This is a private roleplay and AIM log between Arcadia Sinclair and Adoration Sinclair (Mahogany Sunset) & Honor/Strife Sinclair (RockerWolfie1616).
Adoration and Honor/Strife are being roleplayed as foals.

Adoration crawled among the reeds, not caring that her brilliant coat was getting dirty. The cool muck felt sweet on her skin, like it would hide her, just the way she liked it. It was also advantageous: the less of her coloring there was to look for, the smaller the chance of her brother finding her. They'd been talking about this game for a while, and while it sort of felt wrong to start it while Dad and Resurrection were off on a search for food... She just couldn't handle the anticipation anymore. And so she'd given in, and now they were playing hide and seek. Mama was somewhere, too, watching to make sure nobody cheated.

Scooting herself down a little further into the mud of the pond's bank, Addy used the darkness of her wings to cover the bright spots that still showed, shoving the colorful ends of her pinions into the mud. Good luck trying to find me now!

Stepping through the shadows Honor did his best to listen..with all eyes closed and ears straining. However nature wouldn't stand still for their game of hide and seek. Chirping birds, chattering chipmunks, a splash or splish when frogs leapt into the pond. Filtering through the background noise the young foals eyes eventually opened. "Hmm." Flaring all six wings wide he moved with a swift assuredness, thinking Adoration was behind a nearby cluster of rocks. Hunkering low his head popped over the edge of the stony surface "Boo!" Drat! Frowning his nose bumped along the ground, snuffling loudly for a whiff of 'Addys' scent. "She was here..but, the plains aren't a clever hiding spot. The water would be too loud.." Thinking aloud Honor went back to hunting, occasionally catching a whiff of his sly sister but, it was confusing to say the least. It was only after his third circle around the pond that the young male realized what was happening. How clever his sister was! Grinning wide he carefully stepped through the ponds muddy embankment..trying to not squish anything important or get too messy. It was as he walked that a nearby tiny bit of color caught his eye. Like Daddy Vapor's hair..but, much smaller. "I see you!! " moving more quickly than before Honor snuffled at the muddy lump that was his sibling..giggling at her amazing camouflage. "Found her Mama! Did you see?" With a snort he began poking at Adoration in a few of her ticklish spots; smearing the mud onto his own body. "My turn Addy!"

Adoration had listened as her brother approached and circled her, trying not to giggle every time he missed her. It was all she could do to keep the squeak behind her lips when she heard a "Boo!" nearby. But he hadn't yet found her - at least, she thought he hadn't, when suddenly, she heard his voice so close to her ear. With a little eep, Addy rolled sideways just in time to feel his muzzle tickle at the sensitive spot just under her wing. Squealing, she flailed her legs away from her brother, carefully moving her wings as she rolled so as not to crush them beneath her body. "Mama, Honor's tickling me!" she cried, folding her pinions over her face and peeking up at her brother with a michievous eye.

Quote:
Lifting her head from the pile of round stones she'd been nosing about, Arcadia looked up at her pair of foals. She shook her head, a smile on her face. "You two!" she called, her tone a little bit admonishing. "Honor, stop tickling your sister and go hide with your brother. Addy, come here." As the filly complied, Arcadia folded the downy feathers of her bottommost wing over the little one's face.

A muffled "I can't see!" came from under the wing, and Arcadia chuckled. "You're not supposed to see, my love. We have to wait for Honor to hide before I can let you go."

Quote:
Laughing joyously Honor splashed a bit of mud in his sister's direction before hearing their mother's lovely voice in the distance. Head buzzing with activity the foal frowned "Quiet Strife! I wanna play with Addy, you just watch. I know a good hidin spot." Grinning mischeviously and tossing his mane the young male darted through the brush as soon as his sister's eyes were covered. "No peeking!" Yes, he knew the most amazing spot but his brother kept whispering. 'Let's hide far off near that dark cave I found a few days ago.' Disagreeing the foal snuck into the tall grass of the nearby plain. Ducking low he stepped carefully to try and avoid bending the grass too much. "No we'll hide here, besides there's mud on me to help cover some of the brightness. Now shhh..Addy will be coming soon." Crouching among the grass the muddy little male used his wings as cover..tucking them over his body like a shell. She'd never find them here!

Quote:
Arcadia watched her son hide, anxiously watching to make sure he didn't pick too risky a hiding spot - if Strife was in charge, he might, but from the looks of it, Honor was still at the helm. He didn't venture into the pool itself and try to hold his breath, or wander toward the woods to try to sneak between trees. She watched him wiggle into the grass of the plain, and let out a breath of relief when the grass stopped waving only a few feet in. That would be his hiding spot, then, unless Strife decided to pick a new one halfway through the round. She wouldn't put it past the more chaotic of the two. Just in case, she stood there for about twenty seconds more with her wing over the filly's eyes.

When the little one was squirming to get a move on, Arcadia rolled her eyes and freed the filly, but held her back with a pair of wings clasped around her chest. "Ah, ah, ah," she said. "You have to let him know you're looking for him. Say 'come out, come out, wherever you are' as loud as you can so he knows he can't move anymore."

Quote:
Making a little "mmph" sound, Adoration wriggled out of her mother's grip, leaving a bunch of mud behind. "Come out, come out, wherever you are!" she called, grinning up at her Mama. She looked around at their home, and suddenly it seemed filled with hiding places. Prancing about, she decided to cross off where she had hidden - it wouldn't be too smart for him to try to hide there. Buuuut would it? If he knew that was what she would think, she better check it anyway. Wandering over to the muddy bank, Addy squelched around for a little bit, looking for any sign of her brother. She didn't see any, so she moved back up the bank, checking that cluster of boulders on one side of the pond, that stand of cattails on the other...

Finally, her systematic search brought her to the edge of the plains, but she couldn't really see any change in the line of long grass... Frowning, she walked up and down the line, and then stuck her wingtips in, rustling the grass as she went. Maybe I can find him this way...
