 Valadar followed the rookie, his arms resting behind his head and his whip resting around his neck. The dark elf did make a good point with the place being overrun, but that just meant more fun for him. As long as the others didn't get in his way, no one would get hurt. He was rather curious on what he desperately needed. It better be worth the possibility of death. "Whatever you say." He sighed, continuing to follow the rookie. What awaited at the police department was beyond Valadar, but figured it was important. If not.. Well, we'll see how that turns out.. Probably wouldn't end so well for the rookie. "I swear human, I'll punish you if we're risking our lives for something idioitc.." A slight hostile tone in his voice as he spoke.

Upon arriving at station, Clyde looked in horror. He was definitely going to have go through a gauntlet to get to his locker. The whole department was on lock down. The front entrance barred off and zombies clawing at the front door. The rookie officer was determined to get in though. He looked towards the roof of the building. There had to be a door up there. "Let's go around and avoid the creeps up front. Let's go in from the top. Val, we're gonna need your help on this. There should be a fire escape, but it'll be too high up. Your whip can latch onto it and bring it down for us to climb up. Got it?" The officer felt something rolled his spine. It made him uncomfortable. The nerve of having to sneak around everywhere just to serve. It was really getting to him. Clyde shook the feeling off. He had to get inside. Someone he cared deeply about was on the line. It was imperative that Clyde get what he needed. "Let's go." The rookie took the first step forward, trying not to attract any attention from the zombies wandering and clawing at the front door.

It wasn't that much of a journey. It felt more like get from point A to point B. Oh well, its not like they were trying to get something during the journey. Its literally a search, raid and rescue mission at the police department...how ironic that they have to perform this kind of mission at a place that's normally suppose to be a safeguard on evidence and criminals. The officer's plan is to gain access to his own police department was through the fire escape so they can find a door on the rooftop. Well, its definitely better than trying to go through the front door where all the zombies are trying to claw there way through barricades. With Valadar's whip, it should be easy to accomplish the task of lowering down the fire escape for them to use. Now that they're here, she figured she ask the officer why they're here. "What supplies are so important that we came here officer? As a matter of fact...who are we rescuing? You couldn't be coming all this way here just for extra ammunition or firepower."

 Figures as much, once they arrived the place was swarmed with these undead creatures. Once Clyde had discovered the fire escape and explained to Valadar what he had to do, a little smirk grew upon his lips. "Aren't you glad the Master tagged along ?" He took his whip off of his neck and tightly gripped it in his right hand. He grabbed onto it and brought it down nicely, landing with a thud. "We can discuss things once we get inside," He said, looking towards Luthien, "But she's got a point. What's so important ?" He asked, now looking back over at the rookie. It would only be a matter of time before those creatures would come running back here. "Come on, let's get in. Who knows if any got in, I could handle ones out here since you'll need a clear exit as well." He suggested, it would give him something to do and who didn't enjoy killing zombies ? Erm, killing in general for Mr. Incubus over here. He could think of it as a game if Clyde agreed to leave him out here.

The trio were able to slip past the gang of zombies at the front door. The whole ordeal was made the rookie readjust the grip on his shotgun from his sweat. He could feel it all over his body. It felt like his clothes were sticking to him. They probably were. Clyde could feel a giant wet spot on his back.
Once the group had made it around, it was time for the demon to shine and pull down the fire escape ladder. With the ladder down, they could proceed, but not before hounding Clyde with questions about his goal in the whole matter. The cop only stopped for moment, mulling over what to tell them. Instead, he simply ignored them and went up the ladder. "Val, get rid of the zed heads around front When you're done, meet back up with us. Come on, Luth." The officer continued to climb. His face was starting to show his distress as he meditated a response to his companions questions. Should he really tell them they were just on a hunt to get his apartment keys to rescue his dog? If he did tell them, Clyde could only imagine they're reaction, especially Valadar's.

Why be so secretive as to why they are coming here? What does the officer has to hide from the two of them? Luthien will be finding out soon what he has to get here anyways regardless of whether he answers her question or not. The officer was first to climb up the ladder followed by her. Now the two of them were on the rooftop about to enter the building via the roof access door. "If you don't want to answer our questions, that's fine but don't ignore us when we asked you these things. There aren't many of us who are willing to help someone break into the police department for something that they don't know what they're getting...just understand this."

