How do I use my Media URL?For the total newbies (this isn't meant to be rude btw)
Classic (v1) Layouts Go to your Profile Preferences page. Under your Theme Override box, there will be a field for you to paste in a multimedia URL. Simply throw in the URL and save! (You can only embed one multimedia object on Classic profiles)
Current (v2) Layouts Go to your Profile > Edit My Profile On the editing menu, click Content, find the Media area, and click the Add button under it Close out of that window, find the newly added Media panel, and click the "Edit" button in the top right of the panel Paste your Media URL into the URL field it gives you

ParametersParameters are extra additions onto your main media URL which can be used for further customization
The basic set-up of Parameters ¶meter=value Parameter is the thing you are changing. Most sites have specific keywords for this, so please reference the individual Media guides for a list of parameters. Value is the new value you are applying to the parameter. Most of these are numbers, but there are some keywords in there as well. Again, all of the individual media guides list the specific parameters you can use on each player as well as their values.
Parameter Exceptions There are two minor things to note when using parameters. Firstly, your very first parameter in a URL must use a question mark ( ? ) instead of an ampersand ( & ) http://media-url-here?parameter=value¶meter=value¶meter=value¶meter=value...
Secondly, Gaia will cut off your URL if it has too many parameters. In this case, you either need to chop off extra parameters or use a URL redirect like tinyURL or goo.gl to shorten it.

Getting direct MP3 URLsCertain media players require direct mp3 urls in order to create the player. This post covers a few of the free and more reliable sites where you can host your mp3 files. There are obviously more options than this, but be warned that some require you to pay or only work for a limited time.
Warning: Be careful about hosting copyrighted songs! Most of the time, they will get disabled.
Internet Archive 1. Go to Internet Archive and make a free account. 2. Once you've confirmed your registration from your email, click the upload icon in the top right. 3. Press "upload" and select the music file you wish to upload. You have the option to add more if desired.* 4. Add a description and subject tags. (These must be filled out for the form to be submitted. It really doesn't matter what you put here as long as there is something in each of those boxes. Page title, page url, and collection also must be filled, but they should already be completed automatically.) 5. Select "upload and create your item." It will take a few moments to load. 6. Under "Download Options," press "VBR MP3." 7. Copy the link of the page that pops up and use it in whichever player you wish.
*When uploading more than one file at once, once the page is done loading, bookmark it. For some reason, when accessing your file uploads under "My Library," some error prevents you from seeing the group of files you last uploaded. Clicking the supposed link will lead you to a page that says that the files cannot be found. If you can still obtain the urls from the finished upload page, though, the mp3 links will still work. It's a little hiccup for uploading multiple files at once.
Note: It is not possible to delete files manually without contacting an administrator, which may not be desirable depending on what exactly you are uploading.
Kiwi6 1. Go to Kiwi6 and make a free account. 2. Once you've confirmed your registration from your email, navigate to the "Account" tab in the top left and choose "File Manager." 3. When the page loads, click "Upload Files," browse for the mp3 file from your computer, and hit "Start Upload." 4. Once the file is done uploading, copy the link from the right box labeled "Direct Hotlinks." 5. Use this link in any player you wish.
Dropbox Dropbox cannot be used due to a policy change they had a while back. Some people try to still use it though, so we're leaving a note here: It won't work.
