 Illuminata It had been a very productive morning for the young artisan. Waking up with the sun, Illuminata had meant to start on a new crafts project, but none of the scales she had in her stores held any inspiration for her. It had been time to search for something new.
Something new was always difficult to find when you were dealing in the same material over and over again, only separated by the variants in each colored scale. What was more taxing was when she did find a scale that inspired her, but when she couldn't find any that went nicely with it. She still kept the scale for use in solo projects, but Illuminata had wanted to start something big today, with a lot of scales and maybe some of those shiny rocks she'd acquired from the Earth Triber she saw last month.
In the end, Illuminata had lost her patience while searching the capital for fallen scales. She broadened her range of what to search for and started to pile in more scales in her bags then she would have carried under normal circumstances. By the time she decided to head back to her workshop, her paw steps had begun to fall more heavily and she wobbled under the weight of the bags.
But this is good. With all the scales I've found, there's bound to be at least four that I can use in my project! She thought as her workshop came into sight.
Had it not been for that pesky root that appeared unseen under paw, Illuminata may have gotten home without any incident. Unfortunately, as fate would have it, her paws were caught on the root and with a cry of surprise, she began to topple forward, hoping her own scales would protect her from getting crushed by the ones she carried in backs upon her person.  Ecthelion As fate would have it, Ecthelion would be happening along and watch the events unfold before him. It would be his luck that he'd catch her, however, we are not to that point in his tale just yet. We have to understand first, why he was there.
He wasn't even really sure about many things, though the one thing that he was certain of was that he needed to make something useful of himself. But how? Ever since he had been woven into existence he honestly hadn't much interaction but with with a very odd Harlequin, an adventurous young Sitara and peculiar Mizar. Those few occurrences made him realize a great deal of things, mostly that the needed to make a way for himself.
Though he wasn't quite sure of how to do that.
A great deal of walking and getting lost had lead him to the capitol. There were a wide variety of things of the likes he had not encountered yet. He understood and knew of what they were, however, he had never the chance to experience any of it before. So he was much like a cub with a new toy. He was extremely fascinated and beyond himself with curiosity.
This is where Illuminata comes in, or rather stumbles into his existence. It would just so happen that he would be rounding a corner to see her walking along, lost in thought almost. He watched, in slow motion as she was caught off guard by a root and he only knew what would happen next. He bounded forward quickly and basically threw himself in front of her in an attempt to catch her, though he wasn't entirely expecting the weight of the scales and it just really pushed him over and she fell on top of him and he let out a huff as the air was knocked from his lungs. "Are you okay?" We wheezed out.
He hadn't honestly been hurt, his scales had done their job but he honestly hadn't expected to be knocked over. So he was slightly embarrassed, though at the same time he wasn't.

It was quite perplexing for Illuminata to be expecting to feel the soft ground beneath her, but instead coming into contact with the feeling of fur instead. She, who had closed her eyes in readiness for the fall, opened them again and was startled to find that she had landed on someone. Her fur warmed as she gazed into cyan eyes. She could have gone on staring until he asked if she was alright and she stumbled off of him.
"Oh goodness, I'm so sorry! I didn't see anyone coming and--" She gave a resigned sigh, shook herself slightly and then looked back to the stranger, "I am alright, thank you. How are you fairing? Oh dear, and the scales!" She exclaimed suddenly, looking about the scattered scales. Luckily, it seems as though the majority had stayed within the bags upon her back, for there was still a significant weight to them.
Still, she had to gather up the others and with an apologetic look to her fellow Light triber she said, "I'm sorry to ask this way, but could you help me? I need to get them over to my workshop, it's just over across the way, see?" She gestured to a pathway that lead into a clearing that was encircled by tree branches. There were shimmering colorful lights coming off of the area, where some of her works were presented. "Please? I would be so grateful your help... And if you're interested, I could show you around my workshop." It was a feeble invitation, but he was handsome... And she felt so comfortable with him around, though she certainly couldn't place where such a feeling came from. WC: 279

He was quite pleased that the Nan hadn't been harmed when she'd fallen and he gave her a reassuring smile in return, "It's quite alright. No harm done I assure you." Taking a look around he started to help pick up the scales and place them back into their bags, it wasn't particularly hard given they were able to lift them mentally. He could only imagine if he had to pick them all up by paw! It would take forever. "I can help carry some of these for you if you want?" It was polite to offer even though she seemed to have everything handled on her own. "I'm Ecthelion, what might I call you by? I would be honored to see your workshop." While he wasn't the artistic type he admired those that had the talent.

Illuminata beamed when the Tah informed her that he was alright. How dreadful it would have been if she had had to take him to a healer. Then everyone would look at her strangely (or more so, considering they already looked at the Nan who picked up fallen scales around the districts.) Still, like he said, there was no harm done and she was much better off for it. With him helping her, she found it down quite easier. Then when he offered to help carry some of the bags, her expression melted into one of relief.
"That's so kind of you. Thank you, please." She told him and with some higher level of concentration managed to float a bag uneasily from her back to resting on his, near his shoulders. With the weight literally lifted from her shoulders she sighed, a happy smile on her maw. "Thank you, again." She told him her ears flicking when she learned his name.
"I am Illuminata. It's a pleasure to meet you, Ecthelion." Again, there was a warmth within her that spread to the furthest reaches of her being. Her expression reflected the warmth she felt within her and she glowed at her companion. "Well then, we've got a bit of walking, since we're headed towards the Amber District. In the meantime, I'm quite interested in knowing more about you. It's not every day I meet such handsome strangers." She grinned at him, eyes sparkling. WC: 243
