Flying backward through the air, Puck landed hard on his back. The youma he was fighting had just smacked him out of the way as though he was nothing. That pissed the small senshi off more than anything, the frustration of not getting anywhere with the monster. It was a larger youma than he maybe should have been doing battle with on his own, but damn it, the park was in his patrol territory and he wasn't about to let some monster stomp about through his turf destroying stuff! He panted, trying to catch his breath as he sat up again and glared at the youma. "Dammit," he swore. That had been a hard hit; he wouldn't be surprised if a rib had gotten cracked when he landed on the ground. He got to his feet quickly before the thing could attack again, standing wide-legged as he geared up for his next attack. He doubted his usual head-butting attack would have any effect on it, so he would have to try another angle. "Right," he muttered. With a snarl he charged the youma again, hoping he could somehow find its weak spot and hit it with a fist. T e b i k ii Here you go! Sorry this took so long -- let me know if it works for you!

Mjolnir had been watching, Golden eyes tracing the movements of the White Moon Senshi. He was having trouble, yet still she watched in silence from the shadows. Battle was the name of the game, power was gained through pain, and she was not going to take away this chance for him to advance - Basic senshi like him and her, they were of little use until they evolved. Nevertheless she stayed nearby in case he needed assistance. she was not about to let the Negaverse claim another victory.
Mjolnir had already been in one battle tonight, her knuckles were bloodied and torn and her knees bruised and black. Taking on a Youma on her own was not the best idea giving her condition, but she was sure she would still be able to contribute towards a duo fronted confrontation. She had another attack in her, but if she used it she would be unable to ward off the White Moon Senshi if he turned on her. The Dark MIrror's reputation was tainted and dark, and she knew that she took a risk every time she decided to side with Order. Many did not believe her intentions were pure.
She winced as he landed on the ground, that one must have hurt.
Sinking back behind the wall which granted her cover she flexed her fingers and cracked her knuckles, this was not going to be pleasant - but it was go time.
The brunette darted from the back alley, her shoes pounding the floor and her body armour sounding with a metallic sheen at the folds in her skirt caressed each other. It was not practical armour, but it rang none the less. By the time she had got to his side he had already collided with the beast.
Taking the opportunity Mjolnir jumped, her eyes flaring red from the activation of her attack, a blood like aura surrounding her body. As the beast leaned backwards Mjolnir's first collided with it, sending it sprawling backwards down the street. Granting them both the gift of space.
Her ability meant she could summon strength unknown to normal men, even beyond the normal physical boost that came with powering up. She hit hard, but could not hit often and it usually damaged her body. Her knuckles twinged as she landed on her feet, graphing her hand with a uncomfortable look painted on the face. The monster stared, stunned but not dusted.
"Go on, this is your chance!" She shouted towards the blonde haired man, her tone aggressive mostly due to her own strain.

At the same moment Puck hit the youma again, he felt an aura. A Chaos aura. Before he could react, a young woman who was glowing blood red also hit the monster, knocking it back with such force it practically flew away and crashed onto the street. He'd never seen anything like it before. Where had she come from, and why did she feel like that snot-nosed little Dark Mirror he'd bested on his first night as a senshi? She was right, though -- this was his chance. Locking eyes with her for an instant, he nodded in acknowledgement, then charged the youma as it lay stunned. The senshi began to pound it with his fists, knocking its head back and forth with the force of his blows. The creature flailed at him, but it didn't have the sense to hit back, not at this point. It roared and screamed as Puck pummeled it. Then with one last blow it shrieked and disintegrated in a poof of glittering dust, the thing's dying howls echoing off the buildings. Puck stood there for a moment amid the shower of youma dust, panting as he caught his breath. He'd beaten the thing! Then he remembered the senshi who had aided him -- and that she wore black. Turning back toward her, he spread his legs in a defensive posture, prepared for anything. She was the enemy, after all. "Who are you?" he asked cautiously.

"My name is Mjolnir. Dark Mirror Senshi of Berserkers." The brunette stated, standing straight and proud. She could sense the tense air that surrounded them going cold, her golden eyes slits as she looked at him. He was suspicious, maybe her judgement was off? She folded her arms in front of her, the translucent cape she donned floating in the wind at her stead.
"Go ahead. I used the last of my power defending you. If you want to repay my kindness by snapping my neck it would be easy. Like shattering a sheet of ice under your boot." She raised an eyebrow, her tone factual and sharp but not aggressive. Her look gentled, a sign escaping rose lips. "Or, you could repay my deed with conversation."She could feel her knees shake, she was tired and her body was screaming to relax.
She was just hoping her poker face was strong enough not to give away her desperate state.

