Story, Effects, and Goals: Orphan / Non-Orphan: Non-Orphan Childhood/Life: Circe led a quiet childhood with generally common, normal parents, however his willingness to get away from that simple lifestyle is exactly what drove him from home. Growing up, he’d shown a talent for entertainment and generally hamming around, but he’s grown to be uncomfortable staying in one place, as his audience becomes too “samey” for him. His parents saw this in him at a young age, and noted he liked being the center of attention and that his favorite thing was to make them and his friends laugh, and as the years moved on, he willed to travel out away from home to see new people and things. His career would go nowhere if he were home all the time, which they understood, and let him go so long as he wrote them occasionally. The world is full of different races, the war of which put everyone in strange positions toward each other - some were fine, some weren't, but Asphodel Gardens seemed to be the one place where there wasn't any conflict. Circe hadn't cared much to listen to the bad stories when he was younger, but he understood them all the same. His view was that they were all one and the same - creatures that lived, breathed, and spoke. A friend of one race meant the same as a friend from another, they were all friends of his anyway, so why worry? Friends who have no parents at the school is a common thing, and therefore Circe chooses to rarely talk about his. Moreso to keep the moods up and high rather than down, and because he believes it rude. The fastest way to get Circe's mood down, is to be sad. He understands this pain, and while in school, uses his ability to make people laugh as a sort of buffer for that. However, his reluctance to speak about it isn't outright denied either; his friends at least are aware he has a family, but he doesn't disclose too much information elsewise. Nor does he feel the need to, given his homelife to him was uninteresting, and not worth an exciting story anyway. Personality: Given this carefree, relaxed look on life and those around him, he doesn't seem to react really to anything negative. Circe has developed over time, a sort of defense mechanism where his mind immediately either deflects things with a joke, or with a quick word of wit to make them laugh it away. He's too rash, and childish sometimes, however, which influences his school work and how he views having to be in class. Given his itch to move, he dislikes being in class and needing to focus on school, therefore occasionally he likes to act the class clown - however he also knows this is necessary to succeed, and tries his best to keep his grades up. If only so when he's finally out, he can do what he went there for to begin with... and not go immediately back home to his simple, rather boring life. Effect: This has had both good and bad effects on Circe’s personality, and his goals. Firstly that he showed talent in something he also enjoyed doing, and also that the talent had effects on his attitudes about home and settling down. He can rarely stay in one place, however for the sake of his dreams, has forced himself to become accustomed to school in order to achieve his lifelong dream. Aside from that, he has trouble making friends and keeping them with his itchy feet, but at the same time doesn’t view it that way. While his friends often see it as him leaving them, Circe believes no matter where he goes, he simply has more and more friends. Overall he has a very carefree, and brash way of living while on his own. World Goals: Traveling from place to place and seeing different things, but his long-term dream is working as either a traveling performer, or simply a comfortable knighthood with a sharp tongue drowning in political intrigue – whichever shows hints of coming first.

