Ken walks out of his locker room and is stopped by interviewer Max Valentine
Max: Congratulations Ken on a successful title defense against Pantera last week. What are your thoughts on the number one contender's match for your championship tonight between Pantera and Mikey McKay?
Ken rests the title belt on his shoulder. "Should I really have an opinion? I've beaten Pantera twice now, once to win the title and a second time to retain it. I've planted his face to the mat twice and pinned him. All that MMA training didn't help him get this title back He doesn't have the drive to beat me. As for Mikey, he's never held a championship here. So he's just reaching. At least he'll be someone new to beat."
Max: So you're saying that you don't view either as a threat?
Ken looks at his title belt. "I'm saying if those two are the best Drako has to throw at me, I'll be champion for a long time. But I'm going to set my sights higher."
Max: Well, tonight you're set to face Draze, perhaps one of the most decorated athletes currently signed in DHW. He's another guy that's much larger than you. Any comment or plans heading into the match?
Ken shrugs. "You know, I came into DHW and went after the biggest, baddest beast in the kingdom. I took my lumps, but I took him to the limit. Pantera, I beat him twice. Draze, he's just another in a long list of big men I'll have to chop down to size and drop face first into the mat en route to getting that critical three count. After I beat him here tonight, my goal is to take that DHW Heavyweight championship. I will be the first man to hold two singles championships in DHW history. Whether or not Trent is still the champion, I'm taking that title. So, the way I see it, I drop a former world champion and top contender here in DHW, I get that much closer to my goal. I mean, I beat the guy that beat Trent for this title twice. Clearly, I'm superior. It's all a matter of proving it."
