With all her eggs in a bunch and very much counted (one-two-three-jack damnit stop nearly breaking on her), Piper was ready to try and move on from the harrying series of quests. The dump in the waterfall had not been the most pleasant shower she'd taken, and while she had air-dried herself and attempted as best she could to hand comb her hair back to some semblance of decency (the humidity now making it poof and curl more than ever, to her great dismay), the ghoul was not in the highest of spirits as she made her way through the village. What was next on her hellish to-do list?
Wrangle those really big minipets, apparently.
She listened to the villager's increasingly strange instructions on how to find one and winced a smile in their direction, bobbing her head every so often to appear normal. So go out in the mists on her own, and with only her wits about her basically grab a minipet--a much larger and probably way too aggressive for her tastes minipet--and then somehow bring it back to the stable here. Jacking hell...
Taking a deep breath, Piper grabbed some rope, fixed her hair for the eleventh time, and then strode off into the thick fog, complaining to herself to try and make the isolation seem less intimidating. She didn't know how long she wandered out there trying to find something, but eventually she started being less afraid and more pissed off. Swinging the noose around, she eventually picked up the speed and all but ran into her first target.
She didn't bother looking really before she wrangled the damn thing. Damn thing turned out to be a tiger. Badass AW YEAH.

Well, that was surprisingly easy. The tiger didn't seem intent on nibbling her gibblets immediately, so that too was a little surprising. What wasn't so surprising, however, was the fact that the thing was really hard to move. It didn't want to budge when she tugged the reigns; in fact, it seemed quite intent on ignoring her for daring to give it this sort of injustice.
"Okay, you," she told it sternly. "I need to get my shiny things, like, right now. You're a tiger, yeah yeah, I get it. Stables aren't your thing. Too bad, princess."
In an impulsive moment to seize control, Piper leapt onto the tiger--and the once impassive creature immediately began to snarl and try to buck her off. Not much distance was gained towards her quest, but it was distance all the same.

Jeez, how did cowboils and cowghouls do it? Piper was a ghoul that was in shape, thank you very much, but this wild creature nearly threw her off every other time it sharply turned. Her legs and arms were quickly starting to feel sore, and her head was getting rattled way too much. Growling right back at it, she grabbed at the reigns and yanked them back like the tiger was a horse, completely inept at the riding skill but very, very skilled when it came to being a pain in the a** for something--and a bossy pain in the a** to boot.
"HEEL!" she commanded. It...didn't quite do that but tried to buck her off again by standing on its hindlegs.
Unfortunately, it just got them both tipped over on their backs. That would make it two for two on Times Piper Got Smacked On The Ground, or three for three counting the big dragon thing earlier. Man, these things were a work out.

She felt like she was starting to get the hang of it, however. The tiger wasn't really so much responding to her orders than it was trying to avoid getting yanked around, which...was sort of like horseback riding, right? Eventually she got it to stay on a somewhat straight path and felt rather accomplished with herself.
Man, wait til the boils heard about this one!

Heck yeah, this was awesome. She might or might not have tried to document the ride with her skeyllphone. Too bad the film was a bit grainy and hard to see thanks to all the miasma...

"Here we go, princess, the final stretch!" she told her temporary mount gleefully. And maybe the tiger sensed weakness in that because it then hit a complete stop and threw her off.
Cue quite a few minutes spent retracking it back down and returning to the dragging portion of the trip. And now Piper was one mad ghoul.

And it wouldn't like Piper when she was angry, as evidenced by the fact that despite its most stubborn protests, the reaper dragged its furry behind all the way to the stable without a single look back. The moment the stable locked behind it, Piper stomped right the heck out and also didn't look back. Screw these apex things.
