after the feline had felt his body tensing and caught a flash of what had looked like fear just moments before.
"A butler has no need for a butler; in regards to my thoughts, that depends on what you define as "negative"," the words were bitter with a harsh edge to the tone of voice that he had currently equipped to use specifically for the fox. Joseph reached out to take hold of Kennith's right arm, leading him away from the department store so that they were not blocking anyone's way, and were out of eyesight for the time being. He removed his hold on the fox and bent to set the bag down, muscles pulling the button down shirt taut against his body with the motion. Standing back upright with a sigh of irritation, he shifted closer and reached pale hands out, grabbing up those plush ears. Fingertips kneaded the back of the ear while thumbs rotated in skillful circles to the front base, the man's voice dripping with threat as he leaned close to an ear and practically purred the words, "Refrain from embarrassing me again in such a manner, Kennith."
As if the simple gesture would get his point across, seeing as how the last time he had caressed the ears in such a manner it had the fox wiggling closer, but then again Kennith was on the dense side. Joseph retracted his hands, abruptly ending the attention that he had only so briefly offered, just enough to give a taste. The butler bent and collected the bag once more before turning his back entirely, striding away from the man, his scent still hanging in the air and potent with both power and confidence. Joseph had very little patience for the ill mannered but if Kennith was hellbent on following him around then he would at least whip him into shape for the time being, even if it meant he had to give those plush ears some attention and then withdraw just at the right moment, the way his master did. He would prefer, of course, if he did not have to offer Kennith touch at all, and at some point it was sure to become aggressive again, just as it had been when claws bit through fabric and pressed against the soft flesh of the fox's hip. The interaction had already made him late as far as his time schedule went.

Kennith’s head phones had fallen down around his neck when he had been pushed away so he had been able to hear the feline since the moved to the front of the store. “Oh it is not difficult to do. But I know if I ask you would never allow me to lick you. So It can not be bad to break some rules here and there.” He winked at the feline. He had caught the gleam then and had to admit he was rather interested in what thoughts were going on in that strange hidden mind of Joseph. For a moment the fox wondered what it would take to get an insight into the the mind. Maybe he could fine something that would allow them to be friends and spend more time together. Because was it really so bad to get some surprise licks in here and there? Surely a surprise here and there was a good thing.
The harsh tones brought the push ears to one side as the snowy haired head tilted in a confused curious manner. There must have been a joke that was lost on him. He did not see much as negative and to know that he had been in the thoughts in some form was enough of an encouragement or a positive thing to the fox. He liked the idea that someone did remember him. He was about to comment when he felt the hand on his arm gripping it rather tightly in a non argumentative manner. Kennith followed along like a lost kit, putting up no fight.
Kennith had not noticed just how strong the feline was until he felt the grip and even more so when the feline bend down to put the bags down. Those tailored clothes were so prefect and clung to the flexing form just enough to threaten tearing but giving just a prefect amount without actually tearing. Kennith was so drawn into it his heart started to race and suddenly he felt a bit more exposed not in public. He forced his eyes away from the form and started to look at the walkway they were standing in. He looked up at the two tall buildings and was a bit distracted as he heard the sigh. For a tiny moment some place in the back of his mind wondered what he had done to upset Joseph this time. But as that thought started to push forward into his mind it was cut short by the other drawing closer and stopping his heart as skill fingers found his plus ears. Aqua eye grew wide and round for a moment as he almost fell forward as those fingers started to show how skillful they where. Kennith’s mind misfired and he was struck with shock and pleasure that only increased as Joseph leaned closer and that warning was purred into his ear. He felt the words all over him and a swallowed deeply.
As Joseph removed his hands Kennith stood in the same position Joseph had had him in in a daze. It looked as if for a moment the feline had broken his brain and the fox was desperately trying to reboot it. Kennith was lost in the thick scent and the shadows of those fingers working his ears that he made no move after Joseph as he turned and started to walk away. It was not until Joseph was almost back onto the sidewalk and about to be gone from view that the lights clicked back on in the fox’s head. He took a deep breath and shook his head and his whole body a bit confused of what just happened. He blinked twice then turned and saw the black tail disappearing from view. He gasped and hurried after Joseph, “If I promise not to embarrass you like that…and…I ask to lick you first can I tag along with you?” He asked his normal smile back on his face and his plush tail erect and swaying behind him.