Traits, (Dis)Likes, and Hobbies: + Positive Traits: Ambitious, quick-tongued, upbeat and positive, hard to bring down, adventurous, flirty with others, always willing to listen and help, and quick to tell a story of something he’s seen on his travels. His willingness to listen is one of his best traits. While he understands the need to happiness and jokes, he knows when things get serious too. One of the biggest things to appear in Asphodel is the need to talk about families. Even if he can't provide much advice, given he doesn't know himself, he always lends an ear to listen, or to just be there for when someone needs to vent. His ambition is what drives him through school - and pretty much the only thing. He knows full well without it, he'll go nowhere. Not from the common blood he comes from, in the quiet life of solitude. Though school is hard for him to pay attention, he forces himself through it for the sole purpose of chasing his dreams. His sense of adventure makes him almost immune to most fear normal folks would have of leaving home, as well. If this hadn't been a part of him, deep in his soul, he'd still be home and not at school. Nothing makes his blood race then stepping out into the unknown. - Negative Traits: Brash, selfish, sometimes obsessive, too laid-back, uncomfortable in one place, frivelous, rarely takes anything very seriously, enjoys the drama of intrigue, very cheeky, sometimes sarcastic, and sometimes that gets him in big trouble. However, his brashness and occasionally obsessive need to leave home and move around is sometimes bad for his friendships. While he views things to be absolutely fine, and that he just has friends all over, they often feel shafted, or that he doesn't actually care for them when he moves on to see something new. His friendships occasionally actually fall apart without him even knowing. His pleasure in drama and political problems would make him a good jester... except that he has a terrible habit of just enjoying it far too much. It's a vice that puts a damper on his personality, one of the things that brings out almost a sort of dark side in him. He knows it's wrong, but can't help but at least listen in on something if it involves a juicy story. His cheekiness and sarcastic wit is also a thing good for jesters, but very bad for a student. Especially as young as he is. Most times it gets him detention, other times it almost invokes a fight. It's rarely intended that way, mostly he sees it as a form of poking fun, but sometimes he doesn't know where the boundary of "stop" and "go" are. Sometimes a sharp word from a friend will quickly make him wilt down and realize he'd done wrong, in which case he's completely willing to apologize and try to fix whatever he broke. ♥ Likes: Travel, storytelling and entertaining, food – lots of it, the easy life, general fun and excitement, parties and also personal quiet time, daydreaming about life after school, writing to his family, pets and animals. ♦ Dislikes: Sleep, tons of negativity, the feeling of hunger, homework, dealing with living in dorms for school at the moment, focusing for long periods of time, being home alone for far too long, singing, being called-out in class, and being unable to snack there, too. ♥ Hobbies: Journal-writing, drawing, dancing, practicing voices, making up his own jokes.

RP Prompt Response: Prompt 3: Your Nightmare has to write an essay on what they want to be when they grow up. Do they procrastinate or get to work immediately? What is their essay about? Response: Circe taps his pencil and glowers at the paper in front of him, resting his head oddly on his other arm while he thinks. There’s too much to write. Worse, he has no idea how to properly organize his thoughts, since everything seemed to be one incoherent mess. He contemplated the few places he’d been, then back home to his family and how quiet things were. What had motivated him to do that? Why did he leave home? He pondered and chewed on that thought a little while before nodding his head. He’d left to find adventure and a new life for himself, one that he could make his own, exactly how he wanted. No one to tell him what to do, no rules, no groundings, and friends everywhere. He stared at his paper though, loathe to actually start it right now while he sat in class, watching everyone else out of the corner of his eye. Bored. The best life he could think of that he wanted was to make people laugh. Laughing and fun times were what felt good in life, it was something he was familiar with and knew how to do. The highest job he could think of to achieve just that would be a performer, and one that took their show on the road. It was literally perfect. Everything he was in one big happy package. So he scribbled. He wrote everything he could down of his short travels from home to school, hoping to be done with it soon so he could start on his dream. He wrote, in his awful writing, of all the things he wanted to learn how to do for performances – voice mimickry, dancing, tricks... all but singing. He hated singing, and he’d leave that to those who dedicate their entire time to doing it instead. When he was done and he proofread what he wrote, it was a short three-paragraph blurb of all the things he looked forward to and hoped he’d achieve, then set it down on the desk with his pencil on top, folding his arms and resting on them with a sleepy groan.

