There's word here of some oversized minipets that need your help wrangling them to the stables. It's up to you to try your best! If you get a few back in, you might even be rewarded for your time!
Step 1: Go out and find the pet. Out in the wide open fog, where there is only fog and then fog, there are sometimes the shapes of minipets. Roll 1d6 to see what you have to wrangle. All apex pets are 6 feet in height.
1. A basilisk - 1d6 2. A goat - 1d8 3. A wolf - 1d10 4. A spider -1d6 5. A tiger - 1d8 6. Turtle - 1d4
The pet must be carried 30 feet. You must INDIVIDUALLY ROLL seperate dice rolls as you goad the pet by dragging it along its reins. The dice you roll for it is the distance it travels. For example, if you roll a goat, you get to roll separate dice rolls of 1d8 until you cumulatively get 30 feet.
If you roll a 1 at any point the pet will run away! The only way to get it back is if you have the basilisk eye item, that will lock it into place.
gaia_star If you and your team successfully defeat it, you get paid a old saddle. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list

Having the basilisk eye in her grasp, Sayael grinned to herself as she approached the mist, eyeing it carefully as she sought out her target. She'd heard tale of large beasts that resembled minipets, and she couldn't wait to get her hands on one and attempt to take it home.
If she could take it home. She'd most certainly try.
The mist parted, revealing a large wolflike creature. It snarled at her in a quiet manner, and she slowed her pace, opening her hands as she kept approaching it.
The beast sniffed at her hands, then looked away almost in disdain.

The wolflike beast was of a good size, standing 6 feet in height and the faerie couldn't help but run her fingers over its fur, admiring the quality of it despite its menacing gesture.
Strangely enough, it had reigns around its muzzle and neck, so that meant that it used to be owned, right? Humming quietly, she glanced around at it before determining that the wolflike critter was a he, and decided to try to goad them along towards where she figured he came from.
It balked and she quickly fished out the basilisk eye, staring it down as it seemed to huddle in fear from it, relenting a step.
But only one.

Attempting to goad the wolf further, she stretched on her toes to pat it lightly on the back, making it step a few more feet. Perhaps with a little bit more care, she could actually convince it to go with her all the way, but it would take a little coaxing, and more than a little patience.
As long as she had the basilisk eye, she was fine. Silently, she was more than thankful that she had had help in that particular endeavor, as getting the basilisk eye by herself proved more than troublesome.

The wolf moved very slowly, as if he was thinking before putting each paw before the other. He glanced at her a few times as if asking What are you doing?, but nonetheless moved as bidden, directed by her careful and cautious hand.

Ears perking forward, the wolf lunged from her, and Sayael nearly fell over in a scramble to hold the reigns again, surprised by his sudden energy. It was almost like he'd heard something in the distance and was excited to see it again, but for the life of her she had no idea what it was.
She wasn't entirely sure she wanted to know, either.
Wrapping the leash around her hand and wrist, she made sure to keep a good hold on the thing so that if it took off again, she'd be with it. She'd go along for the ride, as well, but he wouldn't get away.

The wolf's pace slowed but remained steady, and Sayael easily matched her pace to match his. Again, she found herself admiring his fur - black and sleek, with ears that were attentive as they twitched back and forth, and a huge fluffy tail that she just wanted to wrap around in and sleep.
He would make a great pillow. A big, fluffy, warm, breathing pillow.
Yes. She could get on board with this.

Ears perking forward again, it launched forward and Sayael barely had enough time to swing herself onto the wolf's back, grabbing onto fistfuls of fur as she felt the wind rush past her.
Unable to keep from grinning, she pressed herself close to the wolf's back and enjoyed the ride, making sure to keep a tight grip.

The wolf stopped as soon as it got to the stables, and Sayael slid off with ease, watching as he padded into a stall. He turned around himself three times before he laid down with a last glance to her, seeming almost to smile and drift to sleep, an ear cocked back haphazardly.
She felt very pleased with herself, and was surprised to see a villager when she turned, holding out an old saddle.
"Uh... thank ye?" Confused but not at all put out, she accepted the gift as the villager bowed, and she awkwardly curtsied in return.
The villagers were a bit strange, but Sayael found that she could get used to them, and wondered if there was a possible way to come back to the island at all, once they left.
Musing on this, she moved to another area, wondering what other errands needed to be done.