♚ ♛ Lexia had been inside the building when the first zombie stumbled through the doors of the precinct. The entire room jumped into action, shooting the creature once it became clear that it was hostile and very much undead. She had watched as more followed in after, and chaos seeped across the floor, up into the other levels as the entire city screamed. Lexia had no clue how anything had been decided, but nearly the entire force had gone outside to figure out what was going on as they ushered people back inside of their homes. Those who were still in the academy, however, had been told to stay behind and block every door and every window on the ground floor. As angered as Lexia was to be put on babysitting duty, she knew how to follow an order, and so she spent hours securing the premises, organizing the rest as they kept the zombies at bay.
However, nobody had returned yet. It was clear that more help was needed, but Lexia wasn't going to send out the men and women who didn't even qualify as rookies yet. But she wasn't going to sit still, not yet. Lexia climbed the stairs, pausing on each floor to make sure every group was getting something done. Reinforcement, cleanup, and defense were her top priorities. She kept climbing, stationing a recruit beside every window on the top floor. Some were regular humans with amazing aim, while others had magical abilities that allowed them to attack zombies from so high up. It was a tense day, but Lexia kept climbing until she reached the roof, where she gulped the outside air.{ooc: n/a}

(( Yis. Fear the reaction. ))Clearing them would be no problem for Mr. Sadistic Incubus here, he'd get too much fun out of it. "Alright, just get in get out, I don't have all day." He said as they climbed up to get inside. This would be no problem for him. He began clearing them out by himself. The man now covered in more blood then how they found him. "That takes care of that." He chuckled as he went to meet up with the others. It shouldn't be too hard to find them, nor did he really worry. The place didn't seem so big, they were bound to run into each other at some point. "Now what could be so important here ? What is it that he won't tell us ?" He asked himself out loud. As the possibilities ran through his head, he continued to walk around within the department.

As the two ascended, the rookie saw that the demon was off to go have his fun. It was almost despicable how he seemed to enjoy it. Clyde vowed to keep a close eye on Valadar if order was ever restored to this city. Finally, on top of the roof. The coast was clear. Not soul even thought of escaping to the roof. The zombie situation inside must have been bad. Luthien then spoke, berating Clyde of secrecy. It wasn't unwarranted. The rookie could only the keep the secret to himself for so long before having to expose the truth. "It's my dog." Clyde finally said. The two stood while bloodshed could be heard from below. "My pet bloodhound, Dutch. He's locked inside at home with all this chaos going on. I can't bear to think of what might happen to him. Inside are the keys to my apartment and maybe another cruiser. I have to protect Dutch. He's my only friend. You can still leave if you want, but I'm going in."
Dutch was a noticeable weak spot for the rookie cop. He was still very human in this city full of supernatural beings. Even though they may act friendly and cooperative, but they weren't human like Clyde. Everything was so new to him here. He wasn't sure if he could trust anyone and judging from his AWOL partner who ditched him, it wasn't looking good.
Just as the rookie was about to open the door to the roof access, someone came out. It was a girl, with dark skin and long dreaded hair. Was she human? It didn't seem matter at the moment. Right now, Clyde had to get down to the basement and to his locker.

She can understand the secrecy but he should at least tell them that he didn't want to talk about it instead of just ignoring their questions. So it turned out that the reason they are hear was to get the keys to his apartment so he can rescue his dog. To some people that may sound ridiculous but to Luthien that was noble. She treasures animals like she does the other civilians, well, they are still second to actual people she can have conversations with but since this dog means a lot to him, she is going to what it takes to help him. When the two of them were going to enter the police department, a woman out of the roof access door. Is she escaping or...just taking a breath of fresh air? Well, right now she is trying to help Clyde so if there are zombies within the department then they have to deal with them. A bow and arrow won't be useful in a place where she may get trapped in tight corridors, so she tied the bow to her back and pulled out two kunais that were strapped to her thighs and followed Clyde where he needed to go. Surprisingly the police department was not overwhelmed. There were a few officers scattered about who looked terrified, some of who weren't human so they were capable of keeping the zombies at bay. "I don't blame you for assuming that we abandon you because you came here so you can have a chance of rescuing your precious companion...but this isn't a horror film. Janhall has a way of making things better and worse...or just being random in general. This is something I can only imagine has happened before and many of us are still alive to this date because what may seem like end of the world is just a Tuesday to us...what I'm saying is you can trust that some of us and you will have me at your side until we see this through. I wouldn't have gone through the effort to save you just to abandon you now."

