Characters Name: Sprout Race: Fallen Zodiac Sign: The Lyre Academy House: Arkham Gender: Androgynous Starting Stage: Junior Body Type Base: A Body - they're going to be androgynous if that helps. 7 Face.
Brief Description of Appearance:
◉ Hair: Dirty blond. Style/length is CC! ◉ Eyes: Mossy green ◉ Skin: A lighter skin tone, though I'm not fond of "peachy." Whatever the artist thinks works! ◉ Markings: Would love some sort of freckle or design on cheeks to emulate the bird-ish nature. CC. ◉ Clothing: Mostly CC, though Sprout is rather active and enjoys flying. Looser clothing would be appreciated. I imagine low-necked tank tops and airy scarves. ◉ Jewelry: Lots of long necklaces, colorful charms? Buttons? Chaos. Birds love chaos.
◉ Inspiration: Pineapple Cheeked Conure. However, picking colors from that image might give you something insanely muddy (I tried).

Personality
Traits:
◉ Unabashed. Many things roll off of Sprout and they are not often phased by being in awkward situations, or having misfortune happen to them. They also afraid aren't to mention things such as "your underwear is showing" or "you sort of have a booger in your nose" to complete strangers. ◉ Creative. Sprout is great at improv and can whip up a canvas on the spot. Sometimes the meaning can be a bit confusing, or the premise of their routine hard to understand, but the Fallen is good at doing things on the fly. Sprout translates this often into hand made gifts for their friends, sometimes even from popsicle sticks. ◉ Optimistic. The Fallen has a very positive world-view and is optimistic in almost all situations. If you were looking for someone to raise moral during an apocalypse, it would be Sprout. They aren't afraid to turn this into advice and love talking their friends through rough situations. ◉ Flier. Sprout loves their wings and most of the time, when space permits, flies instead of walking. Gym class is the bane of their existence because they would much rather zoom around in circles than physically drag out laps. This has gotten them in trouble more than once, usually for smacking someone with a wing once or twice.
✖ Unintentionally Oblivious. Sometimes Sprout's ambition to please and happy-go-lucky attitude can make it hard for the implication of things to settle in right away, and they'll sometimes struggle to accept bad situation or what's going on around them. ✖ Short Attention. In a sense. Sprout can make it through classes, but once an idea gets in their head, it can be hard for them to get past it without acting on it. The worst is when they get ideas for a project or skit at the start of a class, for they turn into a large, distracted wiggling ball of feathers. ✖ Sentimental. Sprout produces many gifts for their friends of varying quality, and sometimes they have little relation to the gifted. Throwing them away in their presence, or acting anything less than enthused sometimes upsets them and they're bad at playing it off. On the flip side, they are never anything less than ecstatic to receive a gift or a 'thought of you' message from a friend. ✖ In Need of a Flock. The Fallen has no issue being alone or doing things independently, but they often need someone to show their accomplishments to or an audience that cares. Very protective and fond of their friends, Sprout can be clingy sometimes when they feel too alone. This roughly translates into attention seeking, but nothing they do is intended for this purpose.
Hobbies:
Sprout spends a lot of their time in various clubs, particularly in those that put on events or shows such as a play. Their ambition is to go to Grendel one day for Theatre and performance arts. Otherwise, the Fallen spends a decent amount of time putzing around with material art such as paint and drawing, though they have no ambition to have a career in either field. Sprout just likes having an outlet for their ideas.
The Fallen doesn't exactly get up to no good, but their sometimes outlandish ideas and optimistic attitude ("Nothing is going to happen, everyone is nice here!") get Sprout into trouble. Most reoccurring is the messes they create with their art projects, especially when they re-purpose something that should not have been used.
Otherwise, Sprout is big on their friends and most often times can be found with a companion. It is not rare to have to kick them out of other dorms at curfew, though they have fallen asleep places unintentionally more than once more. Whenever needed, they will be there, and they value everything friendship has to offer. When not physically with their friends, Sprout is usually creating something for them, or longing to finish up their homework and join them.
World View:
Sprout loves being apart of Arkham, but in all fairness would be happy at the Academy regardless of House. Sprout does what Sprout wants to do (with only vague acknowledgement of the rules), and most of their education they need for a career will come from University. Classes are not their favorite thing ever, but Sprout is never disrespectful and their work is always turned in on time. Sprout likes getting good marks, so even when there is "better things to do," they'll sit down and do their studying.
Sprout's flock is made of many races, and it does not bother them to be separated from the other Fallen by birth. If anything, they realize that many at the Academy are also cache born, so whining and lamenting about it won't do much more than make friends in misery. They are very content with the relationships they have, and feel like race and biology didn't take much part in creating the relations. However, sometimes when feeling a bit cocky, Sprout will acknowledge being a Fallen in order to backup their rather impressive memorization skills. For the amount of chaos and randomness in their head, Sprout is very good at keeping it organized.
After leaving the Academy and graduating University, Sprout is not sure what they are going to do. Only a Junior, they are aware they have some yet, though becoming a professional visual artist would make them the most happy. While Sprout loves kids, they are not convinced yet they want any, though having a romantic partner (or two) would tickle them pink.

