"This works as a weapon, right?" came a quiet, curious mumble from inside the dumpster of a back alley. The lid of the large container was left open and the top of a mop of brown hair could be seen coming up from the inside, along with the two points of Urda's tiara. The chibi senshi was nearly chest deep in maybe a week's--or at least it looked like a week's--worth of trash, hoping to find something useful to aid him in his nightly duties.
His mom would have a mini heart attack if she knew what he was doing.
But she didn't, so he was safe. For now.
With a grin he held fast to the wooden handle of an old, rusted, but still perfectly usable spade. At least for his purposes. He'd given it some serious thought, actually, and earlier that day he finally came to the realization that he probably needed a weapon if he wanted to hold his own. This spade, now that he happened across it, would probably do just the trick. The fact that it was related to his "magic" was just coincidence.
So after inspecting it and wielding it as though it were a dagger, the young senshi gave a final nod of approval and turned to get out of the dumpster…
"Uh," he started, reaching up to try and hoist himself over the side. Whether it was the trash that was pressing in on him from all sides, his (lack of) height and reach, and maybe something mysterious keeping him quite literally stuck in his spot, or even a combination of any of the above, he realized he couldn't get out.
For a second he stood there and just blinked, then did just about the only thing that he could do.
Hey! Is anyone out there? Little kid could use a hand, here!" he called, his ears getting hot at the admission of being a kid at all. He hated that...but he needed help.
Ian had just powered up and was going for a walk, planning to patrol and handle any youma he might come across, when he felt the signature of a senshi - a lower level senshi. It was that which had him headed in that direction, just to keep them safe in case anything should try and attack them.
What he wasn’t expecting was to see a dumpster and a few trash cans but nothing else. The alley was otherwise empty...but the senshi was close. Casting his gaze upward, tilting his head up, he saw nothing but then he heard something and it was coming from the...dumpster?
Hearing someone moving about in the dumpster the super senshi had backed away and moved around the corner so he wasn’t seen. Peeking around though, so he could see the other person, he was surprised when they didn’t appear but he soon heard them and blinked...a chibi? Was that a chibi senshi? he was guessing it was, since he still felt the senshi aura around here and was assuming this dumpster trapped child was indeed the owner of the aura.
“Coming.” Calling out he headed back down the alley way and went to peek down at the little child who was indeed a senshi. “Trapped?” he questioned even as he offered a hand down to the kid, hoping he could just pull the kid out.
The approaching aura gave him hope for a quick escape out of his smelly circumstance, and so as it drew closer he raised his voice a bit more until finally the head of an older someone came into view from just beyond the opening of the dumpster. With a relieved sigh he gave a nod to the older senshi's question and reached up, glad to take his offered hand to get him out of there as quick and as painlessly as possible.
"Pretty stuck, yeah…" he said as he tried with his other hand to get rid of some of the trash that was holding him in place. When he got a bit more breathing room he did his best to pull himself out with the other senshi's help. "I didn't plan on it being so deep in here, or there being so much trash. But…"
As his hand was taken he started to yank the child senshi up, hoping the other could get out of the dumpster. “Try and use your legs to help climb up the wall.” He advised as he continued to pull and took a step back, so he wasn’t in the chibi’s way when they got out of the dumpster - he didn’t wanna get kicked or have the other land on top of him.
“Why are you even in a dumpster?” He questioned the other as he honestly didn’t understand why a little senshi, or any senshi, would be inside of a dumpster. It would make no sense, as far as he was concerned, for being inside any trash container at least not when powered up. He could understand if someone was looking for something they’d thrown out but he didn’t see that being the case when powered up.
Urda did as instructed and reached up to grip the lip of the container while trying his best to climb up with his legs. It was like climbing out of a really, really gross ball pit--challenging and unpleasant, but manageable now that he had help. With both their efforts Urda was able to free himself from the grip of the trash bags, and with the other senshi pulling he dang near flew out of that bin, landing unceremoniously on his butt once outside.
"Looking for a weapon," he admitted while moving to stand back up. He could smell the grossness of the dumpster, but that was fine so long as he had his prize. With a grin he reached behind him to get the spade, which he'd tucked away at some point during that awkward struggle, and pulled it out to show. "I found one! I can clean it up and carry it around, maybe like a fake dagger or something. It's better than going around relying on my 'magic,' so…"
He made the air quote sign with his other hand, then proceeded to extend it for a handshake. "I'm Urda, by the way. Thanks for your help. My mom would probably ground me for life if I got stuck in a dumpster overnight."
