[ Quest 15: ] EGGSTRATION: THE FINALE ** NEW **Requirement: Every person in the party attempting this must have a wyvern egg. Are you ready for chaos? Mayhem? No? WELL GOOD. It is time for the FINAL TEST OF YOUR PROOF AS A VILLAGER EGGSTRACTOR. - On top of the highest hill through the highest mountain peak is the rarest of eggs, the Giant Snake egg. If you bring this home, then you have proven your worth as the greatest eggstractor of them all. Step 1: Climb the mountain - You're already used to this part. Get going! Climb up that mountain and see what you're made of. Oh wait, right, we forgot to mention. The reason why you need a wyvern egg is you have to replace that egg with the Giant Snake Egg you need to get. That way the parent giant snake doesn't notice! - As you climb the mountain, roll 1d4. Match your dice roll to the result below. 1: You break your wyvern egg! Sorry, you have to obtain another one.. 2. You manage to climb with relative ease. Something watches you in the distance. 3. You trip and stumble but save your egg! -10 HP for your character 4. You accidentally stumble into a giant cloud of miasma! Add +5 to your miasma meter. Step 2: Replacing the egg Finally you reach the base of the mountain with a [i 400 foot giant snake guarding its pile of eggs in the center. You must slowly sneak and take the Giant Snake egg, replacing it with the wyvern one. Roll 1d100 to see how quiet you were. If you roll 30 or less, you get eaten. You die and dissipate back to base camp. The good news is you still have your wyvern egg (must start quest again). Otherwise, continue onwards. Step 3: New egg friend and you At this point you no longer have your wyvern egg. You only have this Giant Snake Egg. So that means if you destroy your giant snake egg on the way back, you have to obtain a new wyvern egg from the previous eggstraction quest. The giant snake egg has 10 HP. A pair of very hungry velicoraptor-like creatures seem to have found you and follow the egg hungrily! They have 10 HP. You only need to defeat one to move on (per group!) Every time you or ANYONE in the group rolls double dice (1, 1, 2, 2, etc) you take -2 damage to your egg, otherwise it takes no damage. At the very end where the base camp is, there is a giant waterfall. You have no choice, you have to jump down! Roll 1d6 to see how much damage your egg takes. Good luck! If your egg somehow survives, you have DONE IT. Go ahead and collect your prize and drop it off in this thread!  Rarity: Rare Size: 25 feet long (baby snek!) Weight capacity: 2 people max. (No mount/natural forms it gets skittish) Special ability: Is excellent at making impromptu bridges and shelter from cold areas. Sheds rainbow-coloured skin that can be used as waterproof wear. Has impeccable memory - as long as it has been to a place, it knows how to get there. Flying: Cannot fly. Teleportation: Teleports from Miasma Village to Halloween Town only (and vice versa) Temper: Extremely shy. Does not go indoors. Only likes large areas. Will escape through any given opening if the area is smaller than it is.

Lucille’s temper tantrum was good show and it was amusing to see the young student stomping and stamping about the earth with such frustration. “I can’t help it you know! Anyone would gasp at the sight of such a huge a** snake!” “I don’t doubt you,” said the villager with a shrug. “But you should still give it another go,” “Is that egg up there really that important?” The villager shrugged. “It might be,” “Oh bugger it. I’ll give it one more go but if I appear back here…,” “You will just have to do it again,” “Damn!” In her anger, Lucille hardly noticed where she was going and stumbled. They wyvern egg, nestled safely in her backpack would certainly have crack had Lucille not turned around and saved it. “Lucky you. Or you would have to collect another wyvern egg,” called out the villager from the foot of the hill. “You are not the boss of me!” shouted Lucille before realizing what awaited her at the top of the mountain. Worried eyes glanced up lest the serpent would come striking down upon her from above. But it was Lucille’s lucky break. Despite the screaming, the snake did not come charging down.

Being eaten and transported all the way back down to the base of the mountain was a pain in the neck. And if she had to see the smirk that villager gave her just one more time…. “I will go crazy, I know I shall,” said Lucille under her breath. The top of the mountain was beginning to loom into view. And nestled at its peak was the treasure she had gone to get. The Giant Snake’s Egg. Yes. That totally warranted the capital letters given to it. And this time, she knew what she had to do. She had to exchange the wyvern egg in her possession for the one in the snake’s nest. Without making a sound and attracting the snake’s deathly bite. Definitely could do without a third death bite coming her way. She was close now. Close enough to see the rough surface of the serpent’s egg. Close enough to… Make the switch! Lucille stepped back with a madly beating heart. She had done it! She had exchanged the egg. And the serpent parent seemed none the wiser. Now all she had to do was to make it back alive.

Enemy HP: 9/10 Egg HP: 10 Just keep going, just keep going, just keep going… muttered Lucille softly to herself in the aftermath of the great egg switching heist. It was too early to taste sweet victory, Lucille knew, since she was still dangerously close to the snake’s nest. The Reaper did not even want to begin to imagine the horror of what could happen should the snake realize the deception. Yes, it was definitely better not to imagine. “Kikikikikiiiii!” “Oh no!” groaned Lucille, familiar with the sound of velicoraptors on hunt. After all, several had chased her during an earlier egg hunt. Now it seemed, they had returned. “If it isn’t mad hurtling lobsters, it is you guys huh?” muttered Lucille as she prepared herself for confrontation. There were two rather large sized velicoraptors this time and they looked hungry. “Take that!” shouted Lucille, suddenly launching a fireball at one and hitting it on the flank. The creature gave a pained yelp before jumping back several feet to watch Lucille nastily.

The raptor seemed to have learnt her tricks and was dodging them as soon as she conjured the fireballs up.

Enemy HP: 6 Egg HP: 10/10 "Try this then!" yelled Lucille as she released a shot of water instead. It struck the raptor and it gave a surprised yelp at the change in tactics.

Enemy HP: 4 Egg hp: 8/10 Encouraged, Lucille tried another shot, which the raptor evaded before snapping at the egg. "That was too close!" exclaimed Lucille with alarm. Any closer and the egg's thin shell would have cracked.

Enemy HP:3 Egg hp: 8/10 Having the egg so close to its maw made the raptor careless and it did not quite evade the rock that Lucille hurled at it.

Enemy HP:0 Egg hp: 8/10 "I am done playing games!" said Lucille, frustration clearly evident in her voice. "You will push off!" Having said so, the Reaper conjured up a particularly nasty fireball and launched it at the surprised raptor. With a pained squeal, the raptor was off. Hopefully to nurse its wounds.
