xxx「 N A T H A N ♔ B E N T L E Yxxx The bright sunlight bathed his skin as he laid on his side, dreary and hooded eyes fixed on his digital alarm clock. 8:55AM. He was awake and aware but he did not want to be. Hoping that he would be able to slip back into the comfort of a dream for at least another few minutes,Nathan slumped back into the mass of sheets and pillows and clamped his eyes shut. For a moment felt the comfort of silence overcome his body--and then he heard it. The deathly screech of the alarm clock. An arm, controlled by instinct reached out to hit the 'off' button which gratefully muted it in an instant. The camp counsellors had to get a head start this morning and prepare the camp grounds for the welcoming ceremony and as one of the 'managers', it was his job to coordinate his crew and make sure that everything ran smoothly.
The man let out a groan and shuffled the thin blankets off his legs, tousling a hand through his dirty blonde locks as he headed into the small bathroom. After about fifteen minutes he was clad in a pair of casual black shorts and a loose fitting grey t-shirt. Today was a beautiful sunny day with not a single cloud in the sky and he would have been thrilled if his head wasn't pounding. The night prior, the counselors had a small bonfire and Nathan had made the mistake of drinking more booze than he'd care to admit.
Just shortly after 11:30AM, the task was complete and everyone was either lounging around in a shady patch of grass or taking a swim in the nearby lake. Nathan stood near the refreshments table with his crew, sweaty and exhausted. There was a pool of sweat around the neckline of his shirt and it clung to his glistening skin, making his muscles look all the more refined. Fetching a bottle of deliciously cold water Nathan twisted off the plastic cap and took a long guzzle, splashing some onto his face and neck for a refresher. As he did so he glanced around the camp, a faint smile touching his lips at the sight. Overall the camp looked welcoming. Colourful and decorative. Something that parents would take a liking to in an instant and simultaneously make teenagers want to vomit.
Campers and parents would be flooding the area in only a few short minutes. However, the camp wasn't exactly what the brochure had lead parents on to believe. As far as they were concerned, Camp Horizons was a camp that was meant for troubled teenagers that focused on "changing behaviours and attitudes through education, the influence of a good environment and positive role models"--the camp counsellors. In reality it was anything but that. Crazy bonfires, drinking, skinny dipping, and pranks was what really went on at Camp Horizons. There had even been hook ups between campers and camp counsellors--which wasn't really Nathan's style. Not to say that he minded if anyone else did. It wasn't his business. As long as the campers went home happy at the end of summer, he was happy.

  Blair rolled her eyes at her parents going on and on about things."This will be a good way to fix your attitude.You'll see." her father reassured her. Blair's mother turned to face her. "You won't be able to get into trouble here.Maybe strictness is what you need sweet heart." Blair's eyes went wide. "And you two are out of your minds." she grabbed her things and got out of the car. The warm summer sun felt amazing. She took a long deep breath and closed her eyes, summer was finally here. Even if this camp was strict she'd be making the best of it. She always found a way to have her kind of fun no matter what situation. Already she was dreading the welcoming campers with cheesy things part. After the hugs and kisses good byes her parents drove off.
Blair swung her duffle bag over her shoulder and entered the camp ground. She was surprised at herself that she was even awake this early. Part of her mind was clinging on to some hope that the camp was much more then it said it was. Blair disagreed to being sent here multiple times but her parents wouldn't budge. "Wonder if camp will be as fun as it was when I was ten guess we'll see." she mumbled to herself.

