After several face scrubbing to remove the scent of ham from her face and hair, Plaid returned to the battle arena. Her eyes narrowed in thought as she faced off against what she first assumed was a yellow ferret of some sort. She thoughtfully chewed on her bubble gum and blew a small pink bubble. Thank Caius this one looked like a honest warrior and not some refugee from a Bermuda Triangle cruise ship.
With the sounding of the match's beginning, Plaid hefted her greatsword to one shoulder and ran across the arena floor towards her opponent. He looked fit and fast, which meant she'd have to be faster and more cunning then with the ham hock head she'd fought previously. As Plaid closed the distance, she swept her sword off her shoulder, the tip gouged into the sandy floor as she swung the blade in a upwards cut at the furry foe.

Max was glad it wasn't another snake he had to put down this time, he rather hoped that Cobra had learned his lesson as he watched the tall girl with the sword that seemed taller than her as he readied his kukris. He moved in as she rushed too, and perhaps a little off from assuming she was slower than the cobra, misjudged her swing and took a deep score up the front of his furry body, nearly getting is pants sliced off in the process. Wouldn't THAT have been embarassing... as it was he spun, blood staining his yellow fur and almost matching his maroon paint markings as he tried to drive both kukris into her back.

As Plaid never went anywhere, at any time, in any situation without her blade, she was as accustomed to it's weight as she was with her own two hands. She even slept with her sword. Showered with her sword. And did other things that didn't need to be mentioned with her sword. The point was, the blades heaviness meant nothing to her. When the ferret...thing.. was struck, Plaid didn't slow down or pause. Max came around at her towards her back. Plaid expertly shifted her grip to one hand, swung the blade over her head while bending forwards, and attempted to smack the rodent away from her without even looking at where he was. She felt something scrape along her armor and smirked. Plaid smacked her bubblegum with smugness over having started the battle out so well.

Max was smacked in the back of his head, harder than he would have thought possible by her, and stumbled forward. What the hell? She was just as quick as that cobra, it felt like, and he growled to himself. He finally caught his balance, turned and flung a small hidden dagger at her in more of a distracting move, before moving in with his kukri blades again and attempting to stab her with them.

Plaid spun on the ball of her foot to face her opponent. He lacked any sort of skill that she had expected to come across in this den of gladiators. It was a disappointment to say the least. However, he was levels above that wobbly excuse of a fighter she had faced in her first battle. Plaid shuddered inwardly. Never would she be able to eat ham again. She didn't even think she'd be able to manage a hamburger! As her opponent flung a obvious dagger in her direction, Plaid lazily raised her sword. She heard the small ting of metal on metal as she successfully blocked what she assumed was a amateur attack on the 'ferrets' part. Her assumption cost her though when Max slid in under her guard and managed to break his blade through the protection of her armor. With a hiss of pain she jerked away from him. It seemed he did have some tricks after all, which meant she wouldn't feel any guilt over pulling out some of her own tricks. Plaid pressed her thumb to what seemed to be a decorative orb on her greatsword. There came a coin like c***k from inside the blade..and a fiery red bubblegum ball popped out into the air. Plaid lunged towards Max. She swung her sword towards his middle while expertly snapping the bubblegum ball out of air with her teeth. She gnashed down on the brilliant red ball of gum, a wicked grin painted on her lips as she chewed rapidly.

Max noticed her assumption that the dagger was his real attack, and her laziness cost her. He spun as she lunged and... ate a gumball? There was a look of confusion as he avoided her sword and simply attempted to pop her under the chin with the hilt of one of his blades.

Plaid needed her opponent to be close. The sweep of her blade was only meant to give her the time she needed to nab the gumball and chew it into the current pink gum she had in her mouth. So yes. She wasn't upset the mongoose, (Yes she finally recalled what rodent thing he really was) had gotten away with only a scratch from her sword. She still grinned. Even when he closed in to pop her a nice one on the chin. She didn't try too hard to avoid that blow, because she countered while the mongoose was still close enough to spit in his eye. Plaid puckered her lips and blew a bubble with her now red bubblegum. Two. Three puffs and the bubble was nearly as big as her face. With one more powerful blow of her lungs the bubblegum burst..and released a fireball right at Max close range.

