Body: Samhain is slim and slightly on the petite side, he has a sort of feminine quality to him, with short torso but long arms and legs. His fur color is mostly black with various green markings (see ref for better idea) Eyes: glowy and Green with black sclera Hair: Hair color is Green, and about mid waist length which is pulled back into a low pony. Clothes: a formal like jacket and jeans with punk like elements, since fur and markings would be mostly covered by clothes, would love if the pattern was reflected on the clothes Wings: Black with green markings claws: white Tail: - green with dark green tip, white bandages and the green vine gothic like marking

Racial features: Samhain is mostly Grim, with the grim paws, tail, and feet with dark black fur accented with the green sections and vine like markings. However he has the Chimera wings and ears which are black and fade to Green at the tips. He also has geist blood, which only shows up in his eyes that are glowy and the sclera is black
Clothing Style: Samhain tries to dress with a sort of formal like appearance going for something that is almost suit like. However it never quite bleeds over to full formal as there are casual punk like elements to his wardrobe such as just a tad too many buckles or zippers. Since his fur and markings would be mostly covered by clothes, would love if his markings were reflected on the clothes as well in some way
Accessories: Accessories would include: a forest green torn/holey scarf, manacle around his neck with broken off chain, and bandages around his wrists, tip of tail and his waist. I would also love if he could have a version where he wore a slightly canine styled White bone mask and one where he wasn't wearing the mask. reference for accessories would be here
Positive traits Supportive Samhain is there as long as you need him; if you are his friend he is always there in your corner backing you up in any capacity that you need him in. He’s the type to stay up till late hours of the morning listening to your problems, cheering you on, and generally challenging you to be your very best. He is very slow to get friends despite the cheerful persona he gives to the world so he wants you to know how much it means to him, that and he does generally like helping people.
Eloquent- Samhain takes great care of what he says whether it’s through speaking to you or writing. He wants himself to be liked and to be seen as trustworthy and so he uses his speech as a way for him to come across as friendly and nonthreatening so you trust him faster. At times when he is in one of his darker moods, he uses that charisma in an almost manipulative way to make you do what he wants. However most of the time he wants to put you at ease so that he can get around to helping you faster. Luckily this is very useful in group projects as he has a tendency to try to go for the lead in a group and it helps him explain exactly what he wants without coming across as overly bossy.
Hard working- As mentioned above Samhain loves being supportive, reliable and he knows that it’s not easy to be thought of as such. It’s why when handed a project or after he’s made a promise he gets a bit absorbed in completing it. After all it needs to be done and on top of that needs to be done right. He’ll also go the extra mile to make sure that it gets done; of course this sometimes can backfire on his health.
Negative traits Reckless- While needing to be precise in other aspects of his life when it comes down to taking care of himself, he can be a bit reckless. This is not to the point of being suicidal however. It’s more of in his pursuit to put other people’s happiness, he often forgets or ignores his own: He’s known to forget to take care of himself to the point where he gets sick sometimes, and if he’s working on a project he’ll often forgetting to take breaks to eat. He’ll also throw away his health to make sure that another person is safe.
Insecure- Samhain admits that he suffers from insecurity. He’s not sure he can push back his less than positive side and worries one day it’ll just overwhelm him and all his work with be for nothing. He falls into doubt and wonders if everyone can see that darker side of him. He tends over compensate by being reckless with his own health and making sure people see him as reliable and always there for them. He’ll brush off concern about himself because he’s not sure others can accept all of him especially with a violent underside.
Cryptic Samhain is a very closed off person. Why he has no problems being there and listening and helping other people when it comes to revealing anything about himself he gives slippery short and very vague answers. He doesn’t want others to know he’s not as truthful as he seems and if people keep pushing, hedge the conversation over to different topics or he’ll disappear into his room or try to until he thinks enough time has passed that you’ll drop the conversation. He’ll also lie to throw off worry or suspicion at him.
General Personality Samhain is at first glance very sweet, trying to strive between a balance of responsibility and love. He always feels the need to help those who are less fortunate than him and can often be found helping out at animal shelters or book stores or anywhere he can. This leads into Samhain hard working nature and he'll often become dedicated to whatever he currently has planned, he hates to leave things finished and will often overwork himself.
While Samhain seems to at times have a bleeding heart in all actuality he is extremely slow to trust and there is a darkness lurking behind his eyes. In truth Samhain is as nice as he is because he’s pushing those elements of himself to the foreground because the other side of him scares him. There at times where he becomes cold and snappish and has slight sadistic tendencies where he’ll toy with people’s emotions that have wronged him. Samhain hates being dominated and always has to lead or direct in some way. He can also be very determined and at times a bit ambitious, and he is extremely book smart, often being caught studying or reading some new material.
