Quote:
- It seems as if the villagers now want you to collect some more eggs. Those eggs are really delicious you know, and surprisingly enough, get you into the good graces of the villagers quite fast.

- Your character is dropped off at the base of an even taller mountain The goal is to climb the mountain and get the egg. RP climbing it appropriately

- As you near the egg, whatever is following you will try to eat it. Roll 1d6 to see what it is.

1. A sand crab minipet
2. A 100 foot giant snake
3. A baby wyvern
4. A zombie deer minipet
5. A sand whale (estimated 400 feet)
6. A rolling sand lobster minipet

If by any chance a sand whale is the culprit, it automatically eats the egg and you have to try again. Otherwise, rp gathering the egg.

- Now you must carry the egg down the cliffside of the mountain. Roll 1d6 again and see what is trying to push you off the cliff aggressively.

1. A sand crab minipet
2. A 100 foot giant snake
3. A baby wyvern
4. A zombie deer minipet
5. A sand whale (estimated 400 feet)
6. A rolling sand lobster minipet

If the result is a sand lobster, you drop the egg, and have to try again.

- You finally pass the cliffs into the forest region of the mountain. Roll 1d5 to see what tries to block your way.

1. A sand crab minipet
2. A 100 foot giant snake
3. A baby wyvern
4. A zombie deer minipet
5. A sand whale (estimated 400 feet)
6. A rolling sand lobster minipet

If the result is a 100 foot giant snake, it squishes you and you have to try again.

Finally, you make you way past all of that and you get to the base camp. Oh wait, something is waiting for you at base camp! Roll 1d6 again:

1. A sand crab minipet
2. A 100 foot giant snake
3. A baby wyvern
4. A zombie deer minipet
5. A sand whale (estimated 400 feet)
6. A rolling sand lobster minipet

If a baby wyvern shows up, very mean adult wyverns land, reprimand you, and then extract the egg from you before flying away. You don't get an egg. Otherwise, success!

gaia_star If you successfully get an egg to safety, you get wyvern egg. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list

Ignatius unfortunately found little success in getting himself the roast ghost fish he had been craving after that terrible villager had taunted him. What he did have luck doing was getting prodded again, back towards another mountain.

The elemental glanced over his shoulder at the pushy cloaked villager behind him. "Really?" At least it wasn't with something pointy this time, he guessed. Just a stick was a little more tolerable. Maybe the villagers were gradually becoming a bit less hostile. That was good, considering it wasn't exactly their fault they had ended up stranded in this ridiculous foggy --

"Go. Get egg. Up there." The villager grunted at Ignatius as he pointed up the mountain. Well. Alright then. The elemental had scaled the other mountain and he had scaled smaller buildings before, he was certain this couldn't be too bad. Even if this was taller than anything else he had climbed before, Ignatius cracked his neck, swung his arms around, and lept up, getting to work on climbing up the ledges to get up to the top.

It was admittedly a shame he did not have any company, he would admit. But company would slow him down! Clearly they gave him this position alone solely because he would be most capable...

While getting up the mountain was certainly no cakewalk, it did not take too long to get up the mountain overall. After all, there were no snakes after his heels this time.

The eggs were fairly easy to spot this time, sitting inside a nest and waiting patiently for him to take one. No problem, Ignatius would get right to that! He strolled up casually, simply plucking an egg out of the nest. He also happened to pluck up a little buddy that was coming along for the ride in the process.

A sand crab! How adorable! Ignatius cooed at it for a moment, only to draw his face away when it snapped its little claws at him. Well, that wasn't very nice. Ignatius stuck his tongue out at the suddenly not-as-adorable crab, plucking it up off his egg and setting it back into the nest. While that was probably not the best place to put a crab that seemed very interested in eating these innocent eggs, Ignatius had already turned away and started back towards one of the ledges.

He may have commented on the lack of angry things bothering him on the way up, but that didn't really last very long on the way down.

As soon as he had an egg in his hands, everyone wanted a piece of it. That included a certain rolling sand lobster that decided a perfect time to get under Ignatius' feet was the time he was jumping down from one ledge to another. He expected a much smoother landing than he ended up getting, and could not immediately recover...

Resulting in him throwing the egg down the mountain. Ignatius winced.

Well then.

Ignatius turned around and started back up the mountain.

Thankfully, the eggs were still where he had left them up top of the mountain.

Not quite as thankfully, Ignatius had located where the snakes had gone from the other mountain. As soon as he plucked the egg up, a giant snake came charging at him, causing Ignatius to run aside in alarm.

The snake had so much momentum that it could not stop and threw itself off the top of the mountain, leaving Ignatius to go down in a different direction.

He would certainly get this egg down the mountain.

He felt something push against his leg as he went down the mountain, and turned around to find the adorable, albeit temperamental, sand crab from earlier. He cooed at it, got pinched again, and continued on like nothing had happened.

Ignatius would not be deterred from his egg-gathering mission!

Now down when the cliffs, Ignatius had reached the forest. It was a nice forest, really. Lush and full of plants.

It would certainly be more appealing if there were less angry villagers and less of this oppressive fog, though. The closer he got to the base camp, the more he felt it inside his lungs...

Wait, was that a... Sand whale?

"Hey, this isn't a sandy area!" chirped Ignatius, as he worked to find a way around the giant minipet that simply sat in his way. "Don't think you belong here! Try further up the mountain?"

While it simply moaned at him, or whatever that loud noise whales made was, Ignatius eventually found his way around the whale from behind and tiptoed around it. As soon as he thought he was far enough to avoid incurring any wrath, he fled.

Ah, base camp! He could see it just over the waterfall.

As he was about to start his final descent, he felt a poke from behind again. Ignatius quirked a brow at its familiarity, before turning around and finding that he was right.

The sand crab was back.

"You're very persistent," admired Ignatius, as he simply held the egg up higher so the sand crab couldn't get it. "However, this is for the villagers down there." Once he walked away from the sad sand crab and made it down the rest of the way, Ignatius happily presented the villagers with his new wyvern egg, proud of his accomplishment.

He found himself a little surprised when the villagers insisted he keep it again, though he supposed he wasn't complaining. He stored it in the same area as his herbivore egg.
