The local dragonseer (that's a fancy word for someone who rides on a balloon and stares at the fog from above) wants your help in locating potential signs of danger and sand whales. You are to ride the balloon up and take a look.
You must first assemble the balloon. Pick any two items from the list below to make the basket of your balloon out of. Rp accordingly:
- Snake leather - Thick rope - Flaming carpet - A basket of foxfires - A white cloth - Carved sand whale bone - A net - A table - A door - Five golden rings - A pine tree - A trash can - A really really really really big bottle
- Next, to ascend, roll 1d100. This is the number of feet that your balloon launches to the sky. If you roll a 1.. you kind of suck. Maybe you're really bad with balloons. Maybe youre too heavy. Maybe your buddy should get off. Who knows.
If your character is lucky and manages to roll above 50 feet, they will get to see the town below them. You notice that the town is shaped like an S. You can also see clearly the town below you.
If your character rolls above 80 feet, you end up going too high into the highest miasma clouds. The thin air makes exposure to miasma easily and you gain +5 miasma.
As long as you roll over 50 feet you succeed in this venture.

The request was harmless. The request made logical sense. The request was from a dragonseer (whatever that was) that had wanted him to fly up high to see if he saw any signs - a vision or a hint of some divine sort. The request was odd, but he had hesitantly agreed. However, what he hadn't prepared for was that she had wanted him to build his own basket as the balloon was already offered. The offered balloon was what won him - if he needed to get high up, then that would be the case. However, the basket was missing... Fine, the dragonseer offered him options out of her shack. Determined, he entered the shack and reeled back in shock. It was an absolute mess!!!! A flaming carpet? Snake leather? Was that a whale bone? A trash can - okay, that one at least made some sense... But then there was the basket of foxfires. It was a relatively decent sized basket that he could squat down in ... and be surrounded by foxfires. Sure, that sounded great. Alright, the foxfire basket was high up on his list. The other plausible options he had thought of at a glance were the table - strong and sturdy, the door - same reason but had no legs..., the trash can for the same reason he chose the basket of foxfires, but he wasn't sure if it was cleaned or not... or how exactly durable it was. The very large body was another option. However, basket of foxfires won. He liked foxfires as he did most minipets. Not to mention, they definitely reminded him of home. The dragonseer asked him to gather one more item of the trash - materials to use. He picked up the only item that made sense; the thick rope. It was rolled up neatly and it was heavy for him to lift. With one arm, it was about two hundred pounds judging by the difficulty. It must have been long then. His thought there was to get something to tie him to the ground so he could pull him back to the surface safely to descend the balloon. It was either that... or start throwing foxfires overboard. Even he couldn't condone such actions ... plus, a green-eyed monster would shun him for life.
The rope was tied and secured as the balloon lifted up in the air until the end of the rope stopped his ascent. Looking over the fluff and nips, he saw the village below as clear as ever. The fog did not rise this high. Miasma Village was shaped like an S. He could see tiny dots but could not tell which from who. Surely Brenna was one of them.
He committed the image to memory before taking hold of the rope to descend. The fluffy foxes made for good company and destressors.

As he was descending, the wind picked up briefly, throwing the balloon back a few feet. Strange, it came from nowhere.
