So Yue admitted this wasn’t her best idea, however the shop was only open at a certain times during the day and it was the only time she could get away from classes or hanging out with Tobias. One thing was glaring obviously from this trip however, and that was that Yue definitely needed to invest in different clothing. Lately it had been stifling hot and even worse it was the muggy kind that just kind of stuck to your skin. She hated going outside for any reason in this type of weather, but she had run out of food and having seven familiars meant you had to take care of them especially when you weren’t letting them go outside in the heat.

It didn’t help that part of the street had melted early due to said heat and she had been forced to take a detour to try to get back to school on time. Of course she realized quite quickly she had never seen this section of the academy before. Still it wasn’t time to investigate since she seriously was going to pass out. She had mentioned that she needed less dense clothing right. It didn’t help that she was fading in and out of existence either.

However before she decided to commandeer a building and just wait it out until nightfall she heard something kind of disturbing… it couldn’t be what she thought it was. No one would be stupid enough to hurt someone in broad daylight in this heat right? No... Nightmares could definitely be cruel and they didn’t care about the weather. With a sigh she readied her bag of food as a weapon, and got ready to confront whatever was going on.

Yue walked in on the scene and sure enough what she thought she heard was actually happening. She listened to the scene for all of about a minute before taking her bag and swinging it into the lead bullies head. “If I recall bullying is against the rules at the academy. Why don’t you do the smart thing and run off before I call someone and get you in a world of hurt” Her tendrils flared threateningly and she glowed slightly. She was not going to put up with this. Luckily when she pulled out her phone and started punching in numbers the bullies decided to flee.

“Good riddance, I hate people like that. Still glad the whole call the authority thing works. However that’s not the important issue, are you okay?” Yue asked closing her phone and walking over to picking up the books that were scattered around the place. “It looks like the books are still mostly intact. I think I have all of them.”

Yue frowned but she didn’t want to be too pushy especially since those that were bullied often weren’t only bullied once. She would just stay a bit longer to make sure that he was actually okay. She was glad that she had gotten here in time though. While Bullying was against the rules at the academy Yue often noticed that it didn’t always stop other students from being mean.

“Oh you’re welcome. It was no problem. I wasn’t lying when I said I really hate guys like those” Yue replied. She looked around to make sure that she had gotten all the books when sudden she was hugged. She was a bit startled but she was quite used to rather huggy people so it didn’t bother her too much and maybe he really needed to give that hug? Her heart went out to him though when it confirmed her thoughts that this happened a lot. Why didn’t more people try to stand up. “Oh no, no no… you don’t give me anything. I was really truly glad to help. I got bullied a lot when I first came here so if I can stop someone from having to suffer through jerks like that I’m happy to help.”

“Nope I’m pretty well off myself, I have an awesome part time job working with nezubats and a good deed should be standard practice” Yue replied. “Ah well when I was younger people didn’t really get geists all that well, they still don’t so whenever anything went missing I normally ended up getting blamed. It didn’t help that I was really shy. Eventually one of my friends had enough and stepped in to stop it. I learned that they picked on me because they thought they could get away with it. It was a long process but I had good support”

“It’s okay really. I get randomly hugged all the time. My younger siblings are very touchy feely and their friends can be touchy feely, and I don’t see why if a stranger needs a hug I can’t give them one. It’s helping others out” Yue replied. She could tell he was getting nervous. She had seen the signs in Tobias and Tayce enough times. It was sad that he thought he had to run away but she wasn’t going to trap him here if he did need to escape.

“Oh I agree. Everyone is just soo much more than their race. If you fall back to judging a person by their race then people will never get over their prejudices and you can miss meeting some really cool people that way” Yue replied. “and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being on the quiet side and preferring to be alone. While I always enjoy hanging out around other people it is a lot of work I will admit” However the more she talked with Quentin the more worried she became. He seemed to have a serious lack of self-confidence. He seemed like a really nice person too, which made it more of a shame. “As for being a good sibling, well you don’t know until you try. One of my friends doesn’t speak if he doesn’t have to and he barely leaves his room. However he does make time for his little sibling and Kappa adores him. It just really depends on the freshling they pair you with. Some of them they just need an older friend, someone there that can lend an ear. However for other people the big sibling program just isn’t right for them. Oh dear here I go off again preaching about it. Sorry about that.”

“It’s really no problem. I’m just glad I was around to help” Yue replied, although it admittedly didn’t always go as well. Luckily she was quite good at teleporting herself by now. With a bright smile she brought herself out of her thoughts again and took Quentin’s offered hand shaking it. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Quentin. I’m Yue. I’m a senior working on getting an Anthology degree. With the side job of raising Nezubats"
