Olga was surrounded by piles of books. Not just any books though-- Romance novels. Of the cheesy variety. She had a s**t-eating grin as she poured over the one in her hands, skimming for the good parts. When she wasn't tumbling or shipping or writing, she did need to do her research (or be amused, or both--the jury was still out). Tucked away in the romance section of the book store, Olga was hunched over, rocking back and forth on her heels, not being so subtle as she cackled at parts and flipped through the novel. At one point she had gotten so absorbed, she wasn't paying attention to her rocking and ended up bumping one of her piles of books, sending all the bad romance novels scattering into the aisle. "Oh shi--" Though she had a dilemma. She didn't want to stop reading because the writing of this novel was nothing short of magical, but cleaning up too-- So thus she was quite a sight. Reading the book still while blindly groping for the fallen books.

He was out and about running errands, Fritz trying to keep himself consistently busy enough that he wouldn't be thinking too hard about the fact that Tolliver was still angry with him. He'd all but drowned himself in his art, taking his frustrations out on the canvases in his studio, until all he'd wanted was to simply get out of the loft.
So now he was running errands, still covered in paint spatters across his shirt and over his fingers and hands, because cleaning them all off would have taken too much effort. They had all dried, of course, which made his skin itchy, but Fritz's attention was directed elsewhere.
He had passed a bookstore on his way to the grocers, and now he'd doubled back to take a look, Fritz wandering the aisles without real intent, simply taking everything in. But a little thud and a crash alerted him, and he peered curiously around the other side of a row of books, catching sight of a young woman and a pile of novels that looked as though clearly they'd been stacked nicely at one point and now were...not. The young woman in question had her nose in the pages of a book Fritz was, unsurprisingly, familiar with.
He padded over, head tilted, and knelt to help clean up the mess.
"If you like that one, there's a sequel," said Fritz with a grin.

" WHAT!?" That got her attention. Olga tore her gaze away from the pages, whipping her head around to the voice that spoke to her. Her mouth was open in shock and her black eyes were practically sparkling at the thought of more trashy goodness, before she had a very important question to ask: " But is it as good as the first?"

He hadn't expected quite such an intense reaction, but Fritz was hardly startled by it, leaning back and grinning as he watched her.
"It's not quite as good as the first, but it's still full of juicy pairings and delightful characters," he said. "There's another one two, not a sequel, but a side book with some of the background characters by the same author, you'd probably like that one."

Olga gave a loud thoughtful hum, eyeing the book in her hand speculatively. She then made some mental notes to look into these books later, but what was rapidly grabbing her attention wasn't the books anymore, but the knowledge of the young man near her. She had to test it. She snapped the book shut and quickly spun, sitting on her knees and almost brushing Fritz's as she stared at him intently. "What'd you think of The Wench and the Tears?" She then stared at him hard, and waited. No one was a true connoisseur of romance novels unless they read that one. There was something to be said for the bar maid that cried, and that the tears caused every man to see them want her passionately. The book had a lot of smut, a lot of murder, a lot of kingdom toppling for this woman who cried before finally finding love in the arms...er...arm of one armed Migel who loved her not for her tears, but for her beautiful soul. Because he was immune to tears. Because he had one arm, and thus did not fall victim to feeling sorry for someone who still had both her arms.

He leaned back a little, just on instinct, but he wasn't entirely uncomfortable, just slightly taken aback by the intensity in which this girl stared at him. Fritz rested his arm on the bookshelf beside him and grinned, resting his head against the palm of his hand.
"I totally loved Miguel," he said. "His love for her was totally the best part of that whole thing, especially with the whole one arm thing."

"Awesome!" Olga gave him a fox eyed grin, and then reached into her bag nearby to pull out her Polaroid camera. She snapped a photo of Fritz, with his arm propped on the bookshelf supporting his head, and then put the camera away, only after plucking the developing picture from it. Immensely satisfied, she waved it around, and then scooted on her knees to resume picking up the rest of the books that fell. "So are you an avid reader or what?" She asked cheerfully.

The picture took him by surprise, Fritz blinking back stars away from his vision. His gaze followed hers curiously trying to figure out just what the purpose of it was, head tilted to the side so that his red hair fell down over his shoulders.
"What was that for?" he asked, not brusquely, but curiously, a smile on his face. "And yes, I am a very avid reader, I do a lot of reading of these types of books for my research!"

