Lasarra knew that she was pregnant. She had had a feeling that she was for a while, but now she was really sure. She had gone to some of the older Earthlings in the village and talked to them about her symptoms. They told her that it was guaranteed that she was, and that coupled with all the signals that her body was giving her made her sure. She was even starting to gain a little weight. Now all she had to do was tell her husband. But how? She wanted to surprise him, but there was a chance that he already knew. Or he could at least have some sort of idea. He might have noticed that she was sick most mornings and that she got up to go to the bathroom more often then usual. Still, even if he knew he hadn't said anything to her yet which meant she could still tell him.
Lasarra sat at the table in their kitchen, proud to be in their own house, preparing some meat for dinner. She figured sooner or later he would have to walk through the kitchen and she could surprise him with the news then.

a pet dino we finish this and babies get posted 8D Rayolun was a bit worried about Lasarra; she kept waking up in the mornings only to empty her stomach... and yet she acted perfectly fine the rest of the day! Seemed to be in really high spirits.... So odd! He hadn't pressed her really about it, since she seemed so happy, but perhaps he should. She was a strong woman so maybe she was just hiding the sickness? He swallowed a sigh as he entered their house; he didn't want her to be sick! Sicknesses were dangerous things, sometimes they were simple and gotten over easily, other ones could take away a life. "Hey dear..." He asked hesitantly, not wanting to take away her smile but needing to know if she was in danger or something.

When she heard Rayolun's voice a smile spread across her face. "You're home!" she stopped what she was doing and went over to kiss him.
"I'm cooking your favorite." she said happily. She thought the good news would be even better if she told him over his favorite foods. "It should be done any second now if you want to get us some water and sit down at the table?" she asked as she moved away from him and back to where the food was cooking.

a pet dino tiny tag as I get my muses rolling again. Rayolun smiled back at his wife, it was hard to stay worried when she was in such high spirits.. but he couldn't help it! He kissed her back and brushed some hair out of her face with a faint smile. "Sure..." After he fetched it he hesitated then blurted out; "Lasarra.. you're into sick are you? I mean the whole morning illness.. do you need a healer?"

Ah he was ruining all the fun. She finished the cooking and placed it on the table before answering him. "I'm not sick, however I will need to see a healer regularly for a while... Nine months actually I believe, if the midwife told me correctly."
She wasn't sure if he would put two and two together, but she hoped so. She hoped that he would get it from those words and the big smile on her face.

Rayolun looked quizzically at his wife. "And you are... happy about needing to see a healer for nine months?" He didn't understand what sickness would make her happy... and how did she know she'd be cured in such a precise time? "This sickness is... a good thing?" A thought poked his mind but he couldn't quite figure it out. Something rang a bell but... He hadn't had a normal upbringing so certain things just didn't come automatically to him; being raised alone mostly and his only contacts being male also contributed to this.

Many times she forgot that her husband hadn't grown up around others and instead in the forest with his uncle. She started laughing, and although it was slow at first it became so bad that she was bent over holding her stomach. This was just to much. When she could finally stop laughing she sat up and smiled at him, shaking her head. He must think she had lost it.
"My love, do you not know of the sickness that women get sometimes that last about nine months? It's given to them by their husband." Maybe he would get it now.

He opened his mouth several times before closing it again, trying to figure out what she meant, confusion and worry on his face. "I got you sick?" Standing up he put a hand over her forehead, no fever.. what did she mean? "And you're happy about this?"

Okay she couldn't take it anymore, she had to tell him. "My love," she took his hand and put it on her belly, "we're having a child. That's why I've been so unwell. The older women of the village tell me that it's a perfectly normal thing and I have nothing to worry about."
There she said it, it was out. She stared at his face, hoping to see joy there. They had planned on having kids, though she wasn't sure if he wanted them just yet. She had really wanted to wait a little longer, but sometimes you didn't get to plan when things happened. They just happened.

Pregnant? He felt stupid now! Well, how was he to know what it meant? "Kids..." He whispered as a wide grin grew on his face. They were going to have children! He picked Lasarra up and spun her around happily. Kids! He was stunned and smiling for a bit, then a frown crossed his face. "Are we ready.. I mean... like a place for them.. names.. how do you even take care of a kid?"

"Well a child, at least that I know of. The elderwoman said it's to early to know if there are more then one child or not." she said as he twirled her around. She was so pleased with his reaction, she wasn't sure what she would have done if he would have been unhappy with the news.
When the frown crossed his face she wasn't sure if it was too good to be true, but as he started to speak her worries eased. He was just worried as an expectant father would be. Nothing to be worried about, she had the same fears. "We're as ready as we are ever going to be. The extra room just needs things like a bed, but other then that it's done. And for a name we have nine months. I've been helping my sister, and I'll continue to do so, so I'll be able to learn whatever I need to know. Plus you know you are always welcome to come with and play with them as well.

robot kitten sorry for being so slow! It was as if after I grew him he went to sleep sad ... MORE than one kid? You could have more than one kid? Rayolun was a bit shocked at this; how did that happen? He had not been aware that earthlings could birth litters! "Can I help take care of them too?" He asked a bit plaintively; he didn't want to miss out on raising children! "I don't know anything but I'm a fast learner! And that way you don't have to shoulder everything, dear." He smiled and kissed her cheek. Kids! there would be children soon!

She smiled. "Of course you can my love. I don't know much either. It will be an adventure for us both, we're a team now." she said happily. Although she really was hoping she would only have one child, the thought of two was exciting. Their home would never be the same again, that was for sure. It would be loud and she would love it.
"They tell me that soon enough you'll be able to feel the baby kicking inside of me." It sounded strange to her, but the other women made it sound like it was an exciting step.
Robot kitten It's fine, I have Niadra for growth right now anyways so I have some time to wait till Las can grow.

a pet dino this gives us 3 weeks then! He gave a lopsided smile; "Ive had a lot of quiet adventures over the years but somehow I don't think this will be quiet!" Kids were.. noisy right? At least the ones he saw in the villagers were, scampering about laughing and playing odd games. "Kicking inside?" He looked worried again; this whole married thing came with a lot of new strange things! "Won't that hurt? Especially if there's two... wouldn't they hurt each other?" He ran his hand gently over her stomach. People being born inside there... talk about strange miracles!

She laughed. "I'm sure there will be some quiet times, but not at first. At first it will be loud, very loud." At least from what she saw things were like that. Others of the village had told her at at first children didn't sleep for very long, but after some time they regulated their sleep cycle and it wasn't as horrible.
She smiled at her husband's confusion. Honestly she had the same reactions when she had been told the children would kick. She hadn't grown up with pregnant people so this was all new to her as well. "From what I've heard it can be discomforting at times, for me, but it won't danger the kids."
