 Hello, students. As you older students know, it's time to choose house representatives. Ordinarily the Headmaster handles this, but the Committee felt it necessary to oversee the selection process.
The house representative, or the head of house, is an older student that represents their house at important staff meetings and is responsible for their house's overall wellbeing.
House representatives have the following responsibilities:
Attending meetings with the Headmaster and other representatives to determine house needs
Submitting proposals for the house event at the beginning of the year
Tending to house needs (grocery lists, toiletries, bedsheets, etc)
Assisting new students in getting assimilated into the academy
Ensuring housemates follow the rules and are in the dorms by curfew
Communicating with the Headmaster and CEE about any concerns that arise
Assisting the school in case of emergency
You may either nominate someone in your own house or nominate yourself. Please quote the nominated party if you are nominating another person so they can accept the nomination. Nominated students can only be voted for if they accept the nomination.
Please note that eligible candidates cannot have any standing detentions and must be able to remain at the school until the final ceremony at the end of the year.
The rules for nomination are as follows:
The nominated party must be a third year and up.
You cannot nominate someone outside of your house.
Bribery of any sort is prohibited.
Slander of other candidates of any sort is prohibited.
All other forms of campaigning are accepted.
Please put your nominations below. Voting will take place next week. The results will be announced at the opening ceremony.

Well, Shanta sure as hell wasn't going to be able to run. She had too many detentions racked up and wasn't interested in changing that anytime soon. That only left one person, and he already did the job anyway.
So Shanta took the pen, scribbled End Nejem for Janus on the parchment, and went on her merry troublesome way.

  OOC: -childish fart noise-End was expecting his name up on the parchment but... there was a problem with what Shanta had written. He carefully crossed out the 'Nejem' after his name. Not that he was embarrassed by it- not at all, actually! -just that he didn't think he was officially part of the Nejem family just because of an impromptu wedding two years ago that wasn't officiated by someone with the qualifications to do so, but instead by a 17 year old. He was pretty sure that the school wouldn't recognise that.
But other than that, End was completely happy with accepting the nomination.

Nina stopped by the notice, staring at the names scribbled along the bottom, chuckling that Ian and Yvonne were both nominated in their respective houses (amusing the thought of them being representatives together) She also stood there and pondered for a solid 5 minutes before also writing down her own name, feeling that if she had that tiny position of influence, maybe things could go better for her and everyone else this year, though it wouldn't be bad if Ian won, he had his mind in the right place too.

Yvonne passed by the board, but stopped at seeing her own name. A house representative? She considered the responsibilities.
Helping others was something she enjoyed, even if the idea of meetings with the Council unnerved her. It still set her on edge, thinking about the things they'd done. Still, it was a chance to have a hand in making things as good as they could possibly be for her classmates. She smiled and moved her hand across the paper.
Yvonne Lorendi accepts her nomination.
Besides. She'd already decided the second she'd seen the names of Scarlett and Ian.

How interesting. It appears we have two candidates for Ekaterina. Very well.
All Ekaterina students, bar the candidates, are required to vote for their preferred candidate. Please send the following form to the Headmaster's Office by September 6th:
