Let’s Begin
"Ah, young one. Are you truly ready to seek the wisdom of the ancients and unlock your True Form?" Marcus Ysaride asks you from the seat at his exquisite desk.
You have decided to take the initiative and seek out guidance from a very trusted source: Ysaride himself, leader of the dovaa. After answering his question, he continues.
"Well, there are a few things you need before we can begin. Being a master dovaa, you've gone above and beyond the regular call of duty. You've defeated dragons, studied hard, and proven your worth. Before we can truly begin, you must first bring me five dragon souls of your chosen clan. Then we can begin the ritual. Now go," he says before waving you out of his office and getting back to the paperwork at hand.
—
So, you've been told that you need to gather five of your clan's dragon soul orbs. There are a few ways you can go about doing this. You can actually go out and hunt the dragon's down and kill them (battlers only), do the mini-adventure below to gather them (civilians only), or buy them from Arick Skyeforge (both paths). Once you've obtained the orbs and your profile has been updated to accommodate the change, continue forward with the adventure.
Araceli ran a finger over the dragon orbs she’d sat out in front of her. She had already known what would be needed of her, thanks to Lithian, to complete her true form ritual. Ara touched a finger to each orb, counting in her head. When her fingers landed on the final two, she smiled and scooped them up. Thanks to Detraeus, the task of obtaining the last two orbs she needed had been as simple as him handing them over (not that defeating two ayrala dragons was a hard task for her anymore). She stored the orbs, carefully, into her pack and headed out of her parents house and back to the Celestial Fortress. As much as Ara had enjoyed being back on the Celestial Plane, and seeing her parents, she was anxious to be back home, with her mate. So it had pleased her when Ysaride had said she would only need to wait a couple days before coming back to see him.

Returning to Ysaride
Once the orbs are obtained, you decide to go back to Marcus, who tells you of the second part of this fantastic adventure.
"So, you've brought me back the orbs. Good. Now we must go to an open field. Meet me there in an hour and we shall begin the ritual." he said with a smile as he stood up and left the room.
It was now up to you to meet him in the field one hour from now. How do you spend this hour anticipating his arrival? Explain in 300 words (and a separate post) what you do while you wait for his arrival in the field.
When she arrived back to the fortress, she went through the normal routine of relieving herself of her weapons and making the journey through the various hallways and back to Marcus’ office. She frowned as she handed over her orbs and was told she would need to head somewhere different and wait for an hour. Had she not waited long enough already? She sighed, turned, and headed back out. After retrieving her weapon she made the trek back to her parents’ house, gathered her hastar and set off for the field.
The field laid out before her, a slight wind blowing through the tall grass. By the time she had arrived, a good half hour of time had already passed. She wondered, however, if the dovaa leader was good at keeping to his scheduled times or not. Ara tied off her hastar and patted its neck before moving out into the field and closing her eyes. The wind blew through her hair and coiled around her, as if it knew she was a kindred spirit. The wind had always felt freeing to Araceli, even before she’d chosen her clan.
Her birth parents had been ayrala and, though Ara felt a connection to the wind, she had been reluctant to choose the same clan at first. As she looked back on the past, though, she knew that she had made the right choice and the wind was part of her and helped to form the person that she is today (despite what others of her clan may have done).
As she stood there, Ara called on her magic, shifting the wind’s direction and forcing it in the opposite direction as its original course. Her hair blew forward, wrapping around and hiding most of her body from sight. She remembered the first time she’d fought with her powers and the tiny whirlwind she’d created against an ayrala dragon. When Ara opened her eyes, a small funnel had formed in front of her and it grew to twice her size before she heard sound to her right and her attention jerked in that direction. She let go of her magic, the funnel cloud sputtering out, as she caught sight of Marcus Ysaride, followed by two other dovaas whom she vaguely recalled but couldn’t quite place in her mind.

Ysaride has Arrived
Finally, the hour has finished, and as he said, he was there in the open field outside of the Celestial Fortress exactly one hour after he had said he would. With him were two teachers that you have no doubt at least seen before once in your life. They all worked inside the Fortress after all. In their arms they carried four - what seemed to be staves - in their arms.
"Ah, I'm glad to see you here, Dovaa. Now, to begin the ritual." he said with a smile. "Now, are you ready to begin?" he said.
After hearing your - surely eager - response, he begins to speak again as the associates began to stab the staves into the ground in four points around you, leaving you with a good ten foot radius between each staff. "These staves are the special ritual staves. At the end of each staff is a cup only big enough for a Dragon Soul. Place one dragon soul in each of the four cups and hold one in your hands."
It was now time to begin the ritual.
Araceli nodded at Ysaride’s question. She was as ready as one could be and even more so ready to be done with it all and back home. She watched as the two teachers, at her nod, moved and began placing the staves into the ground at four different points. Ara glanced to Ysaride when he offered her orbs back to her. She took each one, placing them in the staves as she was instructed. When the four was placed, she stepped away from the last staff and moved to the middle of the square.

The Ritual Begins
After you've placed the four dragon souls, the two teachers stand across from each other in between two of the staves with you in the middle.
Ysaride opens a large book and begins to chant as the two teachers spread their hands out towards the staves with closed eyes and faces towards the sky. They, too, begin to chant their own saying.
The Dragon Souls contained in the staves begin to glow, each one bright and one at a time.
Once all four were brightly glowing, Ysaride stopped his chant to speak to you, the two teachers seemed deep in their chanting as he did. "Now, all you must do is crush the orb in your hand. You will feel a rush of power, and your True Form will be revealed." he said with a smile, closing the book and placing it upon the ground, holding his arms out and beginning now, the same chant as the two teachers.
Waves of your clans colored light began to travel from staff to staff, encasing you in the square. Now it was up to you. Crush the orb and reveal your True Form, Dovaa!
Araceli held tight to the orb in her hands, listening to the chanting from all three. She picked up words from each but could not focus on just one of them. It wasn’t until Ysaride stopped chanting and began speaking to her that she looked up from the orb. Already, she could feel the power, from the chants, coursing through her. Per Marcus’ instructions, Ara smashed the orb in her hands. The cracks spider webbed from the center, spreading until finally the orb cracked into pieces and the magic of the ayrala clan began to flow out.
The orbs on the staves began to gather energy, colored light traveling between each of them and then finally flowing into her. Ara’s eyes closed as she surrendered to the magic of her clan.

Final
Now that your True Form has been revealed, Marcus congratulates you on completing the ritual. He explains to you that your powers are now much more unlimited and all the perks of having a True Form.
When the magic and wind surrounding her finally died down, Ara opened her eyes and glanced towards Marcus. He explained to her what the powers of her true form meant and how much more power she would have now that she had managed to unlock it. As a master, she had taken the final step to gain more power and she could feel it coursing through her. Part of her was eager to test the magic out but another part of her was just as eager to get back home.
Ara thanked Marcus, and the teachers, for the opportunity, and went on her way, heading back to her parents’ house to pack and begin her journey back to her mate.
