The village is running low on food and it is up to you to find some steaks and cook them for the village. You are granted exactly one portable spit though you will have to do the hunting yourself.
Right in the outskirts of the village are EVIL HAND TURKEYS. They have 10 HP each, which your character will have to defeat in normal battle combat style (attack with the dice mechanics of your current character until it hits 0 HP). They do -2 auto damage to you every time you hit it. When you have defeated a turkey, you can carve from it, a turkey steak.
Roll 1d10 to cook your steak. If you roll 1-5 your steak is raw, if you roll 6-8 your steak is perfect, if you roll 9-10 you steak is unedible. Only RAW and perfect steaks are allowed.
gaia_star If you acquire a perfect steak, it is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list.

Conversing with the villagers had been utterly unhelpful. First they taunted her with the promise of food, and then they PRETENDED to catch food to mock her more. She was so beary grumpy at them. So so grumpy.
Deciding to do something more productive with her time, Maddie decided to do something else. It wasn't like she WANTED to help the villagers after what had happened, but... well, it was food. She wanted to smack some things around, and she was actually promised food this time. They'd better keep their promise this time or else she'd have fresh villagers for a snack. Not that... she'd actually be able to eat them. They probably tasted terrible.
Well, at least she didn't have to worry about eating villagers, because not long after she ventured out, she ran into... a rather hideous turkey. Oh well, it was what was on the inside that counted, right? Ugly turkey still meant turkey meat!
With a grin, she swipped at the angry-looking turkey. She was going to get that meat if it was the last thing she did!

They turkey pecked at her, making Maddie grumpy, and she swiped at it again. No bird was going to make a fool out of her! She was going to slaughter and roast this turkey, and it would be the most delicious turkey ever, because anger was an awesome flavour, like spiciness. Maddie liked spicy stuff.
Hmm, she wondered if the villagers had spices. Roasting meat was great and all, but raw was usually the best. The absolute worst was overcooking it, because really, that was like eating rubber. Stinky rubber. Maddie did not enjoy sinking her teeth into inedible things, and burnt meat was an absolute travesty. It was inedible AND a waste of food! The worst crime ever.

Turkey meat, turkey meat~ Maddie could almost taste the scrumptious meat. SO much better than putting up with apathetic villagers. Distracted with the thought of sinking her teeth into some food, the turkey attacked, sending Maddie toppling over.
"OW!" How dare that turkey hit her! It was ok if she hit the turkey, but for the turkey to hit her back... the AUDACITY. THAT WAS NOT ALLOWED. She was going to make that turkey pay.... with its life!

No dumb turkey was making a fool out of her! Maddie launched herself at the turkey.
It gobbled and tried to scramble away, but Maddie managed to smack its butt. It made the turkey angry. ... why did she smack its butt? THAT WAS DUMB. SHE DIDN'T WANT TO TOUCH TURKEY BUTT GROSS. Then again, maybe it was better than biting its butt. BUTTS WERE GROSS. Maddie wiped her sleeve on the ground.

Maddie huffed, and planted her hands on her hips. Alright, she wasn't going to mess up this time!
Taking time to actually make sure she didn't burn the meat to a crisp again, Maddie produced a nice juicy piece of meat on a stick. Yay! Munching happily on the piece she was allowed to keep, Maddie went on her merry way.