(( Forgot to quote my sweet Cherry Pie. Whoops. ))"The more I think about it, the more I realize I should've been careful with the front gate." He shrugged with a light chuckle as he explored the first floor. He did say he would meet back with the others, but after busting the gate he figured to check it out. Besides, who knows what else is lurking within this building ? The two should need him as much anyway, he considered them a tough bunch. Surprisingly. As he continued walking around the badly lit hall, he couldn't help but become rather bored with it. "IAlright, that's enough down here. I guess I'll go meet up with them." he said silently to himself as he turned to leave the same way he came. The clicking of his boots echoed as he continued down the hall. If only he knew what was in store for him.

Luthien's words were able to reach to Clyde before he stepped past the girl in front of him. He stopped in his tracks, not turning his head. She had a point. She was different. She was kind and honest. She wasn't like that sleazy frogman and if she wanted to abandon the rookie officer, should have done it a long time ago. Janhall was a weird place, but the people were still people. In a time of crisis like this, it seemed like the whole city was the militia. And they had to work together to handle these kinds of situations. Clyde would have to work with them. That's what his job was: To protect and serve. "Ok then. Follow close behind me. I'll take point and you watch my back. We may have to deal with would be escapist and...zombfied monsters. Excuse me, civilian." Clyde pushed past the dark skin girl and went down the stairs. They were somewhat guarded by other officers who were using magic and such to halt any zombies trying to make their way up as well as protect any live civilians. "Coming through." Clyde shouted, getting people out his way and blasting undead in the face when they showed. "Or, you could stay." Came a voice from the hall. Out of the shadows came a sinewy demon-like figure, chewing from a severed arm. His his skin was black and sallow, with horrendous horns protruding from his head. Lines ran all across his body, marking it in a strange cultish pattern. Fire seemed to follow him as walked and talked. "You're an incubus. Devils who seduce the like human women, much like your whorish counterparts, the succubi. How tasteless. Feasting on the souls on of pitiful beings through sex." The demon took another ghastly chop from the limb in his hand. Blood dripping from his mouth and onto the floor. Strangely, he seemed vanish in and out of the flickering lights. "You incubi are tasteless lot. But only in a manner of speaking. Your flesh should actually be quite delectable. Much better than this poor sap I'm finishing up right now. Yes, this rakshasa is going to dine well tonight."

With her ears, she can hear any civilian and creature that inhabited the building, which can be useful when dealing with the undead. They constantly walk and move slightly slower than humans do. That and they seem to love to groan a lot. Unfortunately she can't use her bow and arrow in a building like this so she prepared her kunais in case she had to thrown them or use them as daggers. The other officers and civilians that were in the police station are holding their own against the zombies but they are terrified. It probably didn't help that the officer she is with is shouting at everyone to get out of way as he too is taking down zombie threats. Anytime a zombie was getting too close to them or to anyone else in particular, she made sure to stab a kunai in a zombie's brain or toss one toward the zombie's head and pull it out once she was sure that it's dead. "As much as I don't like to see these other officers struggle to combat the zombie threat, they seem to be doing well on their own...what are you plans after rescuing your companion officer? Surely not starting a one man war against this zombie threat."

Clyde had been very careful to make sure that every shot he made was a kill shot on these creatures. He also had to be careful not to shoot anyone in distress or people who were already undead but not combative. When the officer had to reload, he would tactically swap places with the elf so that she took point. Clyde and Luthien were making a decent team as the delved deeper into the station. Just as Luthien and Valadar had said to him before, there were no mutated zombies. Though, it was frightening to see elves and dwarfs that had become zombified. The two made their way to the department office area. After having the room cleared out, the two could breath for a moment.
It was then Luthien asked Clyde if had a plan after rescuing his dog. In truth, the rookie hadn't thought that far. He was mostly going on a single track mind. Get to point A, then B, and then C. Call it naive or unprepared, Clyde would at least admit he had made a mistake. Luckily an idea came to mind. He turned to the elf, hoping she would still humor him. "You said you have some kind of safe house right? Would mind terribly if I asked that you watch my dog? I promise he won't bite." Clyde smiled doubtfully, knowing just how silly his requested must have sounded in this troubling time.
