●●●Brief Description of AppearanceSweet lord its really easier to just look at the pictures at the bottom BUT:
FLUFFY HAIR, cut uneven on the sides, as in like, blunt sideburns but everything else is kinda fluffy? he's got a braid that reaches mid back, usually placed over the shoulder. But his hair doesn't just smoothly go into the braid-- please look at the picture idk how to describe hair :C
FRECKLES!! Brown skin- purple hair and eyes, teal-blue horns and he paints his nails blue. Fur color is up for debate! I have pink down in the ref image because I thought it looked p okay. u w u (Demon tail ending in a fluffball, yeah??)
He will have demon arms! His Imp features are his ears, horns, and fluffy tail tip. demon features are lack of fluff and tail.
EYYYY POLYVORE OUTFIT IDEAS -- ultimately CC on that tho except in at least one stage he MUST have a flower crown. it just needs to happen.

About Korvau ●●●PersonalityFirst thing to note about Korvau is that he gets his height from his imp genes. The kid is short. Really short. Like, barely 4'9" short as a Freshling. He's absolutely convinced he'll hit a growth spurt and end up really tall- he wants to be "huuuuge" when he grows up. Korv is a sporty kid, with a lot of energy and not enough time to spend it in. He bounces from activity to activity with barely any rest time in between, often times leaving a mess in his wake. He doesn't realize he's being a nuisance, honest! Of course, if someone told him he'd be very remorseful and spend the next few hours trying to make up for it.
Korv is a ball of sunshine most of the time, but like any kid, he's got his worries. Namely, whether or not he's well liked by his peers. Korvau is very concerned with what others think of him. He wants them all to like him! He cannot stand knowing someone doesn't, and will often do anything to gain favor from people he's unsure about. This doesn't always turn out well for him, especially if he's latched onto someone who doesn't have his best interests in mind. If someone blatantly says they don't want to associate with him at all, he'll avoid them from that point onward. It'll tear him up for a while, but if he can manage to keep them out of sight they'll eventually be out of mind... unless someone brings it up. He'll not-so-subtly change the subject at that point.
When he's not attempting to gain the favor of his peers, he's probably avoiding his schoolwork. He chose Eldritch because he liked the color purple. Unfortunately, he does not like the focus on old stuff. Or... people's heads. Its confusing and he doesn't like to think too hard about himself. Or others. He tried hanging around Arkham, those kids seem to match his vibe a little more, but Korv is no artist. He didn't even bother with Enoch, science is his worst subject.
All in all he's feeling a little lost when it comes to academics. Socializing is one thing. School work is an entirely different beast. Why can't he just major in swimming?
●●●LikesAttention, positive feedback, swimming, physical affection, seafood, animals (especially sea life!), purple and blue!!, breakfast. just. breakfast in general.●●●DislikesBeing ignored, negative feedback, being criticized, responsibilities, homework, being asked what he wants to do when he grows up..................●●●StrengthsOptimistic, unusually so. Sometimes its hard to believe he's actually happy, but Korv rarely displays negative emotions. He's always got a silver lining to offer up in just about any situation. Looking on the bright side is his specialty.
Loyal, perhaps detrimentally so, but Korvau is incredibly loyal to his friend/family group. He'll do anything for them. Literally. Just say the word and he'll be there, whether it be for a shoulder to cry on or a playmate to have fun with. Although, if he's asked to do something impossible, he'll probably just shut down. Being unable to fulfill a desire for someone close to him is like, a worst fear. If he thinks maybe he can get someone else to do it, he might suggest they go to them instead. (but still feel incredibly guilty about now being able to help them.)
Adventurous, I mean, the kid hardly sits still. He's always into something. He's prone to wandering off out of the supervision of his caretakers because he saw something interesting off in the distance.
Friendly, so, so friendly. Bad attitudes are not a deterrent, it's almost like the more negative someone is, the more determined he is to get them to like him...... Korvau will make friends with just about anyone that'll give him the time of day (sometimes even if they won't....)
●●●WeaknessesDependent, oh boy is he dependent. Korvau needs constant approval. Usually he latches onto one person in particular and is glued to their side until they can't stand it anymore. This is an ongoing problem in his life, but he hasn't quite realized it yet.
Doormat, painfully so. It's not hard to take advantage of his kindness. Since his definition of "friend" is so loose, Korv is prone to giving up just about anything and everything to just about anyone who asks for it. This is especially bad around people he's gotten a crush on. He'd give them the shirt off his back on a sunny day with no sunblock if they asked, even if they were wearing a shirt of their own.......
Sensitive, soooo sensitive. While is definitely IS optimistic, when he crashes, he crashes hard. Korv is incredibly sensitive to criticism and being ignored, it crushes his spirit like nothing else.
Hedonistic, which fits with the rest of him, really. Korvau does most things because they're fun. If it's not fun, he doesn't want to do it. Unfortunately, homework is not fun.
Oblivious, going hand-in-hand with being a doormat, Korvau is oblivious to when it actually happens. He places a lot of trust in everyone he meets, so even when he's being treated poorly he doesn't quite catch on until someone else points it out. Though his obliviousness also extends to personal space bubbles of other Nightmares, how loud he's being, how messy he's being, and what time it is.
●●●HobbiesSwimming, honestly this kid is a fish out of water. If it were possible, he'd just live on the nearest large body of water forever. He especially loves the ocean.
Sports, swimming is a sport, yes, but that's his Very Favorite. The others are okay too. He mostly likes running sports, track, relay races, etc.. He's not so much a fan of the sports that require lots of strength or size since he's so small... but he does try to work out to build muscle! (at least when he's older.)
Socializing, he's definitely a social butterfly. If he's not running around, or asleep, he's talking to someone. Korvau definitely gets his energy from other people, even the grumpy ones.
Cooking, sort of. He's a kid so he's not that good at it, but he LOVES breakfast foods. Loves them. Pancakes, bacon, eggs... But more so than that, he wants to learn how to make sea food! Fish are his favorite both alive and... dead. Good job, Korv.