Joseph had been entirely unaware of Kennith's increased heart rate or any thoughts that could have wandered through the pale-haired fox's head. Then again, if the pale-skinned feline had known about the racing heart, what would he have done? Would he have used it as a tool to tease and torment the fox or would he have used it as an excuse to send him away? Joseph had discovered a pleasure point for Kennith, which was those plush ears, and he was certainly not afraid to use it against the fox in order to get his own way... or at least part of his way, since sending Kennith away for good was apparently out of the question. The plush fox was too stubborn for that one regardless of what sorts of tools Joseph used against him; except, perhaps, if he could make that flash of fear and following look of worry return. Maybe then Kennith would leave for good.
The area behind him had been awfully quiet and for a moment the black cat was almost hopeful that the pleasured state he had put Kennith in was irreversible, that he would stay there for a long time, hung in some delicate balance of paralytic pleasure long enough to allow him to fully escape. Then... there was the voice bounding up behind him. Emerald eyes slipped shut and the Irishman continued to take confident strides though there was a slight twitch of annoyance in his brows. The threatening tone he had used before had not had the effect he had originally intended, as it made had pushed Kennith farther into his pleasure-induced and temporarily catatonic state. That fact in and of itself only made the feline more interested in the fox, which frustrated him to no end because Joseph was not a man to take interest in anyone, ever, for any reason.
"Do not embarrass me and remember your place, and yes, you may tag along," Joseph frowned and stopped walking, not caring if it made the fox crash into him or not as he spun around on his heel to face Kennith. "Kennith, if you can remember to behave yourself, perhaps I will give you a reward when the day is done." Despite the positive sound of the words there remained a dark undertone, another gleam in his eyes. "I will force you to leave if you misbehave, however. So, at the end of the day, it will all be your fault anyway." Joseph left the words hanging in the air as a disclaimer. Whatever behavior he displayed to the fox throughout the day, would be the fox's fault. He would take no blame. If Kennith was so intent for his attention then he would show him what it was like to be around him, as a friend. Perhaps then the fox would change his mind on his own and leave. In Joseph's mind there were dominants and there were submissive, there was no wiggle room; you were either the master or you were the pet, and if the fox was going to be insistent on being around, then he would be the pet.
The only area in his mind that was a gray area was his platonic relationship with Stefan. He was a dominant and Stefan was somewhere in between dominance and submission, but Stefan was his master only because he employed him, and only because Stefan had saved his life. If not for that, then Joseph would not be in a servant position.

Kennith indeed was not quick enough to stop himself from running into the feline at the sudden stop. He had been far to excited to try and catch up with Joseph before he got to far. He might not have been able to stop from bumping into the muscular frame but he was able to pull back a bit as the pale skinned feline turned to face him. His big smile only grew even bigger as he was granted permission to tag along. Maybe it was a good think to follow the rules that his companion was placing forward. and it seemed that asking first did get him some reward so many in the future the fox could possibly be given permission for a lick. This cause and effect was not lost on the dense thoughts of the fox and should it prove effective on this say he might be willing to follow Joseph’s ask first rule.
He was so lost in his thoughts that he almost missed it as Joseph continued on speaking. That tone had taken on a darker tone and though the promise of rewards was given it almost seemed like they would be dangerous rewards and more than likely not the one that the fox would have really wanted. And yet it was more of the hidden threat than the offer or reward that made Kennith more intrigued. He chuckled a bit as the feline managed to phrase everything to being his fault. As if Joseph would not try to ‘thick’ him into misbehaving or as it the feline would not enjoy a punishment more than a reward. Did not those in charge some times like the underling that caused some issues so they could focus more on them even if it was in dealing out discipline. this was the more thinking the fox had done in a wail and he was enjoying it even it it only brought up more and more questions. “Your terms sound fair enough. Though I am sure if I remain in a neutral zone with you, I would neither get a reward or a punishment.” He then let his smile fade a bit to a more content smile then a beaming one. “May I lick you then as an agreement to the terms laid forth for our outing together?” It never hurt to ask, and besides if he asked maybe it would in fact show that he was more than willing to accept some of what Joseph asked of him. He knew that the world was not just one way or the other and he was fairly good at following either path. And he wanted to give this game a good shot.