Likes/Hobbies Baking- He doesn’t do it often, mostly because he doesn’t have time between running out to help volunteer or studying for school but Samhain loves cooking, especially deserts. You’ll often find him when he has enough down time in the kitchen trying some new dish. Of course he isn’t just restricted to trying out different deserts. While he has a huge sweet tooth Samhain loves pasta and practically anything with a potato somewhere in its ingredients.
Storms- The only time that Samhain doesn’t mind being alone is when there is a storm. It weirdly enough seems to calm him down and he’ll often perch on a window seat and just watch the rain and lighting for hours. Occasionally he’ll go outside, obviously in a covered area to feel the charge in the air.
Reading Samhain loves reading anything he can get his hands on and he tends to have a very good memory so must of what he reads sticks. Most of his free time is spent either Baking or reading and as such he’s picked up a lot of trivia. Of course it’s not all about the knowledge either since Samhain is quite happy to settle down and read a fantasy or other such fiction. He loves exploring new worlds, watching plots unfolded and never having to leave his bed to do.
dislikes Heat- Samhain hates heat with a burning passion. This has spread to sunlight a bit as well because after all sun normally means heat and heat means that his eyes end up hurting and he gets rather sick. It doesn’t help that heat means less clothes and being of a black color means he overheats very quickly. Pulling out of his room and out from the side of a fan is nearly impossible during the summer. If not watched Samhain quickly turns nocturnal to avoid even being conscious during the brightest/hottest hours.
Being Alone- Samhain is weird in that he hates to be alone, because when he’s by himself it’s harder to stay nice and he becomes prone to small fits of paranoia. Thus he’ll collect familiars, or plushies, or will willingly give up his space for roommates, anything that keeps people around him.
Bullies- There is one sure fire way to get Samhain to drop his kindness persona and switch over to his darker side. Samhain, while he was growing up ended up being bullied badly. Today the fastest way for him to personality swap on you however, is if you are overly arrogant and cruel. He likes nothing better but to knock those types of personalities down and it’s the only time that he’ll break his code of not hurting anyone.
Goals During school Samhain’s goals are quite simple; he basically wants to find a niche where he belongs. To find friends that don’t mind that he’s not always the perfect citizen and cant temper him if he gets to be a bit too violent on his bad days. However he does also have long term plans in the fact that he also wants to help others and make them feel better. This will eventually transfer over into the want/need to go into medicine of some form.
Darkest fears It takes a while to work down to Samhain’s fear, he likes believing that he’s extremely domesticated and kind. However if you do get close enough for him to trust you, you’ll find that Samhain’s darkest fear is that one day he’s just going to snap and go berserk on everyone and all that will be left is his darker personality. He takes great care in making sure that he has guards in place to make sure that it never happens, like never being alone if he can help it. He’ll use items like his scarf or plushies or his collar to remind him.
Being a Hybrid Samhain is about equal amount of Grimm and chimera with a bit of Geist thrown in. However he runs into a small problem. He’s not sure where he fits in having a connection to all three races. He doesn’t fit in with the chimera because he doesn’t have a sense of tradition. He has a sense of customs and what is perceived of him. In fact considering what he went through with Beltane he is wary and slightly hesitant when around other chimera. Eventually he'll understand that Beltane was a bit of a Rogue and that he doesn’t actually mind being around other chimera. When it comes to Grimm... Unfortunately the Grimm are surrounded by so much mystery that he doesn’t really understand if that’s the culture he fits in with, he does have the driving need to understand where his ancestors might have come from and he has the need to find groups of people that could be considered a pack. He tries to hide his blood ties with the geist because after all their love of mischief and their cunning draws him more than it should. However all his happy memories are with his adopted geist family and as such he gets along with them the best. Samhain will often wonder at times how the three races that make up him came together. Was one of his parents a hybrid as well? As for the other races since he doesn't really have any prejudice against them he finds learning about their customs and different behaviors quite fresh. He'll probably best get along with Fallen and Litches as he loves studying and any one that can hold their own with him in a conversation with facts is always fun to find. The fact that Fallen are civil and polite as well makes them easier for him to deal with and probably the race he would get on best with.
He’s a bit weary around imps as they tended to be part of the group that got testy when Beltane didn’t pay up his debts, and he’s always wondering if there is someone out there that will try to come to collect Beltane’s debts. He’s also met a couple of really friendly imps so it’s just seeing all who he meets on whether or not it influences his final decision on them, for now he tries to be friendly but he’ll be a bit skittish around them for a while yet.
He’s not terribly sure about Baphomet; he’s of course run into a few but unfortunately not enough to form an opinion. Their culture doesn’t seem too bad and he wouldn’t mind learning more about them if given the chance. Same goes with Demons. He hasn’t met too many of them yet so he’s not quite sure how he feels about them.
Life at school Samhain loves learning, especially on how things work whether this be cars, science, what makes races unique, how crystal tech work. In short Samhain loves learning any sort of knowledge anything he can get his hands on. The fact that there is a whole house with like-minded people excites him and he loves being a part of it.