History
Past:
Sprout joined the others from the Cache, looking much like an active and bright child out of the gate. Sociable with almost all of their peers that would tolerate them, the Fallen was easily invested in games and stories, and for that reason alone probably listened the most of the Freshlings at the time. At their youngest Sprout spent more time with other Fallen than he does now, trying to make friends with any winged Nightmare as they were eager to start flying themselves. Mostly out of pure determination, Sprout happily leaned to fly slightly before the rest of their peers, but the spotlight was short lived. Since then, the Fallen has been very comfortable with flying and when they have room, prefers to do so. It is a mystery sometimes how they stay lean. Following learning to fly, their social circle began to expand rapidly to the other races.
Sprout's first introduction to Arkham classes was pleasant, and they were pleased to find things such as art to be considered "grown up." Upon hearing some Nightmares are even able to make a career out of such things, the bright Fallen quickly became smitten with the idea. It took some experimentation around their social circles, but upon learning comedy was not their thing, Sprout began to become more drawn to plays and the art shows. The idea of having their talents on display excited them greatly, and they spent a lot of time shadowing the older Nightmares both willingly and unwillingly. Now old enough to be involved in productions, and to submit more coherent art, Sprout is taking complete control of being a busy body and loves to insert their creativity everywhere.
With class books and notes full of doodles and a bag of pins, buttons, and patches, Sprout has always come off as a bit of a disorganized mess but they do not seem hindered by it. Being placed under constrains bothers them sometimes, such as a rigid class project, but where able Sprout does bend the rules. Valuing their grades and fitting in, the Fallen is still good about doing their assignments as asked, and sometimes the lone thought of "this class will help you graduate" is promising enough to get them through it. Otherwise, Sprout is still very invested in their relationships though it has begun to stress them slightly their friends are also growing up, some taking more mature routes and stances than them. Growing up and losing their perspective on life is maybe one of the most scariest things to Sprout, though their personality is natural to them and not just a persona.

Roleplay Prompt
Prompt Oh no! Your Nightmare has lost something that is very dear them! What have they lost, and how do they react?
Sprout yawned, a thin hand gripping their messenger bag's strap tight as they flew around the outskirts of campus. Taking the hallways bored them sometimes, and being so early in the day, Sprout needed an opportunity to flex their wings before classes began. Admitting, the Fallen may have stayed up too late working on craft projects, but the picture in the magazine had reminded them instantly of Olive. There was nothing special in just giving their friend the magazine straight up, so Sprout had taken the time (and much glue with layers of paper) to turn it into a make-shift standing figure of sorts. The Fallen had even given it a border of cheesy, artificial feathers. In any situation, Sprout would appreciate receiving it.
As they neared the door closest to their short cut to class, Sprout patted down their bag. Olive usually waited for them at the mouth of the hallway, and Sprout was fully ready to spring the gift upon her. Touching their feet down, they flipped the top to the bag to only find the feather-and-glue encrusted gift was gone. "What? No," Sprout practically whined, a hand going up into their hair. They knew they had packed it this morning. They had dodged a few Nightmares this morning on their flight - did it get lost then? The junior looked over their shoulder, frowning heavily. Sprout didn't want Olive to think they hadn't been thinking of her. Olive was a good friend they wouldn't ever give up. Class was too soon though, and Sprout wasn't going to be able to backtrack that quickly without missing both Olive and start of lecture. Begrudgingly, the Fallen pulled open the door and came inside, wings drooping slightly. As always, the demon girl was up ahead and Sprout sighed, chewing their lip.
"Hi Olive," Sprout mumbled, looking almost nervous. They didn't want her to hate them. Truly, Sprout valued their friends! "I had something for you, but I guess I lost it. I'll look later, I promise." Sprout pulled the large eyes, actually sort of the verge of tears. To their dismay, Olive only blinked, scratching her cheek.
"It's okay Sprout. I only saw you last like, ten hours ago," she chuckled, forcing it slightly. She had plenty of Sprout's gifts around. Familiar with this routine, she began the distraction. "Don't worry about it. Did you even sleep last night?"
Sheepish, Sprout ran a hand through their hair again. No matter what Olive said, they were going to go back and look later. Maybe they could skip lunch in order to make sure it didn't blow away first? Or get stepped on? Oh no. They would have to remake it then. Sprout wasn't sure they had any more feathers. "Uhm, maybe? But trust me Olive, when you'll see it, you'll love it."
The demon girl could only sigh softly, but there was a small smile to her lips. There was no way she was going to go back to her dorm today without being given the gift first, was there?
*For the sake of this post, Sprout has a friend name Olive.
