Still angry and seething from the absolutely unproductive attempt to speak to the villagers, Dekana accepted the next kill-it-with-fire request he was handed. Turns out the village is beginning to starve and they need help gathering food. What their hunters were doing, Dekana had no idea, but if it meant he could go spill some blood for a bit then he was all for it.
The preferred meat, he was told, was from the evil hand turkeys to the north. Vicious wild fowl that would gouge your eyes out and peck at your liver if given the chance. The steaks of these creatures were the best that could be reliably obtained.
Thus, it was that Dekana found himself wandering the mist north of the village itching for a fight. When he finally encountered one, he barely gave it a moment to react as he pounced, the Miasma flaring up around him, joining with the torrent of the underworld that he unleashed, pouring over the turkey.

The turkey didn't know what hit it. The torrent consumed it, wrapping in death's embrace and the creature exploded in a puff of feathers. The corpse fell to the ground, ripe for the harvesting.
Thoroughly satisfied with the results of his attack, Dekana set about butchering the turkey for its meat. He cut the prime steak from its breast then cut his favourite pieces.
Next came the hard part! He was supposed to cook this while out hunting... they'd given him a portable spit but he'd never actually used one before. Curiously, he set it down and set the fire. Watching it burn, it didn't seem too bad!
He set the steak to cooking and an odd but catchy tune started playing from somewhere within the spit - where or how, Dekana had no idea.
He was too eager in his attempt, it seemed. Was more on the lightly smoked then the actually cooked variety but his instructions had been that raw steaks were fine.
Still, he didn't want to leave without at least a few steaks and his hands were itching for more trouble.
Thus, he moved on to scouring the mists for another turkey. When he found an appropriate shape moving about, he pounced upon it, too. The underworld rolled forth from him, a torrent of spectral snakes and fish the likes of which belonged in nightmares.
The attack staggered it but it was a heartier turkey then before, turning around to counter. Its sharp claws raked across his flesh, angering him further. All he wanted was to cook a decent steak! Why didn't this turkey had to be so troublesome?
He summoned another wave of the underworld, choosing a frontal attack. Perhaps a deathly blow to the face would bring the irritating turkey down.
There was a very satisfying poof of feathers and a loud, surprised sqwuak as the turkey exploded into a corpse.
Grinning proudly, Dekana went about collecting his prize once more and set the spit up to make one more attempt. If they didn't like what he had, that was their problem!

It turned out perfectly! Even more pleased with his venture, Dekana packed up his things and made for the village, steaks in tow. They couldn't complain about this!
