PERSONALITY
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Positive and negative traits

♡ | ☠
To sum this up Trickster is a goofy, happy-go-lucky nightmare with an overactive imagination and an odd list of priorities. They enjoy causing others distress as it amuses them to no end to see different facial expressions and the range that each individual seems to be capable of making. Therefore they amuse themselves by tormenting others just to see these different expressions. That and they think it's just plain hilarious to see what makes others angry, they're a mega button-pusher.

Trickster is a multi-tasker. It wouldn't be uncommon to see them reading a book while juggling knifes and having a deep conversation about the origin of Nightmares since the beginning of time. Trickster's main focus is entertainment, and they switch their attention quickly to pay attention to what is most interesting at that given moment making them quite good at multitasking as they do such. Unfortunately they have a rather short attention span if something starts to grow boring to them and they'll fidget and squirm or just plain fall asleep if a class isn't interesting enough to them at a given time.

Trickster values kinship/packmates over all else. [expand on later] Protect, loyal, scheming, destructive.

Imaginative, A Story-lover | ☠ Opportunistic, Self-indulgent
Trickster loves nothing more then a funny joke, a tall tale, a good story to brighten up their day. They enjoy reading books for that reason alone and although this means they aren't illiterate they are rather opportunistic and take the chance to read a fairy-tale over study notes any day. They also are imaginative and somewhat unrealistic as the stories they read give them crazy ideas, some of which are ideas for pranks. Trickster is also rather self-centered, they focus mainly on themselves and what would benefit them specifically when making choices. For example given the choice between eating an entire cookie while starving or sharing half with an equally starving friend, Trickster would likely choose the more selfish choice and eat the entire cookie themselves.

Likes and dislikes
☕ Hot beverages such as coffee or teas. Candy, sweets, anything that tastes good but is wickedly bad for you.
    ☕ Animal companions.
☕ Mind-games, Board-games or just games in general. Anything that challenges them to something new.
☕ People-watching. Study other's reactions to pranks or jokes that they play on them. Pressing others buttons, making them feel uncomfortable to watch what happens.
☕ Being around a small group of people who don't mind their antics. True friends.

☔ Dislikes talking about their species. They don't know much about themselves and it's somewhat bothersome.
☔ Being outsmarted. Being beaten at their own game. Alternatively they also don't like when others don't want to play with them.
☔ The idea of being ignored, forgotten, left behind. Trickster likes to feel noticed, even if it's in a bad way.
☔ Being rushed, pressured to do something.

Hobbies
☘ Playing games; board games, physical challenges (such as races) or cards. Things that make them think or DO something.
☘ Setting up silly harmless pranks and hiding to watch what happens.
☘ Trying out different kinds of hot beverages, mainly different flavors of teas and coffee.
☘ Making new acquaintances or friends. Well okay, maybe not so much the friend part.
☘ Interestingly enough, reading. Trickster finds stories amusing and will happily pick up a fictional story to indulge themselves in.

MORE INFORMATION
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────
A brief overview of their life so far
Trickster was adopted into a loving Geist family as an infant and was raised alongside two older siblings and several of their adopted aunts and uncles. Although a Grimm they're adopted family tried their best to raise them as they would their own Geist children and worked to include Trickster in their family as much as possible. As a junior they were shipped off to the academy to learn more about the world and get a successful education, just like their older siblings would have been.

Trickster holds their family dear to them and communicates weekly to them through writing letters. Being one of the few nightmares (and Grimm at that) to have a family Trickster doesn't often gloat or share this fact, though that isn't to say they try overly hard to hide it either. It's more of a "you found out, oh well, whatever just let me finish writing this letter." thing to them. They don't really care if anyone knows or not but if nobody asks then why tell them?

Whether or not they're an orphan from the cache
Yes, they would have been one of the few soulstones found of the Grimm that were somehow thrown into the great cache, but were claimed by a Geist family who wanted children.

How their status as an orphan or non-orphan has effected them
Trickster feel constantly lonely. Don't get me wrong they love their adoptive parents but something about being a Grimm in a Geist household always felt wrong and distancing to them. Nevertheless, they steal despite any social backlash that comes from it, as they are happily embracing the Geist culture they cling to and feel apart of. As Grimm have no known culture Trickster is content with feeling almost as if they are a Geist rather then a Grimm and sometimes cringes at the painstakingly reminder that they are indeed part of a extinct race. <-- I wrote that before the Grimm lore was updated so yep, gotta rewrite that.

Their goals in life
Trickster lives in the moment, but I suppose if asked their goals would be to be the greatest prankster ever, have an animal sanctuary, find and learn from other Grimms, open a successful business, and start a family.

RP PROMPT
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Prompt
Your Nightmare has to write an essay on what they want to be when they grow up. Do they procrastinate, or get to work immediately? What is their essay about?

Trickster sat at their desk, legs nonchalantly kicking the seat in front of them; arm propped on the table while they held a pencil to their mouth. Trickster could taste the plastic covering of the mechanical device as they chewed on it, eyes trained on the page in front of them.

In all honesty it was rather simply assignment. "What do you want to be when you grow up?" The teacher had scribbled across the board, a charming smile gazing upon all the students simultaneously. Then she had handed out the worksheet, passing one to all the students and interrupting Trickster as they had finished constructing their spit-ball launcher made out of a straw and some gum. Tricks was just about ready to try it out to, scanning the room for the unfortunate victim of their newest prank when the teacher had placed the worksheet on their desk.

'Humph. What do I want to be when I grow up?' What kind of question was that anyway? It wasn't as if Trickster knew what they'd end up doing.

Grr, this whole assignment was annoying and time consuming. Time that could be spent having fun instead of writing out words on a page.

Kick

Kick

Kick

"Knock it off." Came a voice in front of them, and Trickster raised their eyes from the page with an expression that was far from friendly. Interesting, they were wondering when this kid was going to break. Trickster unleashed a wide smirk towards the annoyed student, then stuck their tongue out at them. 'What're you going to do kid? Tattletale on me or something?' After the student gave a sigh and an eye roll, Trickster gave up their torment in favor of dealing with the stupid paper on their desk.

Turning their eyes downward the Grimm pondered what to fill the clear white space up with. 'What do I want to be when I grow up?' Did they have to answer it right now? It seemed like such a bother to try and make up an answer on the spot. Couldn't they just come back and answer it later?

Hmm. Grr. Gnaw, Snap!

The sound of their pencil breaking in two came as somewhat of a surprise, and after the initial shock of something crunching under the weight of their teeth, Trickster sighed, staring at the broken device in their hand. Then slowly a smile washed over them.

Reaching their foot out Trickster began to bang the chair of the student in front of them. It was a satisfying reaction when the student had whipped around, whispering through gritted teeth "What?!"

-filling in more later-

Extra just in case...

Notes:
- Trickster will probably struggle in school but not wanting to disappoint their family will work really hard to avoid getting kicked out. They'll probably need prompting from a teacher to seek out a tutor if their grades start to suffer but unlike most advice they get from outside-of-the-family grown ups they'll actually listen to this one.