“A weapon?” he questioned as he looked down at the smaller, and much younger, senshi. Pinching the bridge of his nose he sighed. “You should power down and back up, it’ll handle your uniform.” but not the rest of him...he needed a bath likely and Chaldene couldn’t offer that to the other, he had no water magic or anything to use on the chibi in order to clean him off.
“Your magic should help you...not a weapon. But what magic do you have?” Because perhaps his magic really was useless? he knew his own was good for distractions but not much else. It was why he’d been fighting youma, as a way of learning how to fight.
“Chaldene, senshi of will’o’the wisp.” Not that he thought the chibi would know what that was, unless he’d perhaps seen that Disney movie Brave? Maybe then but otherwise it wasn’t something a child would likely have ever heard of much less have a clue about. “You should talk to your mother about karate lessons or something. That would help better.” He suggested, even though it was advice he himself could take. Chaldene just wasn’t the sort for organized things like that - too many people and it required him to be social to an extent and that just wasn’t his thing.
He pursed his lips into a thin line and simply shook his head at the proffered idea of his magic being able to help him, or anyone at all for that matter. "I summon a bush. A small one. And it withers really, really fast. I mean, really fast!" As if repeating it would convince Chaldene to agree with him. "So I found this!" He waved the spade in his hand around a little, again for a little more emphasis, before withdrawing it and tucking his new weapon away on his sash and considering the other's sphere.
"Will 'o' the wisp?" he asked, then quickly waved it off. Probably something...he could ask for the explanation later. The idea of karate caught his attention and he again shook his head. "She suggested it before and I said I wanted to play soccer. But maybe you can help me! You fight, right? You're a senshi and everything! And I bet you have cool powers. Better than mine, too."
Because, as far as he was concerned, everyone's powers were better than his. "Whaddaya say? Wanna help me out? I can learn at least a little something...maybe. I'll let you use my spade!"
“A bush…? Explain.” There was no way it could be a useless bush, right? Magic, or whatever it was, would not do that to a senshi especially a little kid - they should have the most powerful magic if only to keep them safe since fighting for them wouldn’t be the biggest thing for them to rely on where as it could be for an older senshi.
“I can but I’m not going to be that good. You should still try karate lessons.” He said thinking that it would be the best idea for the little senshi. If he could get enrolled in that, or some other self defense class, it would be best for him. They could tailor things to someone his size trying to protect himself against someone much bigger than him. It was a wonder that with the cities terrorist issues that more self defense places hadn’t opened up.
“My power is not one that’ll hurt anyone. It’s a distraction so I can use physical means to handle them or someone else can.” or so he could flee if need be, such as if he was out numbered. he didn’t add that last part though.
“I’ll help you, not here though.” Looking around the alley. “I will help though and I’d like to see your magic. I’ll show you mine as well.”
"Sweet!"
A lot of what Chaldene had actually said went in one ear and out the other, actually. Urda selectively heard "I'll help you" and with just that much he gave a solid fist pump and sidled up to the older senshi as if he was his new best friend. For all either of them knew, that might well be the case, too! He was good, either way. Someone to help him train was never a bad thing.
"But I'm not lying! I seriously just summon a bush…" and he trailed from there, explaining himself a little bit more and expanding on what actually happens when he uses his magic. All the while he didn't really pay much attention to where they were going, just that they were getting out of the alley (though the smell still followed them because of him) and going off to somewhere probably more out of sight. He noticed that much, at least, when it came to being one of the city's powered-up people: privacy was important.
"Just imagine like...a bush suddenly sprouting out from the ground when I look in your direction. I touched it once and it kind of hurt, like.. it was a little thorny, but that's only a problem if you're wearing shorts. And then it lives for like.. I dunno, seconds, and then it dies! Dies!"
Did he now have a little fan? Oh god...he had the feeling he was going to have a little stalker...or friend? How wrong did it sound to think of a little kid like this as a friend? “Do you have one of the senshi phones?” He asked while pulling out his own. “I can give you my number, in case you need help or company.” In case he was on his own, someone should stay with these little senshi and make sure they were safe. Did he have a team? Not that Chaldene had, though he was loosely part of the Jovians.