Backstory
While Korvau is indeed an orphan, he's not an orphan from the cache. Honestly he was too young to really remember much of his parents when they handed him over, but he knows that they turned him over primarily because they didn't - or couldn't - want to raise him themselves. In fact, out of all the vague memories he does have about them, the day he was handed over to the Academy is the one he remembers the clearest.
Despite having a happy life at the Academy, that lingering reality of having been handed over due to being "unwanted" still hangs in the back of his mind. He tries extra hard to make sure those around him see him as valuable, someone they won't cast aside. Since he's so little still, that usually just means being a source of entertainment for others. As he grows older, unless he tackles that fear of abandonment, he'll progressively continue to give more and more of himself away to those around him.
Korvau is very affectionate, being grouped with so many people is ideal for him. Unfortunately his love of people detracts from his academics. He'd much rather chat up his classmates than pay attention in class. The only place he really seems to pay attention is in physical education classes.
In the future...
As he grows older, Korvau will have to find his place in the world. He's the adventurous type that just wants to see the world, but not really do anything other than enjoy it. He will have to learn that responsibilities really aren't the end of the world.
If he doesn't find his place by the end of his time at the Academy, he may not continue on to university at all...that is, unless someone strongly suggests that he should.
Along with figuring out his place in the world, he'll have to battle with his urge to please those around him, and learn that it's okay to take care of himself first sometimes.
What he really needs is a mentor to point him in the right direction.

RP Prompt Prompt Three Your Nightmare has to write an essay on what they want to be when they grow up. Do they procrastinate, or get to work immediately? What is their essay about?
[i'm playing with using present/future tense in this prompt]
He stares at the paper in front of him. Of course the teacher had to assign a question about what he wants to be in the future... this was probably the very last question he ever wanted to answer. He's still little, isn't he? He shouldn't have to think about this right now.
He does try for a little while, though. He soon gives up when all he can think about is the fact that he doesn't know what he wants to be. He's never had something that seemed particularly interesting, at least, not enough to want to do it for the rest of forever. Grown-ups always talk about the thing you want to be like it's the only thing you'll ever be.
Frustrated, he slides off of his desk chair and leaves the room to go play. He'll deal with it later. For now, he'd like to go see if he can beat his race to the farthest tree record... the assignment isn't due until tomorrow, anyway!
Once outside he spends a few hours running around, burning off energy, playing tag with some friends.. which then leads to storytelling inside, followed up with the nightly bedtime rituals. Finally worn out from all of the activity, he crawls into bed that night and falls asleep without a care in the world...
The next morning he wakes with a start. Oh no. That essay is due today. He slides out of bed and scrambles over to his desk, then picks up a pencil to write with. It'll be terrible, but honestly, can he be blamed?
"I don't know what I want to be when I grow up! It's really far away! What if I pick something and then I don't like it anymore? I don't want to be stuck doing one thing forever, that's boring!! I just want to swim and have fun with my friends."
There. That counts, right? He shrugs, then slides off of his hair to get dressed quickly. He almost forgets the assignment in his rush out the door to get to class on time..

CRIT INCOMINGFIRST OFF, omfg what a sweet babbu with freckles, I love the art. Your description and appearance is perfect so nothing to worry about there! As soon as you have a set outfit, please put it down there for him too! His personality looks great! I can relate personally to him because I have the same worries about people not liking me. orz But otherwise poor Korvau! I hope he can find somewhere he fits well in! I am mildly disappointed that purple is not one of his likes. If you would like to expand on some of his traits a little bit more, what would happen if a family member/friend asked him to do something that was impossible for him to do? He's still loyal, but how would he react? And what if someone makes it clear they don't want to be friends with him or talk? I'd love to see how he reacts, but this is completely optional! If you could expand on his hobbies too, I'd love to hear about them! What does he like to cook? What other sports does he like? His backstory is also great! Nothing needs to be fixed here! In your prompt there's a tiny typo! You probably wanted to say "oh no" instead of "oh on". Otherwise it's great! I'm really bad at writing in future tense, but you did a great job! So just that tiny typo and a little expanding and he'll be ready to go! You're so close! Quote me when you've finished!