Joseph smiled down at Kennith in a manner that showed his small but sharp canines, tempted to purr but completely restraining himself from doing so. What was it that they called this game-- cat and mouse? Ah, how fitting for a feline and surely unfortunate for a fox to be a mouse. The black cat had very few pleasures in the world and did not often find himself intrigued by anything or anyone. He was certain that Kennith would only be a temporary source of entertainment but he would enjoy it none the less. It was the least he could do, to find a way to enjoy himself since the fox was hellbent on pestering him, even if his enjoyment came in cruel forms. It wasn't as if Kennith seemed to mind at all.
"You are correct; if you remain neutral you will simply receive nothing," the sinister smile slowly faded and a frown took hold of his expression, contemplating the question that Kennith had asked. On the one hand, he did not enjoy the fox's previous lickings, yet on the other hand... the fox had finally asked permission. With a low growl of what could almost be irritation, and a cold glare settling into his emerald eyes, the pale-skinned feline nodded his head. "Hn. I suppose you have earned one lick. Do not make me regret it," there was no need to linger another threat into the air, feeling as if he had gotten his point across enough. Joseph stepped closer to Kennith and bent slightly to bring his face closer. He canted his head backwards to display the underside of his chin, as if gesturing that it would be an appropriate place for a small lick. His eyes remained opened and fixated on the other male, his muscles tense and ready to react in case a swift punishment was needed-- not that he could really call pain punishment, seeing as how Kennith oddly seemed to enjoy the sting of his claws. A most peculiar, albeit frustrating, fellow indeed... even more frustrating simply because of the mild interest Joseph had placed on him, for now.Dooma Expect Joseph to become awkward after willingly allowing a lick. XD

Chaotic Pandie Haha I would expect nothing less XD, A bit shocked he agreed to it. Lets hope he does not regret it too much XD <3 Every time Joseph got more dominate and was a bit rougher with him, Kennith grew a bit more excited. However this day went it would be a wonderful day. As much as he would like it to he had a feeling this would never amount to much. Though every now and then he thought he caught a glimmer of interest in the feline’s brilliant eyes. Hopefully he would be able to work that small peak of interest into something more. He did not mind if he had to take some damage to do so. He was a patient man. And for now it seemed maybe both of them could have a bit of fun together.
Oh so he would have to be good for a reward. He had no idea who to be good to Joseph. And now he was a bit curious to see how he could possibly be rewarded. Though punishment, minus being chased off, could also be rather fun. As the annoyed growl and the upset look slowly spreading over that handsome pale face Aqua eyes shined with mischief and enjoyment. But then as the feline gave a reluctant nod and started to speak the eyes grew wide with surprise. Surely Joseph was teasing him. But then again now the strong solid form was leaning in. As the feline got into position Kennith took the time to look over the smooth soft pale flesh that stretched over tight tense muscles along Joseph’s jaw and neck.
The pale furred fox found himself again confused but he also knew that there was a time frame surly Joseph was not going to stay like that for long. He leaned in and tilted his head. He breathed in deeply and instead of licking the set jaw he could not resist being a bit naughty and that beautiful neck was far too tempting, So the thick warm tongue was gently but quickly lapped up along the curve of his neck, starting just above the collar bone and up to mid neck. “I may need to be very good. Maybe for this afternoon Joseph shall be my master. Where is our next stop?” He asked half prepared for retaliation. But it would all be worth it.