“Hmmm...maybe it’ll get worse when you gain in rank...when you power up. By worse I mean the thorns might be sharper...and maybe it’ll last longer.” She said thoughtfully as he led the way away from the alley way and headed them off to somewhere safe and private. From there he would try and get the little one to power down and then power back up, to handle at least some of the cleaning he needed.
“Will you be safe, when we’re done, with getting home? If not I can invite you to where I’m staying. I’m living with a knight.” Since he needed somewhere to stay and it was a safe place for him to live. “You can wash up and spend the evening if need be.” It was an offer so he didn’t walk into his home smelling and being caught by his mother.
Urda nodded along and quietly handed over his phone without a word, as his attention had been stolen by their surroundings. It was a small forested area in the park just near the alley he'd gone dumpster diving in, well out of the way. At least, when he tried to look around and see if there was a chance an adventurous civilian would find them, he somehow doubted it. So, detaching himself from Chaldene, Urda walked some feet away, once again pulling out the spade and waving it around as he proceeded to respond to the older senshi's questions.
"Maybe, but I'm not ranking up or anything, and I don't really even understand how ranking up works. Do the cats have something to do with that, too?" he thought to ask, sidetracked momentarily from the rant he was about to go on. "Anyway! Watch! You'll see why I need this thing, you'll see!"
With that the chibi senshi knelt down and placed the palm of his hand calmly on the ground, making sure to keep his focus on Chaldene.
“The cats seem to know when we’re ready for it. You should make friends with a cat anyway, they are helpful little things.” He said smiling as he programed his number into the others phone, and then added Urda’s number into his own phone. Who knows when he might, for some reason, need to get in touch with the smaller senshi. Approaching the wandering chibi he offered the other his phone back.
Ok, so he’d been expecting a bust but not one so small. As it wrapped about his legs he looked to the chibi senshi and nodded - he understood. “This could prove useful, as a slow as well as some painful injuries if it gets longer thorns and becomes bigger.” When he powered up if the bush, and more importantly its thorns, for bigger...yeah.
“Alright, so I’ll show you my magic now also...at least one of the spells.” Waiting till the bush had withered and died, rather than try and yank his legs free and perhaps cut up his pants a bit, he went and bent down to the others height and ruffled his hair. “Now watch.” His fingers formed a gun of sorts and he blew across the muzzle, whispering the attack as he aimed for the little chibi, he’d find out just what a will’o’the wisp was this way also.
There was something to be said about being totally...useless. Getting his hair ruffled, while something he thought of as an affectionate sort of thing, in this situation sort of just aggravated that feeling for him. Still, he forced a sort of smile on his face and, again, did as he was told.
Spade in hand, he watched Chaldene work, so to speak, and his attention was quickly on the wisps of blue coming from the other senshi. Or...yeah, coming from the other senshi. He blinked curiously at them, his expression going from curious to confused, then smiling as he focused solely on the wisps of blue that seemed to coming right for him. His eyes darted from one little blue light to the next, his grip on the spade quickly loosening--they were right, he didn't need the silly thing--as he moved to try and catch the little buggers. Nightlight purposes...?
"Wait! Hey…" he started to call out, reaching for one, then two...but as quickly as they came they were gone again, leaving the young senshi rather baffled and a few feet further from Chaldene than he had been just a moment earlier. He looked wordlessly at him, leaving the question of "what happened" unasked as he waited for some sort of an explanation.
Smiling as he stood back up, spade in hand, he watched the little one try and catch the little wisps of blue light. He hadn’t really used that attack much, save for on youma, so seeing someone chase them was a new sort of thing for him. Entirely new however was that it was a small child chasing them as a young, and innocent, child would chase fireflies in the sumner. It really reminded him of how young and innocent this chibi senshi likely was, just like all of the chibi senshi.
Following after him, spade in hand, he didn’t want him getting too far away. When the others eyes were trained on him he smiled. “That’s my magic. I can distract people. Will’o’the wisp is just that..wisps of light normally said in stories to lead people away from things...and lead them into trouble. In this case they would just distract someone long enough to attack them.” He said this while offering the other the spade back. “So you could hit them with the spade.” He said with a bit more of a smile.
“So what did you think of it?”
Again, Urda could only nod along as he took back the spade that was offered to him. "Distracting balls of light," he repeated, almost in awe of the fact that someone's magic was so much more useful than his. He already said so earlier, so after a moment of being awestruck he gave a sigh and looked woefully at the spade. "Guess we could be a good team if we got the chance to work together," he started to say before sighing again.
