Black and orange fur moved through long brown and green grass. Grass that had long ago been bleached by the pounding sun. The same sun that was making Korou so hot right now.
Stupid sun, it was spiteing him, making it so hot out that his black fur made him sweat. Not to mention his limping on his busted leg. Where was there cold?
Water?
No, probably not anymore. There were always crowds at watering holes during the day. That and crocodiles that liked to sun themselves... and eat cheetahs... and other small cubs.
Shaking his dark head, the cheetah limped off in a new direction. Away from any watering hole... away from any danger.
Then a noise caught his ears and he jerked in panick. It was probably something stupid...something small. But it was loud.

Hinotama woke up from a little nap he had taken in the highgrass, it was such a good hiding place from all the danger. He sat up and streched out his body and yawned then he started to groom himself a little he hated when his fur got all dirty but his fur was a so light so his fur attracted dirt but it was a good protection from the sun.
Then he peeked out from the grass and looked around with his purple curious eyes. Then he tilted his ears back...he tought he did hear something but what was it? then e large Zebra put one off her feets right on Hinotama's tail! He jumped up in the air and made a upset kitty noice, the Zebra got scared too she didn't know there was a cheetah in the grass and they both panic. Hinotama jumped out off the grass and landed on something soft " Uff! "(( poor Korou is now flat ><;;; ))

Korou was flattened. Not just flattenend, flattened. The body that had crushed his to the ground even further wasn't much bigger than his own. And the tail in front of him was... white. Was this a lion?
Wait... was it a lion? Panic and a sudden bout of rage hit him in the stomach and he scrambled up and flipped around to find... a cheetah. A cheetah with a weird looking coat of fur. He had absolutely no spots whatsoever and a large yellow star in the center of his forehead. His little ridge of furn on his head and neck was rainbow colored, and the tips of his paws were white.
Weird.
Yet at the same time Korou realized that his fur was strange too. Not normal by any standards at all, since it was black, orange, and white. So he couldn't say much. Just:
"Hello?"

" Mrrrr " his head was spinning and he tried concentrate his eyes...what did he landed on? then he saw 2 cheetahs no wait there was just one not bigger then himself and he was well so dark.
Then he realized that he had probably landed on him so embarrasing " Oh hallo...i am s...sorry that landed on you a zebra stepped on my tail and that doesn't feel good belive me " he looked back at his tail and start to lick it, it was not broken just a little red but it hurt a lot.
" Why are you starring at me like that? do i have something in my face? "

"Well... yeah. You have a star on it... and you have no spots!" Korou's tail twitched slightly and he sat back down. This cheetah didn't seem too bad, just a little strange.
And very blunt.
"I understand. I don't like zebras actually. Heh. I don't know why."
He looked around to see if he could spot the zebra that had stepped on the cheetah in front of him, but he couldn't see it anywhere. No herd, nothing. But if this cheetah said it happened then it must have.
"I'm Korou. What's your name?"

" Um well i am born like this so well maybe my spots are so light that you can see them " he smiled but he actually tought maybe he cleaned them off himself or maybe they haven't been showing yet. He continued to lick his tail.
" Zebras isn't really that bad but this one stepped on my tail...but i think it is gone now she got probably more scared then me " he bite his lowerlip and looked at Korou that he said his name was.
" Oh well i am Hinotama nice to meet ya " he waved his tail a little to show affection but not to much then it would hurt.

"More scared then you? Hmmmmm... well I guess it could be true. But they can doll out some damage with those hooves of theirs when they want to." Korou let out a laugh and sat down to watch the white and colored cheetah clean himself.
"Do you like to be that clean? I mean, with fur like that, you'll just get dirty again in a matter of hours. And Hinotama is a cool name!" His tail waved about hyperly.
Had he made a new friend?

" Yes i am a cheetah remember heh zebras don't like us but there hooves hurt yes " he still didn't look alright according to him but he stopped licking himself after a little while.
" Hm well i hate when my fur get dirty but it always is " he sighs and looks at Korou " Thanks i like my name too it meens fallenstar if i remember right " then he decided to move closer to the other cheetah he sniffed a little on him with his light nose.

"I like to be clean, but i guess if it isn't white then it doesn't show up too great on my fur. My fur's so dark that it's hard to see mudd on it even." Korou said motioning to his own body full of orange and black fur. Even the gouge on his left front leg that was still sorta bleeding didn't show up that well.
When he was sniffed his first reaction was to back away but instead he sniffed back. He didn't want Hinotama to think he was rude. And he supposed it was customary when you met another cheetah, he didn't know. It had been awhile.

" Who doesn't like to be clean but i guess you have it a little easier your dirt wont show that easily " Hinotama actually looks a little jelous but he was ok he was born like this.
He looked at Korou the unfamiliar cheetah who still seemed a little shy or mabe just not use to strangers...then he noticed his wound " Oh my! what have you done? " he looked worried and tried to get a better look a the wound.

Korou blushed furiously. He hadn't meant to get that wound. That lion had done it to him.
"I got in a fight with a lion. He got my eye and my leg. Heh. It's not that bad really, I'm just blind in that eye and can't really walk that well right now."
Lifting his small leg, he let Hinotama take a look at it without much of a fuss.

Hinotama raised one off his eyebrowns and looked at the male " You don't have to be embarrased i got my tail hurt by a zebra and you survied a lion that is much cooler then me " he pouted his lips and looked at Korou's wound again.
" You should really take care off it or else it can get really bad. So what are you up too? "

"Well, I guess when you put it that way..." Korou trailed off and peered down at his leg. Could losing his friend and the sight in one eye be considered cool? or was it the fact that he was even there at all.
"Yeah, my friend Zakiya was taking care of it for me, but I lost her somehow. I'm looking for her again."

" No wounds are good they could get bigger and hurt even more if you don't clean them " he smiled a little and waved his tail back and fourth it seemed that it didn't hurt as much as before now.
" Oh so she is not your mom? i actually don't know where my mom is or if i ever had one but i must have because or else i wouldn't have been born right? " Tama was not stupid he knew he came from his mother but he didn't know where babies come from ><;

"No, wounds aren't fun at all. It hurts a lot. As for Zakiya, she just sort of adopted me. She's really nice. My family was killed in a monsoon not long ago." Korou nodded his head and looked off east.
"You know? You should follow me and meet up with Zakiya. She's really nice." With that he walked up to the other cheetah cub and sniffed him. "Yeah, if you do'nt have a family and can't remember them then she'd take you in I know it."
A smile crossed his face and he nodded knowingly.