Brilliant green eyes snapped open wide, muscles of his strong form twitching against the sudden feel of a warm, moist tongue trailing so gently and swiftly from collar bone and halfway up his neck. While he had implied the appropriate spot to lick he had not been specific enough and the fox had taken the opportunity he had been given to place the lick where he saw fit. A growl vibrated the thick tongue just before it had been retracted, the feline had not been expecting such behavior and the strange sensation brought about conflicting feelings, leaving him both pleased and displeased.
A hand raised to Kennith's chest and used a rough amount of force to push him backwards, not to make him fall, but just to gain distance between them once more. Joseph stood upright and ran a hand through his red curls, turning his back to the brightly colored man instead of reacting in aggression. They were in public and people would surely step in the way, cops could even be called, and what excuse would he use to explain the situation? 'He enjoys my rougher attentions' did not sound like a very good explanation in his mind and so he chose to wait.
Kennith would surely be punished later for this, but for now he chose to allow his animalistic side to view it as grooming in order to calm himself. Black ears flicked backwards against his head and Joseph once more regained the harsh look in his eyes, though he did not look back at Kennith again. Instead, he began to start walking, voice low and dangerous, the promise of punishment hanging thick in the air. "When I am done with you, you will learn not to take more than you should from an offered reward, no matter how temporary the master is." Whether the feline would follow through with the threat of punishment or not was another matter entirely. A lick in such an intimately sensitive area had left his skin tingling in a way that he did not enjoy, perhaps he would ditch the fox at his earliest convenience and wash his hands of the unpleasantness. "Groceries. This way."

Kennith had found himself again surprised. Not only was he allow to lick but instead of a swift punishment or violence from licking a spot not offered him he had not been given such an action. He had known clear well that the larger feline had wanted him to lick his chin. A small area that would have provided only a glancing touch of the fox’s tongue. Of course the fox could have tried to steal a second kiss bit the position that Joseph had been would have made that more awkward. And when it came to it there was no way the fox could have missed the opportunity to caress that beautiful pale neck. He had actually be rewarded with a growl that had almost pressed him to test the cat more. A more dominate instinctual side had tried to flare up wanting to challenge the feline for domniance only to have the larger feline turn the tables and dominate him. The fox might be dense with certain things but he was still a man and the images the filled his head of how the fight would go and Joseph showing him what a lick really meant and even turning it into a more involved thing could not be ignore.
But as he felt the hand move to his chest brought the fox back to reality. He had been unable to continue his possible challenge due to the shove back. But something was wrong. There was not much force to it, there were no claws and and he was pushed back the aqua colored eyes caught a strange look that he had never seen in regards to him across the feline’s face. There was no way that Joseph could have been thinking along the same lines as he was could he? Kennith wanted to reach out but before he could Joseph was standing back straight and tall and had his back turned to him. White tipped fingers did reach out towards the covered back, that tailored shirt only accentuating the taunt strong muscles underneath instead of hiding them. But just as his fingers were about to make contact Joseph started to walk away.
Letting his hand drop Kennith fell into pace slightly behind and to the left of the feline, He smiled as he heard the threat and could not help but tease just a bit, “I look forward to the lesson Master Joseph.” he grinned brightly knowing that the feline could not see him, “Wild things do need to be tamed and taught who is the dominate one.” Of course it was easy enough to say but quite a different thing to do. “What are we buy his master for groceries today?” He asked letting the unspoken promise and threat of punishment go for now. This day was sure to get even more fun. Kennith thanked what ever had brought them together on this day.