There was only so much he could do about the situation, anyhow.
"But I knew your magic was better than mine! Cooler looking, too…" he trailed off for only a second before bouncing back, this time with a little bit more of a smile on his face. "Anyway, I can still be useful if I'm in a group! I think...right? If anything, they always use the little guy as bait, and I play soccer! So I run really fast, and as a senshi I run really, really fast!"
He cut himself off there, not quite sure how to continue. Fact was he wasn't on a team or with any group of any sort, so whether he'd be useful or not was still more a question than a real claim. Should he just ask? The older seshi might not enjoy someone relatively useless sticking so close, so probably not…
The chibi senshi fidgeted a little where he stood, before finally heaving one last sigh. "I think I might just go home tonight, then. I can only summon that bush twice, and I don't have a reason to summon it again and I got my weapon anyway, so maybe…"
Should he ask if they could stick together?
Laughing he smiled down at the other. He really hoped, for the others sake, that he got better magic as he hit supr and eternal stage. Somehow he felt that if he didn’t the little one would be really upset and feel a little more useless. Right now that attack didn’t do much, though it did help and would come in helpful for group things - just as his orbs did.
“We can work together. You have my number so you can call me when you need to.” He said as he shook his head. “I think everyones magic looks cool - it’s all magic after all. It all goes against science.” Though he supposed it wasn’t a good thing to ever tell a science teacher...much less prove.
“I wouldn’t want you used as bait...and some members of the Negaverse won’t go after a chibi - which is good for you.” He doubted the others mother would be pleased if he came home bruised and beaten up due to some negaverse agent.
“You don’t need to go home. Not if you don’t want to. I can show you what little I know. You did say you play soccer so your kicks must be good, yes?” he questioned the other while brushing his bangs from his face, a few strands of hair catching on the industrial piercing he had in his ear. “Why don’t we work on that. You are smaller than most you’ll fight so that will come in handy and if all else fails, and you're against a guy, grab him and squeeze.”
Urda's face lit up when the other offered to team up. He didn't have to ask! Which...well, he was probably going to anyway, so this was a small relief for him. He stashed the spade and bobbed his head a little as he thought about how all magic was supposed to be cool. Inevitably his thoughts came back to his own magic and his smile fell. "Growing a thorn bush isn't anything impressive.. if it glowed or something, maybe. Or held onto the person's foot, like in those zombie movie where their hands come out of the ground. That'd be cool…"
Oh, he'd given the "my magic would be a whole lot better if" topic a lot of thought by now.
In any case, he dismissed his own thoughts so as not to dwell too long on them. Chaldene already knew his feelings, and there was still a good chance he could scare the guy away with all the whining he could really do.
At the offer to not go home, he had to decline. "My mom doesn't know I'm gone, but I'll be a goner if she finds me not in bed in the morning, so I have to go home. I'll show you my kick next time, though! And you can teach me some more.. I'm a pretty good student. I'll bring my soccer ball and this spade, and we can train some more. Brainstorm how growing a bush can be," and he made a very doubtful face, "useful."
“You're still doing something which takes months or years. You're growing a bush from nothing, no seeds, no time or water...it’s still impressive in it’s own way. Don’t doubt that - ever. Magic is magic, no matter how glowy and bright or anything else. It’s all magic.” Time to boost the chibi’s confidence, something he normally wasn’t good at but he’d try. He figured a child was easy to work with, better than someone his own age. he was more known for confidence issues than helping people with them...but he was trying here.
“Perhaps when you reach super level it will do like in the zombie movies. We’ll have to see, won’t we?” he asked smiling. The other would make it to super, he’d help him get there - he assured himself of that. He would do his best to help the chibi and give him some confidence...was he really going to be playing big brother? Yup. The emo who had dropped out of high school and was really no sort of role model was about to take on being a big brother/mentor.
“How about after training tonight I walk you home, to make sure you’re alright. I would want you alone and someone to attack you. You need your team member with you.” Yup, he was taking on a protector and elder sibling role. God help him...or something. “Well, I’d rather you show me that kick of yours on a person, such as myself. And I’ll try and block your attacks. I want you to attack me...kicks and hands. I’ll block. That sound good for training tonight?”
