Sinistra was not going to admit it if anyone asked her, but at the moment she was very, very lost. She was great when it came to patrolling near the library and her home, but she had wandered a bit far tonight, and was not exactly sure where she was.
Yes, she could climb up on to a roof top, but that was so unlady like, and what if someone saw up her skirt? Not to mention all the dirt that collects on unkept rooftops.
She wrinkled her nose at the very thought of putting her hand in a pile of dust.
Sticking to the streets was a much safer, and cleaner, option for her, but it seemed to have its own drawbacks. Sighing heavily, she looked around and hoped she might get some kind of sign. Literal or figurative, at this point, would be helpful.
Sigh.

Sherwood more of less roamed all over the city now. She probably wasn't supposed to with the near misses and the run ins she'd had but she couldn't help herself. Helping Maia transcend, doing real good, she felt good about it. She wasn't the best fighter but she could protect people and she could make things better.
All in all, she was feeling much more confident.
She came across the aura of a senshi, she thought, and moved to come closer. She hadn't had a lot of luck talking to senshi for very long but she was always eager to visit and make new friends and give lots of hugs. Hugs could save the world. She believed that with all of her heart.
"Hi there!"
She bounced down from the roof she'd been crossing, coming up to a stop in front of the senshi.
"I'm Sherwood."

Sinistra felt another aura approaching and perked up a bit. It was a White Moon aura, at least, though she was still trying to learn the difference between Knight and Senshi and all the different power levels.
It was complicated! But she was a very good student, and determined to learn. She just... had not run in to one of each yet, so she had very little frame of reference to compare things with.
The source of the aura fell from the sky, and Sinistra smiled at her sheepishly, shyly, in a feeble effort to greet her.
"Uh. Hello Sherwood. I'm... my name is Sinistra. It's nice to meet you. You're a knight, aren't you? A... page, if I remember correctly? Not a senshi, like me." She smiled. The best way to learn something was to repeat it out loud, or even teach someone else. So she found asking very direct questions helped her solidify her knowledge.

"Yeah, a page."
Pretty low on the totem pole, all things considered. But Sinistra didn't feel much stronger than she was, just different. She wasn't really wary of any of the White Moon. So far her run ins with them had been peaceful and helpful so she offered Sinistra a smile and left her demeanor open and relaxed to show friendship.
"So, Sinny, come here often?"
She wasn't super familiar with the area but she knew enough to follow the main roads to get somewhere she did know. She could always power down and take a cab if she needed to at the end of the night. She told her dad she was out with Westley, to make sure he didn't worry.
She would much rather have been with Westley, honestly, but new friends were good too.
"How's your fighting?"

"Sinny?"
Well, it was not the worst name she could be given. She was not much for nicknames, and only a few people got away with calling her a nickname in her civilian life. Her family, of course, and some of her friends. As few as their numbers were.
Her real name was Samantha. Naturally, people liked to call her Sam. She generally requested they did not.
In any case, at least Sherwood wasn't calling her Sinner, or something like that.
"Uh. Well. No, not often. I uh. This isn't where I normally patrol. I'm not very comfortable... to be honest. Uhm." She did not want to come out and say she was lost, but maybe she could... accompany Sherwood on a patrol... somewhere else.
"My fighting? Uh. Oh, you mean if I'm a good fighter or not? Well, I'm not exactly the strongest, and it's certainly not a... natural talent. Uhm. I'd much rather not fight, if it came to it."

In their day to day Caydence was one of the few that got away with calling her Sam because they knew each other from Miss Goddard's finishing summer camp. She had no idea that was who she was talking to at the moment but her trend of not calling people by their given names, powered or otherwise. She honestly meant no disrespect by it; it was simply her way.
She frowned at the answer. She had no wanted to fight either and that had almost earned her a spear through the chest.
"You really ought to learn. I mean, I'm not the best either. Maybe we can practice?"
She usually just flailed with her bow, whacking at things that got in her way.
"There's a good place to go up ahead. I go there all the time to patrol, be alone."
She grabbed Sinistra's hand and practically dragged her along, ducking down side streets to come out by a wooded park. She crossed the street and moved into the woods, ending up at a clearing where they were surrounded by trees. They weren't likely to be seen by passersby. It was immediately evident that Sherwood was completely at home here, as her smile grew wider and she boosted herself up the nearest tree.
"Pretty isn't it?"

"Oh, of course! I would love to train a little. The only training I've had so far was practicing my magic with a corrupt senshi, and doing a bit of foot and hand work with a youma!"
That sounded very odd, now that she said it out loud. of course, when she trained with the youma, there had been another white moon senshi there, and they had both learned a lot!
And the youma was very friendly. So was the corrupt senshi. In fact, most of the Chaos folks she met had been pretty nice and at least liked to talk instead of trying to fight her seriously. Not all of them. But most.
She preferred the nice ones.
Getting dragged around was a surprise, but she let the other pull her about. Something seemed oddly... familiar, but she could not place what. Once they came to a stop she took the time to readjust her fuku and make sure she was not wrinkled or dirty before she looked up to see Sherwood in a tree.
"Oh, get down from there! you're going to get covered in sap and bugs! And if you fall, you'll skin your knee or ruin your clothes!"