Puck eyed Mjolnir sharply as she spoke. Her aura, tainted with Chaos, set the small hairs on the back of his neck standing on end. He had no reason to trust her, or even believe what she was saying. She was a Dark Mirror. And yet… she had helped him. He'd been a bloody fool for going up against so large a youma, and he had surely been headed for serious harm, or worse. And yet she'd thrown herself at the monster, despite the fact that he was White Moon. She had effectively saved him and given him the break he needed to dust the thing. Why would she do that? He had to find out. He relaxed his stance, still keeping an eagle eye on her. "Alright," he agreed. "I reckon I at least owe you that much." In truth, he probably owed her his life. But he was too uncertain of her motives to acknowledge that. Was she telling the truth about expending the last of her power? The twinge in his side told him that he had better hope that she was; he'd almost certainly cracked a rib in that last blow from the youma, just before Mjolnir had shown up. He was in no shape for a fight. "So why did you defend me? I'm the enemy, right?"

Mjolnir exhaled, her whole body relaxing at his words.
The wave of relief that came over her was obvious, and the brunette slid to the ground to kneel, her legs gracefully tucked under her as pale hands rested on her knees. Wayward strands of hair cascaded from her braided updo, some of which gently stoked her pale face in the wind.
"Is your world really so black and white? I have no reason to call you an enemy, have you?" She asked, amber eyes raising to meet his. Her words were controlled and to the point.
She knew he did not trust her, just because he did not want to engage in a battle meant very little when it came to these situations. He was injured by the looks of things so this parley could be nothing more than him trying to avoid further distress.
"What is your name?"

Hearing her words, Puck felt slightly ashamed that he automatically assumed Mjolnir would view him the same way he viewed her. He didn't know very much about the Dark Mirror court at all, only what Faust had told him -- that they were in league with the Negaverse. Who were the enemy. Therefore, the Dark Mirrors were the enemy as well. But… who was to say that they all felt the same way? Clearly they weren't the Negaverse, even if they were allied with them. Their name indicated they were their own entity, with their own rulers and their own agenda. Maybe Mjolnir was acting on her own, or maybe she was acting as others of her faction acted. No, because his first fight was with a Dark Mirror senshi. Puck was deeply confused and growing more so by the moment. He watched Mjolnir sink to her knees, completely exhausted, and the White Moon senshi did the same, clutching his side in pain. It could be a ploy on her part, get him in a weak and vulnerable position and attack him. Her attack was pretty fearsome, too; his only defense would be his magic, which was little defense at all. But she seemed to genuinely mean to cause him no harm. Conversation with her was a risk he was at the moment willing to take. "Puck," he replied, "of the Woods. Pleasure to meet you." He gave her a small wry smile. "And thank you for helping me out with that monster."

"There is no need. I could not let that thing roam around the city freely, even if it was not engaged with you I would have acted the same." She shook her head, she did not need thanking for doing her job, but it was pleasant for him to do it regardless. Puck? Mjolnir blinked. It took every ounce of her strength not to start spouting out literary references. Once upon a time she had been a huge book nerd, another time, in another life.
"Well Puck, since I seem to have your attention for now I will use this opportunity to preach a little. I am a part of the Dark Mirror, but much like the White Moon we have factions and groups within out group that believe and fight for different things. My own group wants to see an end to the Negaverse... and we are looking for allies to aid us. It is a delicate matter, one that we can not rush into. However when war breaks out between us, and it will, we need to know we are not alone." She started, a speech she had recited again and again.
She had taken it on herself to make these connections, as of yet she was having very little luck, but she still tried anyway. The brunette paused to observe his reaction, before she was to carry on with her proposal.

Listening to Mjolnir speak, Puck studied her, thinking. How did that saying go, 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend'? That there were factions within the White Moon was to be expected; why shouldn't there be factions within the other sides as well? At the very least, he was learning a little bit more about the Dark Mirror court. His curiosity was piqued though. "An end to the Negaverse? That's a noble cause indeed, as far as I'm concerned." The White Moon senshi shifted position, trying to ease the pain in his side. "I'd like to see those bastards wiped off the face of the earth meself. They're nothing but a blight," he practically spat. "In that at least you have my support. As for becoming allies…" Puck eyed her again, hard. "Who's to say you wouldn't turn on us when it was all over and done? I'm not saying you personally would, or the rest of your group, if you're as up front about seeking allies as it sounds. But what about the rest of the Dark Mirror? Are they the enemy as well?"

"I would not call it noble. We were all called to arms; not replying to that call would mean rejecting what we are. Just because we draw power from different sources; be it light or darkness - does not mean we do not share a battlefield, that we do not both want an end to the loss and bloodshed."
Who would choose this life? To this day this war manifested itself as insanity in her eyes. She wanted it to end; she wanted to be able to sleep easily.
"I could say the same for you; my friends are very far and few between. Even if some to you come to our aid, it does not mean the others will not lynch us for our sins. It is a risk I have to take; and if it means turning the tables and breaking free of the chains that shackle us then I will gladly let them.
At least then we will be free."
"The truth is not even I have many friends within the Dark Mirror; I would see everyone as an enemy until they prove otherwise."
Mjolnir shrugged, there was nothing she could say to reassure him and the truth was she did not want to. She was not naive enough to think there was not genuine corruption and evil amongst her peers; she knew that most were just scared and misguided,
but most was not all.
"The way I see it, chaos and order are matching each other blow for blow.
The tables will not turn in your favour until those who draw strength from that chaos use it to choke itself."
