It was not often Navi found herself on patrol alone. She was usually shadowed by a certain senshi of danger, or an adorable guardian cat. Or, on some occasions, said senshi's father or step mother. The entire fimaily had taken it upon themselves to see to the newly purified Navi's safety, and for that she was eternally grateful. But there were times, though few and far between, when other matters kept her new family busy. In these times the girl could stay in, cuddle up with a good book and fall asleep to the comforting sound of Haddy's purring. Or, as she'd chosen tonight, she could venture out on her own and see what the evening brought her.

It was not an option she chose lightly. With Painite still at large and hunting her, Navi never strayed far from those places that had become safe havens for her. The Library, the community center, or the park down the street from the Darrow's family home.

It was the latter she'd come to tonight. The air was sweet and filled with the sound of city and life. Traffic and cricket songs playing together in harmony, and all of it under the bright, glowing light of a full moon. It was a gorgeous night, and it would have been a shame to stay in doors. For a night, an hour, she would surround herself with that beauty.

All it took was slipping out Nathan's bedroom window and hopping down into the backyard. From there she had walked across the street and down the block, powering up in the shadow of a pruned hedge.

For a while, Amytis had avoided every other aura while she was powered up, but that wasn't the case anymore. An Order Eternal aura felt like an invitation, rather than something to fear, and so she slipped into the park, cautiously but curiously.

The Eternal she saw was not Chariklo, but that was alright, because Order was sometimes easy to get along with, and she did always like to talk to people. Sort of. Lately, at least.

"Um, hello," she greeted, a little shy. She wasn't afraid, per se, but she was definitely a little nervous about meeting new people.

The presence of another aura caused the eternal to pause, head turning in the direction it was coming from as a certain, ever present anxiety curled up from within. It had been that way for ages now, since before her purification. Navi had spent the better half of the last year hiding from damn near everyone else in the city. She'd forgotten her strength.

It was a chaotic aura, but more than that, it held a certain familiar taste that Navi was all too accustomed to. It made the inclination to run all the more tempted. Months later, and she still wasn't ready to face her former court, afraid of the fallout, emotional of physical.

Whatever she'd meant to do, she missed her chance at it. The other senshi had reached her, offering up a greeting, and Navi had no choice now but to smile in return. "Hello."

She wasn't someone Navi remembered ever meeting, and since none of her other memories seemed to have been messed with, she was inclined to believe it to be true. It helped to calm a little of that rising anxiety. Better yet, the pink haired girl seemed utterly none-threatening.

Amytis took a breath. "I don't think we've met before," she said, and she soldiered forward despite her anxiety. "I'm, um, I'm Amytis." She extended a friendly hand. This Senshi was totally unfamiliar to her, and she was admittedly a little curious. The other girl seemed oddly skittish, which was odd, since they were a rank apart.

But it was helping calm her anxiety, a little, that they'd exchanged greetings without an attack. And Order had never really...hurt her. She'd fought with that Squire during the White Phoenix ambush, but that was...different? And it hadn't happened again, ever.

It was the Negaverse that Amytis was afraid of.

Someone Navi hadn't met as as a Dark Mirror. With the knowledge came a measure of relief, and as she took the hand offered out to her her smile was much less strained. More generous. "It is very good to meet you, Amytis." This girl as a super, it spoke of time in the court, and made Navi aware of just how long she had s**t herself away from them. Hard not to feel guilty, but she tried not to dwell.

"I'm Navi, senshi of tumbleweed." Here was the real test. Certainly her absence had been noted by now. How angry were the royals, how much had she been talked about? Was there now a target on her back from them as well?

She certainly hoped not, but Leto's temper could be a feirce thing, and shed wronged the other girl. There was no denying that.

Amytis was glad at the handshake, because it meant that she really was probably safe here.

And then she heard the Senshi's name, and she couldn't stop the tiny gasp that escaped her. "You're - you're the one that purified!" This was an unexpected lucky blessing - she had been seeking any kind of information at all, and here was someone who had successfully left the Court. "How did you do it? I've been trying, for months, ever since Chariklo..." She stopped, and choked for a minute.

"I want to purify. Please. Help me?"

That gasp had the eternal backing up a step on pure instinct, her stomach flipping anxiously at the thought of being recognized, but Amytis offered nothing by way of hostility to her. On the contrary, the Dark mirror showed only excitement, bordering on desperation. It wasn't what Navi had been expecting, but if this girl needed answers, then she would be happy to give them. She had stood where she stood before. She had felt that hopeless desire burning inside her for months on end. She knew what it felt like to want to be with someone so badly it ached, and having no way to do it.

Reclaiming the step she had taken back, Navi reached out to to catch the other girl's shoulders as she choked, holding her steady. "I am." So the court did know. She wondered if that complicated things, or simplified them. It didn't matter though, not right this minute.

"It wasn't easy, not at all, but it can be done. If you want to know, I'll tell you. I'll help you." Maybe Navi had had to find the answer on her own, but Amytus wouldn't, not if the ginger had anything to say about it.

Amytis stared up at Navi - not too much taller than her, but just enough - with a sad sort of pleading. "Really?" She asked, and then she threw herself forward to hug the Eternal. "Thank you so much," she sniffled.