Sherwood laughed, lounging on a large branch. She did it all the time with Newgrange and was comfortable in trees in or out of costume, except when her sleeves got in the way. Then she usually fell and laughed about it as she lay on the ground getting dirty. It hadn't happened often but it had happened and she was never put off of climbing trees when it did.
Hearing Sinny's pleas she rolled off the branch and dropped neatly to the ground, dust getting on her catch all sleeves.
"You don't like to climb?"
She stood, brushing herself off. Sherwood picked up her bow and held it en garde, offering to dual Sinistra. Her playful grin told her it was not a serious battle, but something meant to amuse them both and help them with their instincts. She was not going to smack at her wildly this time, trying to get some finesse into her attacks.
"I'm going to attack you, ok?"
That was all the warning she got before her wooden bow was heading toward her side.

"I don't like to climb," she confirmed, shaking her head slowly. She was not interested in getting dirty for no reason, after all. Hell, even when she had an important reason, she was still not super eager to get mucky. She hated filth, and cared far more about her appearance than she probably should.
She just wanted to be presentable at all times.
She tried to focus on the battle at hand, though, nodding her head at the warning and lifting her arms in a sort of defensive pose. She remembered the basics she had learned from Merlinite, and she was ready to at least try to put them to some sort of use.
Of course, she failed spectacularly at the test, which was not something she liked to do. The bow hit her on the side rather hard, and she let out an eep before skipping sideways and trying to find an attack position.

Sherwood was not expecting to have hit her.
She blinked once, feeling instant regret. She was only trying to help and in mock battles people could be hurt but she felt bad when it happened to, presumably, nice people. Her face reflected her regret and she gave Sinistra an opening to hit her without really meaning to.
"Are you...oof!"
She was hit in return, stumbling back a step. It took her a moment to register but when she did her concern went out the window. Her new friend was fine, and surprisingly agile. She laughed and launched another quick assualt with her bow, aiming for harmless parts of Sinny's body and trying not to hit too hard.
"See? We can do this!"
At least, in theory

Sinistra let out a surprised sound when she managed to land a hit, holding her hands up in victory for a moment before she realized she had to follow through and could not just break character when she landed one hit. Still, she had managed to do it, and that was exciting!
"This isn't too bad!"
She did her best to dodge the bow, clumsy but managing to hurry out of the way of the swing. With a little distance, she opted to hold out her hands and try her magic.
It was not going to hurt anyone, but she needed to figure out how to utilize it a bit more.
"Clean sweep!" she called, a semi-transparent broom appearing between her hands. She motioned like she was about to clean the floor, sending a gust of wind toward Sherwood.

Sherwood was disappointed when she did not manage to hit again, but that meant that Sinistra was making progress and that was good. She was happy to help with that, giving a celebratory squeal as she made her victory gesture. She didn't take advantage of the lapse, though she probably should have, and resumed again when she was done.
Magic.
Sherwood had no magic. She had nothing but her bow for protection and was surprised when the senshi made her attack. This was the first one she'd ever seen and the gust of wind that picked up caught her. Dust was swirled into her eye and she was knocked back a few steps. It took some hard blinking to clear the dirt out and a moment to steady herself on her feet.
"Whoa! That was cool!"
She wished she could do cool things like that.

Sinistra looked just as surprised as Sherwood, having never actually used the magic on someone before. It did not occur to her that the wind might knock someone off balance, and thus be good at key moments in a fight, or that the dust it kicked up could be used as a distraction.
Maybe having a broom wasn't as bad as it seemed.
"Oh my! I'm very surprised, to be honest! I've used it before, but I've only seen it, not... you know. Applied it. I think I might be able to use it tactfully, at least for some good! Thank you! I would not have known that before a pinch if I kept practicing it alone!"
She was very excited, as learning was always her favorite thing to do, and she felt like she had just learned something very important. It would maybe help her a great deal in fights to come, as she had been told there would be plenty ahead.
"Do you have magic with your bow? My broom can't stay, but you seem to be able to have yours all the time, which seems much more useful!"

"No," she shrugged. "I don't have any magic. This bow is only pretty good for whacking people occasionally. Otherwise it doesn't do much."
She handed Sinistra her bow to examine. It was cute, but nothing too impressive. Still, she'd gotten used to it's heft and took comfort in having it just in case she needed to whack someone on the head or something. She'd run into a few occasions where it had proven useful and, if she could believe others, someday she'd grow and it would gain magic to do...something.
"You're lucky you get magic on the first level. I wish I had."
She was seriously envious. Magic that could knock someone down would be super useful in getting away or catching up to them which she often found she needed to do, especially with youma. Senshi sort of had it lucky in her eyes.

Sinistra looked thoughtfully at the bow, shaking her head and offering the Page a smile.
"Well, at least you can hit things with it! sometimes, that's more useful than magic. Just being able to do some damage, or get away. That's not bad at all! We don't get any sorts of weapons, as far as I know, so that's pretty good."
She tried to look on the bright side of things when she could, and she was feeling more and more comfortable in the conversation at the moment. It was usually pretty hard for her to talk to people, but being a senshi seemed to be magic in its own, specific to Sinistra way: it helped her come out of her shell a bit more.
"And just think, you'll get magic and a weapon next, right? So that seems like a good upgrade to me."