It made sense, but there was still a small part of him that wasn't a huge fan of his magic. Still, he offered Chaldene a small smile to show his appreciation for the kind words. Maybe somewhere along the road, probably when he ranks up and he can do more than grow a little bush, he'd come to appreciate his magic more. Right now, though, the small bit of appreciation was about all he could muster.
"I guess it'll be a surprise worth looking forward to…" he said slowly, widening his smile a little. Now that was a statement he could believe, which helped to console him.
He perked up even more at the prospect of a bit more training for the night, and quickly he wielded his dagger-spade and pointed in a random direction. "Thanks, that'd be awesome! But...I'm not sure kicking you is a good idea…" Still, despite himself he set the spade down and got into position, as though he were about to kick a soccer ball. "Are you sure about this?"
He hoped he was there when the little senshi made super, so he could see what changes would come to Urda and what his new magic would be. His own magic was mostly the same between senshi and super senshi but it just seemed to have gotten more powerful? Perhaps the slight added whispers was a change, though he considered it his attack just getting stronger and more distracting.
“I’m sure. A few bruises if fine. I’d rather you trained and me with a few bruises than you clueless.” And working with a weapon that could be taken from him - and then what? “Ok, try and kick me and lets see how hard you can kick. Then we’ll work on you making a fist and hitting me.” God, his lessons with Tsui might just come in handy in more ways than he’d originally thought they would.
Bruises weren't a big deal; even he had to deal with those, especially after really, really tough practice sessions at the start of the season. Bruises were just evidence of training, and Urda figured he wasn't in a spot to really turn down the chance for a bit of training anyway. He needed all the help he could get, after all. So, at the older senshi's words Urda positioned himself and focused briefly.
"Here goes!" he finally called after a few seconds, then as agreed upon he aim a hard, fast (or at least as hard and as fast as a 10 year old soccer player could manage) kick to Chaldene's leg.
Letting the other kick him he did stare in surprise at the little one. “That’s good.” And he would bruise from it he knew, but didn’t care. He’d wind up needing to put something on it when he got home. “Ok, that’s nice a strong. Now try and make a fist and lets see how you punch.” He said hoping to lend the other some more confidence.
A grin spread itself across Urda's face at the other's approval of his strength. His coach said he had a pretty good kick, too, but he figured it would only serve him well in soccer. For once he was actually glad to be proven wrong. At the next instruction he nodded and balled his fists, then bounced a bit--like he was copying the main guy from those old boxing movies--before throwing a punch.
Or trying to. It wasn't anything impressive, he was almost sure of that. "Uh..." he started, then frowned. "How was that?"
Laughing as the other bounced about he shook his head. “No, that’ll make it easier to knock you over. Let me see your fist though.” He said moving to stand next to the other and look it over.
Taking the others smaller hand he started to work on the others hand and forming it into a better fist. “Like that.” He said.
Urda could only nod along--punching wasn't really his game--and, when Chaldene had finished positioning his fist, he squeezed both fists a little to get a better feel of how tight they were supposed to be. It wasn't anything new, but because the situation was so different--he wasn't play-fighting with his cousin, that is--it felt very unfamiliar. Still, he nodded again and took another swing at Chaldene, but this time following up with his other hand for a short sort of combination.
"Does this even really help you in real life?" he asked, frowning. It felt...somehow rehearsed. Even to him. Maybe because he was punching air? So he dropped his hands and looked to Chaldene, a doubtful expression spread across his young face as he waited for an answer.
“In real life it can, but especially in our life.” He answered even as he let the other hit him, one hand and then the other. He was glad to be helping the other and hoped he’d never need it outside of this life. They did enough fighting as senshi they shouldn’t have to as civilians.
“As a senshi...it’ll be needed eventually. There have been enough fights, a kidnapping, and other things. Magic only gets you so far and can only be used so many times.” Not to mention that some magic could be resisted or broken out of. It was best to be able to use fist and feet as he’d learned from Tsui a while back.
“Would you like mt to look into self defense classes for you? I can find someone good, perhaps someone even amongst our own ranks - a senshi or a knight. They can teach even more useful things than I can.” He offered with a smile. “Maybe karate or something you can do and enjoy.” It would be good for building stamina too, not that soccer wasn’t good for that. He just hoped the chibi didn’t think he was trying to push him away - because he certainly wasn’t.