Life so far Samhain’s parents, unbeknownst to him where in a bit of a Romeo and Juliet situation, where his mother was supposed to marry this well to do chimera and she ran away for a hybrid that wasn’t of her own race. Unfortunately it ended about as well as Romeo and Juliet where Samhain’s father was killed in the epidemic that managed to wipe out most of the Grimm and Samhain’s mother died of heartbreak shortly after. Before she died she hide Samhain’s soul stone in the hopes that one day someone loving and kind would find Samhain and raise him with all the love she couldn’t.
Unfortunately this wasn’t to pass. He was somehow against all possibility picked up by the worst possible person ever, the man who Samhain’s mother had jilted all those years ago to run away and elope. Beltane, the Chimera in question, had actually left his clan not being able to handle the humiliation and had picked up a habit of picking up women and gambling debts.
Unfortunately he was also harsh, strict and generally demonic towards the young hybrid and unfortunately encouraged this seed of darkness that he saw in Samhain. As soon as Samhain got to a certain age the older Chimera would often use Samhain as collateral in his gambling debts and the boy was often forced to pay off whatever amount Beltane had managed to accumulate. Luckily Samhain was quick witted and people often underestimated him due to his young age and size and picked up menial labor quickly and how to play a mean hand of cards and he was able to keep anything too untoward from happening to him.
When Samhain was about nine he finally had enough and managed to trick Beltane into a drunken stupor and knocked him over the head with a bottle, fleeing the area they were staying in as fast as he could. Unfortunately he wasn’t as prepared to run away as he should have been and he quickly ran out of food and money.
It wasn’t until one night that a nice geist couple had spotted him trying to steal bread that life began to look up. They took him in and the family raised him, teaching him what was right and wrong and the basic academic skills he should have learned for the next six years. Samhain wanted to be perfect for them and tried to block away all the dark thoughts and desires he had from his previous life. Eventually his family knew that Samhain needed a normal environment with kids his own age and everyone agreed to send him to Asphodel academy late junior year.
Currently they still keep in contact with letters and phone calls, and his family keeps trying to tell him that the occasional stealing, card playing, and mischief is okay and they won’t hate him for it but it’s a slow process. Samhain does make them super proud though.
Oh no! Your Nightmare has lost something that is very dear them! What have they lost, and how do they react?
Samhain’s room was a mess. Pillows, clothes, other various accessories where strewn across the room like Samhain had thrown them haphazardly, which was mostly true. Samhain was to put it mildly in a state of panic. He ran his hands through his hair pulling the hair in the process as he looked around the room. Where had it gone, he had placed his mask right there… right there before he had gone to take his bath. He needed his mask, he knew it was silly but using it helped him be all proper and smug and able to face the world and it was a gift from his adopted family. He needed to find it. Only he had looked everywhere and it was nowhere in sight. It didn’t help that he hadn’t been given a roommate yet so it wasn’t as if he could enlist any one to help him, if he even allowed someone to see him like this.
It was then that he heard a squeak and looked up over at the corner. There was a black and white Nezubat just sitting there and staring down at him and clutched in its little talons somehow was his mask. How did… when did… Samhain made a face as the two stared at each other. Well at least he hadn’t misplaced the mask. Without thinking he lunged at the bat wanting to get back his mask if only to calm himself down. Predictably there was a terrified squeak before the nezubat crawled up higher and out of Samhain’s reach. He slowly calmed down when he realized the poor thing was shaking and absolutely terrified. No matter how much he wanted that mask he couldn’t make a creature that was obvious trapped and scared even more terrified and he walked back to sit on his couch, never taking his eyes off the bat and his mask.
A good portion of the day then passed, Samhain eventually diverting his attention between starting at the nezubat and turning to work on his homework with the nezubat slowly recovering from the trauma Samhain had inflected on it. It wasn’t until one of the times Samhain was looking down at his homework instead of watching the bat that he was slowly drawn up at the sound of a thud against his window… Samhain looked up to realize the nezubat lie dazed on the ground and his mask was finally away from its clutches. With a shake of his head he carefully walked over in order not to spook the critter and grabbed his mask. “Want out huh… don’t blame you.” Seeing if the bat would wait patiently he managed to open up his window and pop out the screen a little bit. The bat seemed to see the exit and rushed out in almost a blur “what a nightmare… I need a nap.” It was then he noticed the state of his dorm room. “And to clean…”
Everything returned back to normal. Only… the next day, and the day after that, and the day after that when he woke up he was staring right into familiar colored eyes with familiar looking black and white fur. Samhain had no idea how it had managed to keep getting into his dorm room. “This… this is going to be a thing… isn’t it.” Well he supposed he wouldn’t mind company if the bat was here to stay… however there would be words if the Nezubat stole his mask again. The Nezubat seemed to sense his approval and squeaked before finding somewhere in the room to nest.
