Hobbies:Menial Tasks - Curiously, for all her issues with authority and control, Maxine doesn't mind doing busy work so much. While she's not always neat, she is quite thorough when she does clean up and doesn't even complain about the work, a phenomenon that bewilders just about everyone at St. Mags. Though she's not quite as strong as she thinks she is, she's more than happy to help move things from place to place. The little tasks keep her occupied and help her take her mind off anything troubling that might have slipped past her thick mental barriers.
Cooking - It may seem like an oddly domestic hobby for a rough girl like Maxine, but she is enjoying learning how to cook and is extremely exacting when it comes to following recipes. She won't even leave the kitchen while the timer is running in order to ensure that everything comes out absolutely perfect. Distract her when the egg timer is running at your own risk.
Thrill-seeking: Maxine loves anything that will get her blood pumping. Roller coasters, loud concerts, flirtations with danger... if it results in an adrenaline rush, she's going to seek it out. She wants to go bungee jumping someday.
Virtues:Comedic - When Maxine manages to not offend everyone in the room, she can actually be remarkably funny. She has an excellent sense of comedic timing and a working knowledge of how to build a refreshing punchline. It's entirely possible that she's a budding satirist under all the crudity and button-pushing.
Zealous - When Maxine finds a cause she agrees with, she will rally behind it 100%. She'll devote as much energy as she can to supporting it in whatever ways she can think of. Once she gets started on something, it is very, very hard to shake her off. She'll throw herself at a task over and over until it gets done and until she gets the results she wants. She'll attend meetings, prepare advertisements, even preach the tenets of the cause to anyone who'll listen (but you can bet she'll have choice words for those who won't). If she likes you, she will stand by you through thick and thin... or at least, till you do something unforgivable that makes her want to ditch your cause and you.
Brave - Sometimes it seems that Maxine knows no fear, and in most cases that's true. She seems to possess a special type of courage (or, depending on how you look at it, recklessness) that allows her to plunge forward with no restraints. What may give others pause is an invitation to charge straight ahead for her.
Flaws:Angry - Maxine is angry. So, so, SO angry. She has a hair-trigger temper and jumps into fight-or-flight mode at the drop of a hat. The chip on her shoulder is massive and ancient, and every grudge she finds to hold just adds to it like a horrible ball of bitterness. It's very easy to get her mad at you, even over trivial things. Even if she likes you she'll abuse you every once in a while.
Vulgar - Decorum? Manners? Polite language? Who needs those? Maxine is brutally crude, letting the f- and s-bombs fly left and right. Her sense of humor is also kind of gross (a certain joke about the unfortunate fate of a promiscuous amputee girl is a favorite of hers- if you don't know the full text, good). It doesn't help that if she thinks it, she's gonna say it. It doesn't matter how inappropriate the joke is or how many people she's going to offend. Heck, she takes a certain delight in offending entire groups of people. While sometimes she'll hit upon a sentiment that everyone agrees with but never voiced for courtesy reasons, most of the time what she has to say is just a salvo of bitter nastiness or is horribly unfitting for the situation.
Violent - Maxine has been socking people for perceived slights as long as she can remember. She has zero qualms about slapping people for acting in ways she disapproves, or even for the sake of what she thinks would be a slapstick comedy-style situation. Smacking sense into someone is always the way to go for her. Always. If her fists or a solid bout of hollering doesn't fix the situation, she'll get stuck.