He listened with intent; his doubt wasn't quite entirely erased but for now he would believe the older, not to mention more experienced, senshi. He was grateful for the help, anyway, and it wouldn't do to be so impolite as to stubbornly--and for no real reason, too--doubt someone who was clearly trying to help him out. Urda gave a nod and raised his fists again, moving to jab and do combinations (rather sloppily) like he saw on TV.
"Are there others that want to teach a chibi senshi like me?" he asked between punches, his mind dwelling on the times at school when the older kids would push the younger kids like him around. "If there aren't any, maybe I'll ask my mom after all. If you really think it'll help more than getting a weapon..."
“I’m honestly not sure but I can ask if you’d like?” He offered the other as he moved to block some of the hits coming from the chibi, not that the little ones hit hurt much. Blocking another he laughed softly.
“I do think it’ll help, I think it might surprise a negaverse officer for a trained little fighter and it’s best you be able to fight. Running won’t work if they can teleport, which most seem to be able to do. A weapon can be knocked away and that leaves you with magic or your fists and feet. Best you learn to use them. You can carry the spade also if you wish.” But to just carry that and have magic wasn’t enough. Not when the other side could teleport and had weapons of various kinds. They had unlimited use of that and were likely better with using them than any senshi, and perhaps knight, would be with using an actual weapon.
"Alright," was the last thing he said, paired with one final punch, the strongest he could manage, before he had to take a break. It wasn't as taxing as soccer, but punching and even just pretending to fight was hard. Urda wiped the beads of sweat that had started to form on his forehead with the back of his hand and smiled up at Chaldene.
"It'd be awesome if someone was willing to help me learn to fight! But don't worry about it. If I pick up karate or something, and we keep sparring like this, I'll probably manage…" or he hoped so, anyway. The last thing he really wanted to be was a burden to anyone, so he wasn't keen on the idea of Chaldene going to too great a trouble finding someone to teach him. That's what his parents were for, right?
With a grin, he poised for another round of punches, if the other were so inclined. "Is there any way I can help you, though?" he finally thought to ask, his fists going down only slightly.
“That’s good.” He said to the last punch thrown. “You’ll do well.” A class, or classes, would help even more but for no training and being a preteen he would do fine - might be a shock to the other side.
“I’ll find someone else to help as well. Different styles leave you unable to predict - at least easily.” He said this with a nodding of his head. It would be easy to help him learn from others, he just needed to find others who knew how to fight and better than he did.
“You can help me by doing your best...and getting to Super. That’ll help us both. You’ll make an even better partner than.” Not that he wouldn’t make a good partner now, though he really thought the gaining in rank and power would help more. “Don’t want you being an easy target for the other side.” He didn’t want to see a chibi hurt, much less killed, by the other side.
“You sure you’re not tired? Or due home?” He asked, unsure. He didn’t know when the other was due home or how much sleep he’d need, and he did explain this after a moment.
Doing his best? Cake. He was up to that kind of task any day; it felt like a challenge, and he always liked that kind of thing. Grinning, he threw another punch or two as Chaldene continued to explain. "I'm a speedy little twerp, according to my cousin," he said, soon enough stopping and dropping his fists. "If I put my head to it, though, I'll be a harder target like you say. I wanna get stronger so I can help, too!"
Urda glanced toward the moon, noting its position in the sky and trying to remember where it was when he ran out of the house. Nodding at Chaldene's last question, he finally pointed in the direction of his home. "It's a little late now, I guess. There's always next time, anyway. My house is that way! It's far, but we can talk and stuff if you wanna come?"
“I”m sure you will then. You seem dedicated to doing so.” He stated firmly. He was sure the chibi would indeed become stronger and would be a good senshi. If Urda was trained by others, as well as himself, and took professional lessons the chibi senshi would certainly be trouble for the negaverse and it’s officers to handle. He sure seemed dedicated.
“Alright, then lets head you home and we’ll meet up again soon. You’ve got my number so you can call me.” He said with a smile at the little one. “Come, show me the way and I’ll follow.”
It was always great when he met an adult that gave him their approval; it wasn't necessarily rare for him, but more recently it started to seem like it was harder and harder to get a thumbs up from his parents and teachers.
At the older senshi's words Urda started walking toward his house with grand ideas of becoming a black belt in some martial arts or another, egged on by Chaldene's words of encouragement. Maybe more than one? Who knew! He didn't, but he didn't waste any time in rambling about what other options there were besides karate.