"I don't care how hard it is," and she didn't, she would do whatever it took. "I already know a Princess - Polaris, she tried to purify me before and it didn't work - so if, um, if I need one of those, I know one." what else could there be? There had to be another secret, some special thing that would unlock whatever Chaos clung to her soul and kept her in the Dark Mirror.

Even if she felt horribly guilty for wanting to leave.

She probably should have expected the hug, but it was abrupt it almost spilled the both of them to the roof top. Navi had to struggle to keep them up right, arms around the slightly smaller girl's waist as she fought for balance, but she was laughing even as she did so. Happy to be needed. Happy she could do something to help.

"I think a princess would work, though For me it was a royal knight." Catching Amytis' arms, Navi brought the girl back from her so she could see her face again. "But it takes more than just the help of an white moon royal. Their magic can't reach our star seeds, they're protected." Or guarded, however one wanted to look at it.

With a small frown the eternal drew back to look around them. "We should go somewhere else." The rooftop they were standing on was terribly exposed, and Navi didn't like being out in the open. Not since Painite had snatched her right out of Chaonis' arms. "Come on." Taking the super's hand, Navi lead her to the edge of the building where she saw the arched ladder of the fire escape.

Amytis nodded. A Royal Knight -- she had never met one, but she remembered the man standing tall, a Knight but so much more powerful, at Vespa's purification. That must be what Navi was talking about. Maybe it was even the same person.

"I felt...when Polaris tried, it was like...a tug? It didn't feel like she said a purification should," obviously, because it hadn't worked. "Is that why?" But she followed Navi towards the edge of the roof, glancing at the fire escape. It was true, they were terribly exposed here, too exposed.

"Where should we go?" She asked, but she would follow wherever Navi lead, even without an explanation. She was just that desperate.

Having never found a princess in which to attempt a purification previous to her own successful one, Navi was going to have to take Amytis' word for what it had felt like. Clearly it hadn't worked, but then the eternal had not truly though it would, when she had been searching for answers herself. They weren't like normal corrupted senshi. The usual method of bringing them over to the side of order couldn't be normal either.

Details that no longer matters, in all honestly. Navi knew the secret now,and she could share it with anyone else in the court that wanted a way out, regardless of reason.

Hand tight on Amy's, she led the other girl down the fire escape and towards a side street. "Somewhere more secluded." She knew this part of town well. There was a subdivision going in a few blocks from where they were now, and they could talk in the half finish shell of one of the new houses.

Amytis nodded, and she let Navi lead her wherever they were going. She couldn't believe this was really happening - she would finally have the answer she had been seeking for so long, she would finally be able to find Chari and Ida and all of her other friends and...

And, she thought guiltily, she would leave behind Quinn and Alistair and Lance and her mother and Shira. She swallowed. No, she had to do this, had to go through with it and find her answers.

Because she wanted to be free.

The eternal ushered the other girl ahead of her as they reached the house, holding aside a piece of thick plastic sheeting so they could disappear inside. "This should work. I don't think there's anyone patrolling this area yet, it's too new." It would probably fall to Chaonis and herself, or either of his knight parents, since it was so close to home.

Either way, it gave them a bit of privacy, and a bit of protection.

"The best way to explain this will probably just be to tell you how I managed it." Navi didn't know why it worked, only that it had. "I had looked all over for answers, but with no luck. Eventually, desperate, I went looking in the one place I had been avoiding for months." Fingers curling around Amy's arm, she drew the girl further into the house until they found a stack of 2x4s they could sit on.

"I don't know if you've ever noticed, but mirror space provides." She paused, sinking down to take a seat and drawing Amy with her. "It shows you what you want, it takes you where you want."

Amytis ducked into the house after Navi, nodding. "Which means no one living here, nobody to drain - no Negaverse." Which was the most reassuring thought she'd had all day. They weren't going to be ambushed, not here.

She listened to the beginnings of Navi's explanation, letting her draw her further in and taking a seat once they were available. She was fascinated by the explanation so far, and she nodded along, resting elbows on her things and chin in her hands.

"I haven't bene in there much," she admitted, "just...as a waystation. One of my friends, Sailor Tantalus? He's in there all the time, though." Sometimes it was a little scary.

"I hadn't either, not until then. It had been shell of it's former glory. A means of transportation, but Leto and Remarque," she curled her hands gently around Amytis' wrists. "They found something. They went looking, and they found power to help rule the court." It was still baffling, even to her, and she'd found her own aid within the mirror. "You're friend might have noticed it as well, you could ask him." Any additional resource would help, she imagined.

"I don't know why I looked as long as I did. Hours. Chaonis said I was missing almost two days, but something kept driving me forward. A compulsion, or a need. Something I couldn't ignore, so I kept going, deeper and deeper into mirror space." Here she paused, smiling as she lifted one hand to tuck a curl behind the other girl's ear. "It can be frightening in there. Quiet and ever changing. It's so easy to get lost, to lose hope, but you can't."

Those delicate fingers traced the counter of one soft cheek, down to the other girl's chin. "If it's what you want. What you really want, you have to keep going. It will show you the way, and you will know when you've found it." Navi didn't want to be too specific, just in case it was different for all of them. She didn't want to give Amytis too detailed a picture that could potentially blind her from other possibilities.
