CHILDHOOD Kian lived a fairly average life pre-Hogwarts. He was born to a muggle mother, who was a doctor, and a wizard father. He went to muggle school up until he received his letter of acceptance to Hogwarts, and enjoyed muggle school. Although he hated the work, it was nice making friends and goofing around with them. Once he received his letter, he was shocked. More shocked that his parents knew about it and didn't tell him.
So he locked himself in his room.. for about an hour, before he got hungry and came out again.
SCHOOL YEARS
FIRST YEAR Kian's first year was pretty uneventful, actually.. He mainly spent his time exploring around the castle when he wasn't in class, and it was his first year that he first learned what classes he absolutely hated.. Ones that had no wands in them.
SECOND YEAR Second year was a bit better, as he tried out for Quidditch, and learned to love the sport, even if he didn't exactly make it onto first string this year, or a couple of years after that.
THIRD YEAR In Kian's third year, he learned he had a passion for working with magical creatures, and decided that after he graduated he'd go on to work with them wherever he could.
FOURTH YEAR Kian's fourth year was also pretty uneventful, mainly going to class (sometime), having fun and causing trouble wherever he could, which did gain him some enemies on the staff, though he was only 14, so he didn't care. Why would he?
FIFTH YEAR In his fifth year, Kian was directed to a seventh year girl named Hanna Fairchild, for tutoring of sorts. He thought it was going to be an absolute bore, and would have rather just skipped out on the OWL exams completely, but if he was going to have a future, well, he had to do it. So he did. And actually, he found her to be not half bad. Kinda cute, too. To add onto that, he finally made it onto the Gryffindor quidditch team as a seeker, even if only for two years.
SIXTH YEAR Besides being relieved of classes that he really hated, not too much happened his sixth year, besides getting new friends, exploring new things, and improving his skills in Quidditch.
SEVENTH YEAR Seventh year was very stressful for Kian. He had to study for his NEWTS all by himself, without the help of Hanna, and of course that was hard for him to do. Although he did manage to pass with mostly flying colors.
POST GRADUATION After graduating, Kian immediately found his own place in London and started a job in the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau, where he's been working ever since. He also took some odd jobs here and there to bring in a little extra money for rent and food, somewhere along the lines meeting up with Hanna again, going on a few dates and eventually marrying her.

■ MESSY Hannelore is absolutely horrible about keeping organized; in fact, she actually dislikes the idea of organization. She prefers chaos and messes, saying that it just suits her better. She is absolutely horrible about cleaning up after herself, and has been since she was a child. The use of magic has helped her, but only marginally.
■ ABSENT-MINDED Going hand-in-hand with her penchant for chaos, Hanna has a terrible problem with losing track of things, be they actual physical objects, or just thoughts floating through her head. She often has to speak her mind as soon as a thought occurs to ensure that she doesn't lose it before she gets a chance to say it. She is also very easily distracted, and tends to leave projects laying about half-finished until someone points them out to her.
■ FUNNY She enjoys a good joke, and has a very healthy sense of humor. She's quick to the draw when engaged in a battle of wits, and is excellent at making people laugh. This is possibly her favorite thing about herself, because she finds that humor is often the best way to bond with a person, and to diffuse a tense situation.
■ CLEVER Part of the reason Hanna is so disorganized is simply because her mind moves quickly; it jumps from idea to idea, thought to thought, and is always engaged in something. She's very quick to solve a puzzle, has little difficulty with problems, and can generally be counted on to come up with a quick solution.
■ CREATIVE Hanna has a keen eye for aesthetic, and it shows when she takes the time to actually attempt at making things look nice. She is excellent at flower arrangements and has a flair for interesting designs. While not terribly skilled at any traditional art forms, she does enjoy interior design and things of that nature, and often has interesting ideas for what to do with the space.
■ AFFECTIONATE She grew up in a very close, very loving family, and it shows; Hannelore is never one to withhold affection. She is especially fond of being sweet to her family in situations where it will embarrass them, and never misses an opportunity to do so. CHILDHOOD Hannelore was the firstborn daughter of the Fairchild family, a German-English family living in the English countryside. Her younger sister Natasha was born two years after her, and the two were always exceptionally close. They were raised in a very happy, loving family. Around the time that Hanna was six, odd things began happening around the house. The most notable event was when a blouse Hanna had received for the holidays, in a very (to her mind) ugly shade of dark orange, was found in the wash, having somehow changed to her favorite shade of green. When she was eleven, they were finally given an explanation, in the form of a man, who came to the Fairchild's home and explained that their eldest daughter was a witch.
SCHOOL YEARS Hanna took to Hogwarts like a moth to a flame; the discovery of magic fascinated her, and she saw her entrance into a new world as a grand adventure. She instantly became friends with a boy in her house by the name of Jonathan Blythe, who was pretty much the only other person in their entire year who didn't seem to think that Herbology was a dull lesson. The pair became very close, which Hanna was especially thankful for, given that Jon was as excellent at Potions as she was horrible at it. She was always a fairly good student in most lessons, and an excellent one in those she either took to easily or was particularly interested in. As a result, in her seventh year, a fifth year boy named Kian was directed to her for help studying for his OWL exams. Hanna was happy to help, and found Kian fun and interesting, and so developed a friendship with him.
POST GRADUATION After graduation, Hanna directed her studies exclusively towards herbology, making it her career. She lived at home with her parents for a while, mostly because she didn't like the thought of living alone. There was, for a time, talk of her moving in with Jon and her sister Nat, who were engaged at the time, but she didn't fancy being a third wheel all the time. Two years after her own graduation, she ran into Kian, who she'd kept in touch with since leaving school. The two reconnected, and she found that she was attracted to him, which struck her as odd at first, since when they'd first met, she'd thought of him as something of a kid. They dated for a few years, then married. Hanna, in no rush to start a family, didn't worry about children until she realized that her niece Adalaide was already starting school. Deciding she didn't want to wait any longer, they began trying to a child, and she gave birth to Benjamin in 2020, ten days after his cousin Sebastian was born.
Jonathan and Natasha's branch of the family seemed to grow distant from Hanna, which troubled her greatly, but she could never seem to get them to open up about the cause. Fearing it was something she'd done, she attempted to make amends, but nothing ever seemed to work. She threw herself into motherhood and her work to distract herself. However, recently her sister and brother-in-law have attempted to reconnect, which has thrilled her to no end. Knowing that both boys would be starting school together in a couple of years, she and Kian moved their family to Ottery St. Catchpole to be closer to the Blythes so that the boys could hopefully bond with one another.

