Quote: Your character(s) must interview two villagers. Villagers are all cloaked for some reason. Villagers may get disinterested when you ask too many questions, your goal is to acquire as much IC information as possible. Maybe they hold the key in your leaving. Roll 1d10 and match your dice roll to the result below. That is the response they give you to your question. Your character can ask any question they formulate with the response always being the result below. If you roll the same number, you get the same response. 1. The villager glowers at you but does not reply to your question 2. The villager seems busy chopping firewood and is fastidiously ignoring you 3. The villager turns to look at you. They wave... at someone past you. 4. The villager is fishing. They reel in an invisible fish.. or is it just nothing. 5. The villager responds with a hearty grunt. 6. The villager looks you straight in the eye. " No." 7. The villager seems glum beyond their cloak. They mutter a few words involving the terms 'despair' and 'death'. 8. The villager is too busy looking at their toes. 9. The villager is cooking roast ghost fish, it smells delicious. They take out a skewer, offer you it, and then eat it before you can accept. 10. The villager seems passed out. Maybe you should leave them alone...

Ignatius was pretty sure he was right in his observation that these odd, pushy villagers were just taking advantage of him and the other students that had ended up here.
They kept pushing them to do things like climb mountains for eggs which they didn't take, and make turkey steaks out of incredibly evil turkeys, and he was certain he had seen other creeple doing even more silly things. Ignatius enjoyed doing things and learning new skills, sure, but he didn't like being pushed around and he wanted some answers.
Or, at least, some explanation as to how this place used to be a resort town.
Ignatius tapped his chin, pondering who he should approach for a few moments before he realized there probably wasn't much of a difference. With the cloaks on, they all looked the same anyway, and they had certainly all been acting equally as bizarre.

If there wasn't much of a difference, then, no point in spending time thinking about it.
Instead, Ignatius strolled right up to a random villager, not taking into account anything they might have been doing and instead attempting to get their attention.
Luckily for Ignatius, his choice was actually paying attention, but was doing a lot more glaring than anything else. Ignatius wasn't deterred. "How did this place become the way it is? With the fog and everything?"
The villager glared harder. In retrospect, Ignatius probably should have expected that, considering his question, but he didn't back off the subject despite the clear signs he should. "I'm not saying your new style is bad, with the cloaks and the fog and everything. Very ambient. Just not entirely sure how this is a resort town."
They still didn't answer, of course, continuing to glare. Ignatius attempted to glare back, narrowing his eyes playfully, before laughter broke out and interrupted that failed attempt.
The villager stayed glaring, though. How long could he hold his face like that?
Simple conclusion then. "Jack, can you not move your face? Alright then." He shrugged and went to look for someone who would maybe be a little less of a glaring statue.

Was there a gorgon on the loose in this town somewhere? That might explain why that creature's face had been so frozen in the glare.
(It couldn't be that his question was offensive or anything. It was a legitimate question about a legitimately strange location that they had ended up in with no choice in the matter!)
No matter. Ignatius would simply question someone else! Pointing randomly at another villager he saw while his was continuing his walk away from a certain glaring villager, Ignatius jogged over in his direction before getting distracted by yet another villager and going over to them instead.
Perhaps it was the delicious smell of ghost fish that had distracted him.
With all the things the villagers had made them do already, it was only fair that he be granted a bit of the fish. Right? Ignatius practically floated over to the villager, eyeing the fish hungrily.
"Hey, could I have a bit of that?" So much for asking questions about where they were.
Tantalizingly, the villager moved the skewer towards Ignatius, as if actually offering the treat. Eagerly, Ignatius reached out to grab it for himself...
Only to have his dreams crushed by the villager taking the roast ghost fish back and biting on it himself. Ignatius' shoulders slumped. That was rude. Just like everyone else in this resort town had been so far. He wanted that fish. It was the fish of his dreams!
Well, he'd just go get his own then.
With a hrrumph, Ignatius turned and marched away, completely forgetting the point of his original quest.