"Mementooooo~" Olga hummed innocently, and then coughed. "Andresearch." She finished stacking the books back into neat piles around her, still idly waving the photo as she turned back to Frtiz. Her brows shot up in interest. " What kind of research?" She wasn't jumping the gun, was she? Was she safe to assume that maybe, just maybe, based on his interest in romance books--- Fffffffffffffff--

"A memento for what?" Fritz asked curiously. "And research for what?"
He was beaming at her, eyes bright, Fritz looking as innocent as possible.
"Oh, I write romance novels sometimes," he answered cheerfully. "And fanfiction, and I draw an online webcomic, so these books are great for figuring out all of the dirty love scenes."

"A memento for this meeting and..." She trailed off for a moment, maybe a bit reluctant to admit what else she'd do with the picture...like try and divine his soul mate from her pool of other photos once she had tons more. " Relationship research." She gave a firm nod of her head, but once Frtiz answered her question, Olga's mouth dropped open as she stared at him with wide eyes. It was like this for a moment, and then made more odd as she raised a hand and mimicking petting him, without really touching him. You know that visual trick where someone was some distance from you, and you could pretend to be pinching their heads or whatever...well...she was just air petting him. So amazing. This guy before her was so amazing. Was this real life. "You're my platonic work soul mate." Olga announced, stopping her air pets to instead grin brightly. "I write too! All the romance! I'm mostly doing short stories right now, but I do have a big novel idea on the back burner!" Her black eyes were sparkling. "I also write fan fiction, and while I don't have an online webcomic, I do love reading them! I'm also going to DCU for writing--" Olga then thrust her hand out at him. "I'm Olga!" Kinda important to introduce yourself to someone you declared to be your platonic work soul mate.

He didn't know what she meant by relationship search. Did she mean him? Did she mean for him? Was she some sort of matchmaker on one of those sites that tried to pair up people based on their shared compatibilities? So many questions and so little answers were happening. Well, she'd taken his picture and all too, that could have meant several different things.
"Well," said Fritz, giving a little cough. "I mean, I must say, I'm flattered, but - "
The platonic work soul mate comment caught him off guard. Fritz's eyes widened a little, but then they relaxed the longer she spoke, until an expression of amusement had flickered across his face. His eyebrows rose, Fritz trying not to look as though he was laughing at her, because he wasn't, but she was just so very blunt that it was rather entertaining.
He accepted the offered hand and gave it a firm shake.
"I'm Fritz," he said lightly, a smile on his face. "What sort of novel are you interested in writing, if you don't mind me asking?"

Olga didn't acknowledge his obvious flustered reply. Nope! She was on a roll, and far to excited! "It's a real pleasure to meet you, Fritz! Cool name!" She returned the shake with her own firm enthusiasm, and grinned widely. "Romance!" She replied, and then leaned in closer to him. " Have you ever heard of the plan?" She asked in a slight conspiratorial tone. "You bust out a script for a finished young adult romance story---and then you sell the movie rights like--" Olga snapped her fingers. "That! Then you make bank! It's a formula!" Her grin widened. "I think that'd be awesome to accomplish! You make a lot of money, and then you can live off it and dedicate all your free time to writing! That's what I'd like to happen!" kuropeco I finally tagged after so long I'M TRASH /sobs pssssssssssssst go tag our other 2 /slapped

"Thank you," he replied breezily, and then laughed. "Romance is an excellent genre to write, although no, I haven't ever heard of the plan. I do now, though, so I can get right started on that."
A grin was wide on his face. Fritz couldn't help but like this girl's attitude.
"Is that your life's plan, then?"

"Right! Romance is the best." Olga pumped her fist, and then grinned. "If you make it before I do, give me a shout out, yeah?" She laughed, and then nodded. "Well, that's the start! Make all the money, and then spend all the rest of the time writing the ultimate story! Oh---also travel. I'd like to do a lot of traveling." She nodded a bit. "Say--what's your webcomic called?" Olga asked, pulling out her phone so that she could look it up. "Imma start following it!"