■ NOBLE Ever since he was young, Benjamin has always commanded an air of leadership about him. He tends to be calm and rational about situations, and it's fairly rare that he would get too angry or upset about anything. For example, when someone accidentally hurts his feelings, he usually smiles and pretends not to be bothered by it, wanting to project a positive, self confident image. But when someone does cross a line, they are usually surprised at the sudden strength of his defensive attack. On these rare occasions that someone does get him going, it seems to them that the storm had burst from clear blue skies.
■ EMPATHIC As described by his Oma, Benjamin has always been a good listener, even if he is bored to death. He will always look to understand someone's emotions, and will try to help them through the good and the bad times.
■ AMIABLE With his empathetic nature, Benjamin has always been able to change himself around to any person that he needs to be for any given situation. For example with someone that is outgoing and extroverted, he can be rowdy, loud, and social. Though with someone who is more introverted and shy, he can adjust to being quiet and sensitive.
■ BRAVE As Benjamin has been slowly finding out, there is more to being brave than being first. In some instances so far, he has learned that bravery comes from doing what must be done, even though you are scared. For example, the time Benny forgot his fathers briefcase in the garden late at night, with no lights and knew that he had to retrieve it for him for work the next day; and so he dashed in and out of the house to get it for him.
■ PROTECTIVE Even as young as he is, Benjamin has always had a fierce passion for standing up for his family, friends, and anything that seemed to need help from him.
■ CURIOUS As a sort of "Jack of all Trades", Benjamin has always been interested in finding out the ways that various things work. He is constantly wanting to learn, and has, on multiple occasions, gotten a rise from his mum and dad because of all the questions that he has pestered them with.

CHILDHOOD While growing up, Benjamin has always been an odd assortment of balance between introversion and extroversion. While being homeschooled by Mrs. Bates like most wizarding children, Benjamin has lived in a world all of his own. In most cases, he will enjoy a romp through the fields and woods near his home, though he will equally be found indoors with his nose in an adventure book. Through his early years Benny has enjoyed the life of a single child, and always looked forward to outings with his parents, or time alone with either of them. Whether it was going to work with his father and learning about the animals in the magical world, or being with his mother in her gardens and learning about the different plants that could be found there, Benny was always sure to be having a good time.
Though as the years passed by he soon found that his solo journeys into the woods, or his evenings reading books were too lonely, and on his tenth birthday found himself wishing for a friend of his own. Several days later and much to his surprise, Benjamin was given exciting news that the family would soon be moving to Ottery St. Catchpole to be closer to extended family that he had never met before.
With this in tow, Benny packed all of his things, thinking that this change would be the chance for a great adventure. While he would miss his familiar woods and fields, Benny was promised by his parents that he would not only meet his cousins his own age, but that he would still be able to enjoy the outdoors; as it was fairly like a countryside town like at their own previous home.
SCHOOL YEARS
FIRST YEAR Benny had gotten off to a rough start at school, he was stunned to have been placed in the Hufflepuff house, and is dealing with a little dysphoria, seeing as his attributes are more aligned with the old houses of his father and mother. In his History of Magic class, he got into a fierce debate in which ended up in a detention. He tried to connect with the Herbology professor, Professor Hill, only to find him to be insulting and rude. But ultimately, he made two very good friends, Fianna Grey, and James "Jack" Rich.