xxx「 N A T H A N ♔ B E N T L E Yxxx As anticipated, campers and parents were soon flooding the camp grounds. Nathan had changed his shirt into the supposedly required attire; a bright blue t-shirt with the camps logo on his chest and the words "camp counsellor" in big black font across his upper back. Many eager mother's and father's were quick to approach him with loads of questions while practically dragging their kids around kicking and screaming. When it was time for the welcoming speech, the man hopped up onto the stage and walked up to the mic, wrapping a hand around it. He tapped it with his knuckle twice to test it and it made a noise in response so he took it out of it's clip. "Good morning campers and parents." Nathan's deep yet velvety voice was audible all throughout the camp and grabbed everyone's attention in an instant.
"My name's Nathan, I'm one of the team coordinators of Camp Horizons. Now I know what you're all thinking. You don't care, you could care less," he began, taking on a nonchalant tone as he addressed the less-than-pleased teenagers. "You just want to go back home, and I get it. It's your summer you should be free to do whatever the hell you want, right?" He paused for a moment, eyes scanning the crowd. Mumbles and grumpy faces were all that he could see. "Fair enough. But believe me when I tell you that this camp is way more than meets the eye. I know it may not necessarily seem like it just yet but you just wait. You are all going to have the summer of your lives and that's a promise." His overall demeanour seemed innocent although there was definitely something wicked underneath it all. It flew right past the parents but it was enough to make campers exchange glances with one another, some of them even smiling. "On that note I'll let Jen take it from here."
The female counsellor switched spots with Nathan and took over, basically giving parents a brief outline of what was planned for the summer. Everything that came out of her mouth was beyond bullshit of course. About half an hour later, as parents were dispersing, Nathan moved back to the mic and watched the massive wooden gates from afar. "Is that the last of 'em?" he asked into the mic after a moment, and in response they lifted their arms up into the air and gave him a thumbs up. "Perfect. Close the gates," he told them, and let his blue eyes roam the field of campers once more. There was at least fifty all together. "Alright, campers. Just up the trail you'll find the counsellors cabin. Outside there is a bulletin board with five sheets of paper stapled to it, it's hard to miss. Names are listed in alphabetical order and your last initial corresponds to the cabin you're in. Find your cabin, unpack your s**t, make yourselves at home. After that you're free to do whatever you want."

Blair watched the gates close behind them. With an arched eye brow she couldn't believe her ears when they said what the camp was really about. My parents would have to have known it was like this or did they? Blair shrugged her shoulders and wiped the frown off her face replacing it with a smile. Maybe things wouldn't be so bad, but only time could tell. She crouched down picking up her bags and followed the rest of the herd to the board.
After finally elbowing her way to the board she scanned her name. "Cabin 4.Nathan Bentley. Well let's hope he isn't a huge buzz kill. " Blair made her way to the cabin. The cabin was nice and not all of the good beds were taken yet. She started to unpack doing so as quickly as possible. She wanted to go explore the camp more than anything else. Blair walked out the door ready to explore hoping there was something planned for later.

As the campers dispersed, Nathan jumped off the stage and with his clipboard by his side, started walking to his assigned cabin. He wanted to properly introduce himself to his group and give them a brief rundown of his own rules and expectations before they took off. There would be ten campers in his cabin all together; five males, five females. The set of rules that he had in mind would be directed more so towards the guys. As he neared the cabin, that was conveniently parked near the lake, he spotted a pretty little blonde walking down the steps and he held up his clipboard to grasp her attention. "Don't take off just yet," he said with an amused smile, bright blue eyes looking her over. "I'm Nathan, your cabin counsellor." The tall man put on a charming smile and glanced down at his clipboard and clicked the pen with his thumb, getting ready to scrawl down her name in the space provided. "Can I get your name, sweetheart?"

Blair stopped in her tracks quickly. What could possibly be so important the second she thought. Blair lifted an eyebrow crossing her arms over her chest. "Hey Nathan nice to meet you I'm Blair." she went to shake his hand but pulled her hand away. A huge smile came across her face. She peeked over his clipboard standing on her tip toes. "I'm the one you have to watch out for. I'm a wild one, might actually want to get some night patrol to come find me causing trouble once in awhile." Blair smiled thinking she was hilarious. "Has ever one ever told you're way to good looking to be a camp counselor Bet you have the campers dropping their jaws." She stood their looking at Nathan innocently. "Am I free to go?"

"Good to meet you, Blair..." he mumbled in focus, eyebrows creasing as he went through the alphabetical list of names until he found hers. Blair Sterling. His gaze lifted when the blonde peered over to look at his clipboard and his mouth pulled upwards into a crooked smirk. After jotting a few things down, Nathan inhaled softly and held the clipboard by his side again while he waited for the other to finish. Her facial expression read innocence although Nathan knew better than that. "Flattering but no," he answered humorlessly. The male glanced towards the cabin and shifted his lips as if he were contemplating something. "And since you're such a night owl I guess I should install a lock on the door... one that can only be accessed from the outside." He rubbed his slightly-stubbled jawline thoughtfully and shrugged his shoulders in a considering manner. "That or get some dogs. Rotties. Pitbulls. Maybe even both," he trailed off, looking back to Blair with a challenging sort of smirk. "What do you think about that?" The other counselors sure as hell didn't have any rules and would without a doubt let their campers roam freely at night, though Nathan wasn't about to let that happen. He could care less about what they did during the day, but at night, they were to remain in their cabins. Nathan made a mental note to remind his campers of their curfew.