~Staff Crit!~ Appearance: - Demons do not have claws. They could have longer finger nails IC'ly but they would not show on the art. If you wished for them to have actual claws, they would need to be a Litch or a Litch/Demon hybrid. Chimera also have visible claws on their art, but also have a different style of horns, wings, and tail. - I'm fairly certain face 2 is the "male" version of 4. Faces can also be spliced if you'd rather the mouth on 4 be with 2's eyes. Backstory: - You need to mention something about how he feels about his academy house, how he feels about his race, and about other races. - How does his having a family impact his relationships with his school mates? Most of the children he'd be around in Asphodel Gardens are orphans from the war and don't have any direct knowledge of their families. Is he sympathetic to them? Does he avoid mentioning that he has a family to fit in better? - You mention he has aspirations of being a noble. Are his parents of noble blood? Because that kind of ranking is hereditary, unless he were to manage to get some sort of knighthood (and it would be possible like actors and musicians are knighted for long illustrious careers or their charitable works). Also if he's of a higher social standing, what made him want to go to Asphodel Gardens? Or was it just to get away from his parents and be "on his own" as the school is a boarding school and he wouldn't see his parents except for holiday breaks and summer vacation and the like. Personality: - Your need to elaborate upon at least three of your positive and negative traits. How do these traits impact him? Why are they seen as either positive or negative aspects of his personality. - Also please include a short write up of his personality as a whole. RP Prompt: - Looks fine.

Faces can also be spliced if you'd rather the mouth on 4 be with 2's eyes. Deleted the bit about claws, I assumed the pointed fingers were claws on the base. If they don't show on the base that's fine, I'll just mention his nails in RP occasionally. I also assumed because this states they do have claws from the race guide:They have horns that protrude from their foreheads which can vary in size from short nubs to long and graceful. While their tails aren't suitable for much other than showing mood, their pointed claws and teeth are sturdy enough to cause damage.Quote: Backstory: - You need to mention something about how he feels about his academy house, how he feels about his race, and about other races. - How does his having a family impact his relationships with his school mates? Fixed all - no his family isn't noble blood, they're commonfolk. Edited to add that in somewhere, and noted knighthood in instead. And yes, he just wanted to get away from common life and try something more exciting.Quote: Personality: - Your need to elaborate upon at least three of your positive and negative traits. Fixed and fleshed out, added his personality into the section where his Backstory is for organization.

Lore Note: - I talked with everyone else who handles Lore, Demon "claws" are more like having perfectly manicured nails at all times that have a pointed tip. They don't show in official art, and aren't much longer than a normal finger nail. If you wanted them to wear their nails longer, you would just have to mention IC'ly in RP if it was necessary to mention at all. Traits: - I find "Willingness to Listen" out of place. You state in his personality overview that he doesn't seem to react to negative stimuli, and is quick to deflect things that start to get serious with a joke or word play. This trait is contradictory. - Ambition sounds more like "Determination." Ambition is more when you're will do anything to get ahead and advance your status no matter what, even if it means hurting others along the way. He is definitely more Determined than ambitious. - Your first negative trait is really more like "Negligent" or possibly "Oblivious." Brash would be suited if he did things without thinking and possibly randomly that could put him in danger without thinking of the consequences. As this trait is only directed at his relationships with other people it isn't really brash. - Re-word your second negative. It sounds like he's a "Gossip" or just "Nosy," but it reads kind of weird. Also "jester" would be more like "stand-up comedian" the world setting is psuedo-modern so very much like our own in terms of cultural standing. And just remember that at younger ages, he probably won't understand many of the ramifications of political intrigue or scandals. As he gets older his interest in the scandalous doings of political figures will make more sense, but a child is more likely to do commentary about teachers or cafeteria food. - This trait is also kind of more like "Smart-Mouthed," or possibly just "Sarcastic?" You need to specifically spell out what the trait you're trying to demonstrate, otherwise I and Kanna aren't entirely sure what you mean. - You mention he likes "the easy life," but life for performers isn't exactly easy. There's always something they can be doing, practicing, coming up with new material, learning new skills. I mean he can like it, but it's not something he's going to get very often. - How does he manage to do all the research he needs to put together new acts if he can't focus for long periods of time? I'm sure you mean like hours upon hours at a time. Coupled with how you mention he can't sit still in class, he sounds flighty and that he doesn't get much accomplished.