Joseph focused on pushing thoughts and images to the back of his mind, punishments that could potentially be used for the fox's greedy behaviors. The feline had an abundance of different ideas, each just as cruel as the next, and some, while not violent, teetered on the edge between cruelty and torture. There were many ways that one could torment without the need of causing physical harm, although he would not be opposed to using his teeth and claws to punish either. A growl built in his chest and rumbled out softly, his slender tail twitching in mild aggravation at the persistent thoughts that he was trying to place on the back burner. There was a list of errands that needed to be done and Joseph was not a inclined to skimp on grocery shopping as it would mean he would be forced to finish the shopping the following day. Oh, how the unfriendly feline did so despise shopping and being forced to deal with the public.
Unaware of the instinctual temptation to challenge that was building in his temporary companion, he shifted just slightly, putting more space between he and Kennith. His analytical mind was racing, busily trying to deduce the conflicting senses that had sparked from the fox's unexpectedly bold lick. A soft sigh parted his lips while he turned left and entered the only grocery store he had ever bothered stepping foot into. "The untamed are harder to break but it makes the success of overcoming that challenge worth it," he grumbled in reply, keeping his voice low so as not to embarrass himself with having such a conversation in a public setting. Joseph grabbed a few complimentary sanitary wipes and tended to wiping the handle of a cart thoroughly before touching it. "Meats, fruits, vegetables, and a few dairy products. Is that not what one typically buys in a grocery store?"
Joseph managed to clear his mind just enough to provide his a majority of his attention to his current duty, one hand slipping from the handle of the cart to reach behind him and adjust the back of his shirt to ensure it was not riding up. Despite the fact that the tailored clothing did little to conceal what was beneath it, he had no desire to have Kennith behind him staring at any skin that could potentially become exposed. Perhaps 'no desire' was a bit too strong, as there was at least a small part of him that was mildly curious to know if Kennith would in fact drink up the sight of bare skin. The feline was certain that the sight of exposed skin would, if anything, cause the fox to touch, which was something to be avoided, particularly after the thick tongue traveling halfway up his neck. Outwardly he was entirely composed, going about his business shopping as if he had forgotten that the fox was even behind him and off to the side.

Kennith was fully unaware of what conflicting thoughts were plaguing the feline’s mind but he was fully aware that there was something going on in that mysterious mind. Though Joseph was as rigid as the fox had ever seen him he had grown more distant than even when they first met. He was growling and yet that would be followed by a sigh. He was nervously tugging at his shirt and it seemed whenever Kennith would draw a bit closer Joseph’s long legs would carrying him just that much father from him. Had he been too bold in the lick? No Joseph was not the type, not that Kennith had any idea what type the feline was, to hold back his displeasure or objection. Even when his master had been forcing Joseph to work the fox’s ears the cat made it fully clear, with claws too, his displeasure in such a thing. But now it was almost like Joseph was avoid any possible contact with Kennith more deliberately, if it was because he worried about attack or violence on the fox then he would have issued a warning at the very least right? Could it be that part of Joseph did not want to engage in a ‘violent’ altercation with him? The flirtatious mind of the fox was jumping at the more pleasurable, albeit rough, possibilities that could trouble and prompt the feline to avoid contact with him. But such a trail of thought would only cause Kennith to over step his boundaries and at the comment on over coming the challenge of breaking a wild creature Kennith mentally responded, I should hope I would be worth it to you., before he shook his head and set his ears back. Oh his mind was working too fast and that was no good for such a thick head.
Focusing as best he could on the task at hand he continued to smile not that Joseph could see it, “Well what about bread or toiletries? You get those at the grocery store too…Ahha!” he moved forward and grabbed the edge of the cart seeking to stop the feline for a moment, “Didn’t you say you have other errands for his master today? If you were to get the groceries now then wouldn’t they get spoiled in the car wail you were engaged in the other shopping? If you are just getting meats, fruits, and vegetables then I know a nice little farmers market that we can stop by after you finish the other shopping. That way you won’t have to worry about anything going bad!” He grinned brightly at the stern set face before him. Seeing the set features finally Kennith could tell that all of his previous thoughts of something troubling the feline was wrong. It looked like nothing was on the other’s mind but getting the job done. Why did his heart feel hurt at that realization. His smile faded just a bit around the edges and he eased his hand away from the pale one from the cart.
