Quote:
Your character has been invited by a villager to harvest on top of the remote glacier infringing on the northern outskirts of the village. What an honour!

- The walk is very steep and treacherous. You are allowed to harvest as much as you'd like until you slip and fall down the glacier all the way back to town (must remake thread). This quest is only considered completed if you get the rare machalite ore.

Roll 1d6 and continue rolling until you slip and fall back to town OR get the machalite ore. Really, whatever comes first. Make sure to rp it out.

1. You spot some beautiful crystal fragments. You manage to get the machalite ore!
2. You get distracted by a pile of bones and gather some bone fragments that are ultimately useless because you're not a gunner
3. You get distracted by some honey. It is delicious.
4. You get distracted by a pile of herbs. You pick some herbs and ask the villager what they are. He says "herbs". They are barely edible.
5. You accidentally slip and fall back to town! Oh no! (Quest fail!)
6. You find a great spot to fish but you didn't bring your fishing rod.

The gancanagh had never been around much when it was very icy, so he considered it a great honor when he was approached by a villager and asked to look for a sort of ore called the malachite ore. He listened to teh tale of how it was a are ite and how it was needed by some villagers for certain things, but never really got a clear explanation of it other than the fact that it was highly prized.

Setting out for the glacier, Marosa made sure that his sleeves were down and his skin was covered for an entirely different reason than he'd worried about in his first year - he remembered that with mixed feelings and memories. Being a gancanagh, he'd been so afraid of touching others and making them angry, or even making them a shadow of their former selves.

It had been a real concern.

But, thanks to his current loves, he was more than happy that they worked through it together, despite the many... mishaps and misadventures tehy'd had together. A smile tugged at his lips as he coughed out a laugh, shaking his head. The ice crunched under his feet and he felt the cold, shivering a small bit but rubbing his arms through the sleeves on his shirt. The little bit of warmth was welcome, but quickly ebbed away as soon as it was administered, making it rather pointless to try to add heat at all.

The walk was short and Marosa stared around as he was on top of the glacier, taking in the many shades of blue and white that were present in the large chunk of ice. It was mesmerizingly beautiful, and he couldn't help but smile and wish that the others were here with him.

He sighed, frowning at that particular line of thought. No, he couldn't think about that onw. He had to ook for the ore that the villager trusted him with.

Biting his lip, he had a feeling that the ore was green, even though he'd never personally seen it before. Laid out in front of him was an array of crystals that were very very pretty, ones of all shapes and sizes that seemed to be growing from the iceberg themselves, though he couldn't place why the villager wanted only one and not the others. Didn't these have some meaning as well, or some use, for that matter?

After admiring the crystals, Marosa thought he saw a flash of green out of the corner of his eyes, and moved to follow it, walking into a slight open cavern where there was a whole array of malachite orbs just free for the taking.

Marosa had only come for one.

Kneeling down to pry one of the more open ones loose, it didn't take much before he wrenched it from the crystal, cradling it very gently as he kept a careful step in returning to the villager that had approached him earlier.

The villager looked like she was about to cry as he handed it over, tackling him in a hug and thanking him profusely over and over again, making the faerie rather embarrassed. He gently pushed her off and patted her head, watching as she crooned over the ore like it was a wee bairn.

It was apparent that she was in love with her gems, and not much of anything else. Rubbing the back of his neck, Marosa let out a long breath as he realized that it would behoove him to take a much needed break...

He tried to think of something that would be relaxing. Perhaps fishing...?
