Rat moved toward the island of Light something about it just drew him toward the simple flower filled field. A soft smiled touched the boy's lips as he made it to the small patio outside the gates of the island. Taking a moment to peer through the gate Rat stared at the flowers causing a starry sky like effect spread out across the island before him. It was so simple yet beautiful he wanted to just go lay in the grass and soon he would but before that the turned and peered at the small patio and the sundial on it. It seemed so out of place. The island seemed so peaceful and while not hidden in pitch blackness.. sort of obscured in a quite darkness with just enough light given off by the flowers for one to see and be able to move around with some ease or maybe that was just how he pictured it in his head.

Wrinkling his nose the rat moved toward the sundial when he finally noticed the floating orb thing that lit the sundial. Stepping closer he stared at he sundial trying to determine the time. He had never been really good with clocks or so he thought. He seemed to be having trouble reading the dial at least. Shaking off the odd thought knowing he couldn't actually remember anything useful from his life before he turned and moved to the gates of the island. Touching the gate as if though he expected it to lash out at him in some for the rat paused for second before smiling and shoving the gate open. " Hello flowers!" He spoke in almost a whisper as he moved past the gates fully into the field of glowing flowers.

Rat looked behind him as he felt another presence. Lifting his hand he waved a bit. "Hello Brenton?" The boy flushed a bit he had been so flustered after waking up he couldn't really recall much of the conversation he had, had with the others who had taken care of him. " This is my island.. I think... I feel I should be here at least... its so peaceful and simple"

Rat nodded as he listened to Brenton. "I'm not sure what Alice in Wonderland is.. though it sounds familiar. Sorry, I was so flustered in the Shop? That I guess I wasn't paying very much attention." Looking around Rat stepped into the long grass and flopped back. " I feel as if though... hmm that this place.. or I guess places is suppose to call to those who come here calling them to find the lock and key they are meant to"

Sitting up Rat frowned as he looked around. "I feel as if though I should be.. I don't know recording what going on in some way. But at the same time wary... As if though before I did not often do thing . I guess I should be looking for the lock and key those little.. thingies want but I just wanna relax here. I don't think I got to see flower in bloom much before.. Something tells me the sun and I were not friends." Having said that the rat looked down at his bandaged hands and winced before leaning to one side and grabbing his tail to look at the bandages on it at well.

Rat titled his head to watch Brenton before turning to his body to face the other boy more. " That story does sound very familiar." Thinking about what the other rat had said about rats and darkness Rat nodded. " I think that could be true. But even though this whole place, I mean here and that main place are rather dark with all the black grass and dark water this island also feels very light, if that makes any sense. I think its cause of the flowers. I think the sun hurts me so I didn't get to go out and see flowers blooming very much but here even though its not very bright and there isn't a big burning sun over head with everything blooming its like day here with a weird light glowy-ness."

Rat shrugged as he stood. " Sure why not. I looked at it before I came in but to be honest I couldn't tell what it said. I have a feeling I was not very good at reading clocks or things like them"

" Sounds like a plan" Moving to the small patio that housed the sundial again Rat tilted his head looking at the orb." I wonder how it know where to float around to so it shows the right time on the dial"

Brenton laughed watching Rat playing around like a little kid, he jumped up and went after the orbs too. So happy to see Rat, having a little fun, after all the nasty stuff he had gone through over the past few weeks. Brenton hoped that Raccoon too would cheer up and have some fun soon..
