Said chantry being the very thing they serve to the fullest. During her attempt to marry Cullen her family makes this incredibly difficult as Cullen is not noble. She attempts to use her brother to help her out with this. Things go bad.

well lets see the time line for one.. the end of DA2 is only a few months from the start of DAI .. DAI only lasts about a year or so maybe 2 if you sided with the mages (if not then play it and get back to me on that) so theres not a lot of time to work with between what he did and where he went so i would say that your best bet is to have them learn about each other before he goes to kirkwall which is 10-12 years before around the time he became a gray warden or while hes in kirkwall before the chantry 2-3 years ago.. that would mean they met before he's disowned by the family so she (unless its yaoi) would have met him.. otherwise she would know of him and be told to not see him and they wouldnt be close.. i might be talking in circles now.. ... put down the laser