As far as Max was concerned, it was a safety hazard for the girl to be chewing gum in the middle of a fight, and he wondered why she did that. After he punched her she started blowing a huge bubble, and the only thing that saved him from getting burned badly by the fireball was the fact he was already juking to the side after his punch, like a boxer would. He still caught flames on the side of his face, catching part of his fur on fire, and it startled the hell out of him. He made another quick jab with both kukris at her side, before immediately attempting to move out of range again to pat the fur on the side of his face with a curse.

Damn! Max had moved too quickly out of the way. Now he'd be more careful of her gumball gambits! Plaid stepped back, her tongue expertly twisting the popped gum back into her mouth before it had a chance to stick to her face or blond hair. She grasped her sword in both hands and brought it up at an angle to parry the mongooses next attack. As she did so, she simultaneously spat the gob of red gum onto the arena floor and pressed the button on her sword. The sand sizzled and smoked where the gum landed. The coin c***k sound came again and a blue ball of gum popped out. Once again Plaid snapped it out mid air, while sweeping her sword towards Max in a swift slash.

Max couldn't believe she had time to parry his strikes! He watched her spit the gum into the sand and he instinctively moved away from it in case it decided to explode, and as she ate a blue gumball this time, he had to twist from the sword, getting a light slash as he did so. This time he aimed the blade of a kukri at her jaw viciously, wanting the gum antics to stop.

Something had the mongooses fur all ruffled. He came at her more quickly then he had previously, and with a impressive slash he managed to score up her chin and cheek in a bone deep cut. Plaid's eyes narrowed in concentration as she jerked her head back too late, then withdrew a step. She shifted her sword to one hand, lifted her fingers to her lips, and pressed her index finger and middle finger to them. Looking for a moment like she was about to blow Max a kiss, she instead just blew. With a sharp thunder-snap crack, blue electricity danced over her hand, up her arm, over her shoulders, and sparked brilliantly along the length of her blade. Plaid lunged forwards, her hand snapping to the hilt of her blade as she swept her blade over her head in a electrically charged downwards stroke.

Max smirked as he scored a good hit on her. He hoped it would dampen her ability to chew gum, though he doubted it. He knew she was up to something with the second gumball, and while he assumed water at first, he was quickly proven wrong. He saw the electric charge and his eyes widened. As she came at him he dove to the side, catching part of the shock to his side. He gritted his teeth at the feeling of it and immediately attempted to kick dust up at the blade to ground the charge, before throwing another dagger at her face.

The cut to her face made it hard to chew her gum, though Plaid stubbornly continued to gnash away at it, thus continuing the feed of electricity to her blade. Max seemed to avoid her strike, and his return throw came right at her face. Plaid jerked her blade up to deflect the thrown weapon, however when metal met metal there was a electrical burst, the blade did not deflect the way it normally would had it just struck a normal sword. The dagger flipped and slammed into Plaids shoulder. She gritted her teeth in pain, but continued to chew her gum. Without taking the time to remove the kukri from her body, she launched herself into a series of three quick electrified swings at Max in an furious attempt to overwhelm the furry guy before she passed out from blood freaking loss.

Well.............that wasn't what he was trying for, but he would take it. The mongoose took out another kukri, though after seeing what that thing did to the last one with the electrical charge he suddenly paused and had a moment of indecision. It cost him, and though he tried to move out of the way, Plaid's sword caught him good, wracking the poor mongoose's body with electricity. His fur started smoking and he practically vibrated in place before falling to the ground, and barely had the wherewithal to fling one at her with what little energy he had left.

Plaid was notably more careful when Max flung his weapon at her. Sure, she'd just knocked his furry butt for a loop. But he still had some stamina to him if he was still aware enough to toss his weapon at her. Plaid jerked herself to the side to try and dodge the kukri...not so successfully as it ripped through the already weakened armor of her top. She hissed between chews with pain and turned to face Max. With a slow deliberateness she walked over, and simply attempted to tap Max with the tip of her electrified blade.
