Quote:
- It seems as if the villagers now want you to collect some eggs. Some untainted, un-miasma fused precious wyvern eggs from an exotic wyvern couple that sadly passed away. You must scale a very high mountain in order to get these eggs.

- Your character is dropped off at the base of the mountain. The goal is to climb the mountain and get the egg. To scale the mountain, you must write a jaunty 250 word post of your character scaling the mountain. You can do this as you please, there are plenty of angry nesting minipets, boulders, and possibly giant serpents blocking your way. As you reach the top, obtain the egg, and you are ready to begin your descent.

- Every single creature possible, especially rolling sand lobsters, will try to destroy your egg. Roll 1d4 four times and match your dice roll to the prompt below to reach the bottom of the mountain. Yes, repeats do happen if you roll a repeat. Your egg has 10 HP. If you make it down without the egg reaching 0 HP (breaking) you made it!

1) A sand lobster rolls right into your egg and nearly breaks it! -2 HP
2) Strange velociraptor minipets are hungrily staring at your egg. They try to attack it! -1 HP
3) A giant snake smacks you with its giant tail. Ouch! -3 HP
4) Nothing happens. You were lucky!

gaia_star If you successfully get an egg to safety, you get herbivore egg. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list

After having walked around and gathered a bit of information about the village, Marosa sighed and tied his hair back into a ponytail, figuring that he would help these villagers out. They were menial tasks, and anything light duty he was up for - anything more and he knew for sure that both Sharra and Hadiyya would have his hide and then some.

Closing his eyes and rubbing his face, the gancanagh stared up at the mountain before approaching it, beginning to scale the wall.

He let his mind wander as he fought for every scrape and hole to grab onto, idly missing his wings but realizing that perhaps it was a blessing in disguise - he could do a lot more things freely now without worry of injuring them or damaging them beyond repair.

Marosa also thought about the letter he left behind for both of his lovers, a pang of regret for not telling them face to face... but it wasn't like he was going off to battle. In the letter he'd clearly stated that it was a school field trip, and that he wouldn't be getting into any stupid battles anytime soon. Just a few retrieval quests and all would be well, and perhaps he'd bring them back a souvenir each?

Trying to grab further up, his hand closed on air and he realized that he was actually at the top, hoisting himself over with ease and letting out a winded breath. Climbing had felt very good, and Marosa was happy to find that the eggs were right there in sight.

A shame about the parents, though.

Stepping towards the egg, Marosa cringed as a sand lobster minipet rolled right into the jacking egg. He rushed over and grimaced, checking the egg carefully before picking up the minipet and glowering at it.

"Ye try that again and you'll find yerself in a frying pan with butter." His voice was cold, and he scowled at it one last time before setting it down, watching as it rolled away like a kicked puppy.

Lifting the egg now and cradling it with both arms, Marosa smiled and braced himself as he headed down the cliffside again, taking twice as long as he had before, all concentration on not breaking the egg. There was only one more happenstance where a snake smacked him with its tail, and he jerked to snap the egg against the cliffwall... luckily, it was perfectly fine and the faerie made it to the bottom with no more surprises.

He checked over the egg once more to be absolutely sure, Marosa was more than thankful that he was incredibly lucky to have gotten to the very end with a still-intact egg.

It wasn't long until he was back in town and gave the egg to the villagers that had asked for it, finally glancing down at his rather unkempt and muddy form. He probably needed to wash, but really... what was the point in getting clean if he was only going to do more errands for the rest of the villagers?

Marosa reasoned that if they gave him any weird looks or upturned lips, he'd definitely go clean himself off, but until then he was more than happy to just delve right into another retrieval mission, feeling not only good about himself, but happy that he could actually help someone out without messing anything up.

Watching as the villagers took great care of the egg and brought it into one of their houses, Marosa turned to see if another villager needed help, not quite tired enough to call it quits just yet.
