Chimelu had been wandering Jauhar for a very short time and thus far he could honestly say he was enjoying himself. He had a clearer idea of what he wanted to do with his life as well, which was helpful. However, he still wasn't going to commit himself until he got back home after traveling. Or at least he thought that's what he would do.

After about an hour of walking around the town of Neued, Chimelu made a stop by a food vendors stall to grab something to eat. His meal consisted of meat on a stick which was absolutely delicious in his opinion. With the food in hand he sat himself down on a small seat that had been setup around the stall while he began to munch away at the meat. "This is so good." He nearly moaned from the flavor that enveloped his taste buds. There was nothing particularly special about this meal other than the chef's personal touch but that seemed to do the trick. As the offspring of nomadic parents he was used to having to eat while traveling but he had to admit he enjoyed sitting down to eat the most.

As Chimelu sat on the seat eating his food he took the time to look around the area he could see from his position. The town seemed to be really active and his eyes were still a little wide from the shear number of other people. Plus all the different races that inhabited Tendaji. Before this journey, Chimelu had only ever encountered Ice and Wind people--the latter was a given since he was one himself. Once the war began, however, his world seemed to expand with it. When it had ended he had traveled to Oba to watch the boat sail away and afterwards he decided that he was finally to see more of the world. Which led him to his current place. So far the journey hadn't been to eventful but he had met another Alkidike just a couple days ago. His first had been in the war. "Pretty nice." He mumbled as he thought of the two women he had met. They certainly weren't hell-bent on killing him or anything which he hadn't believed them to be anyways.

"Now what should I do?" He asked himself as took his last bite.

Cyn looked down towards his shaking right hand, a mixture of worry and frustration on his features. Clenching his hand into a fist a few times he'd sigh and begin to walk once more. After the war his hand had started to shake, a side effect undoubtedly caused by the battle. Cyn was unsure of how many arrows he had shot, or if any lives he took, if any and the doubt killed him. Things became a blur of movement after the first arrow had been let loose from his bow, and now Cyn found himself roaming the world to help clear his head. He hasn't needed his bow much on his trip so far but the times he did nearly got Cyn in trouble. Remembering his training and forcing himself into a mental calmness were the only reasons he came out with no new scars from his trip.

Cyn found himself now in Jauhar which was drastically different to the place he called home. As he walked Cyn took his now still hand and wiped his brow to clear the sweat from it. The heat wasn't the problem, it was the humidity as Tale was a very dry place half of the year. In fact the discomfort was beginning to become to much and the leaf male needed to sit for a moment, maybe find something to drink or drink from his quickly depleting waterskin. As he looked around for a place to rest, Cyn noticed the abundance of other races that walked around him. He wasn't unaccustomed to them, but living his life thus far only in Tale meant he mainly had encountered those of the various Leaf tribes.

An intoxicating smell reached the thought struck male's nostrils and his stomach growled immediately to his own embarrassment. Following the smell Cyn found himself in front of a stall that sold the simplest of dishes but it didn't matter in the least, they looked like the best thing to Cyn right now. He promptly asked for one and also asked if he could get something to drink to go with them and sate his thirst. After giving the owner sufficient payment Cyn was handed both a wooden cup and a stick of meat. The feel of the stick's wood caused Cyn's hand to shake momentarily almost dropping it. Clenching his hand's muscles hard, Cyn managed to keep the meat in his grasp and thanked the vendor. As he sat, Cyn raised the cup to his lips and downed half the contents without a second thought. He wasn't even sure if it had been water in the cup, he was just glad it felt cool in his mouth, and down his throat. He'd sigh in relief before raising the simple dish up to take a bite. Unconsciously his grip was still clutched hard onto the thin stick and while he chewed, Cyn took a breath to relax himself. Though to the others that might see him it might look like he was trying to cool the food down by in taking air.

Cyn hadn't taken much care to where he sat so long as a person hadn't already been in the seat he chose. Once again his eyes scanned out into the passing people. Not long ago he attended a meeting on what to do to repel or talk to the extremists. It seemed that the world had gone back to some semblance of normal quickly and Cyn was thankful for that. The war though short left a mental scar on Cyn. He wished Syqvara and his father were still alive so he could speak to him about all this. He was sure their father would have some sort of wisdom to impart on Cyn that would help. Maybe he could talk to Syq about all this, she did go through it all too. He hadn't thought of that and instead left once the Alkidike extremists had been dealt with.

Taking another bite while lost in his thoughts Cyn bite down on the stick snapping him back into reality. He looked down embarrassingly to notice he had wolfed down the meat while his mind wandered. Quickly Cyn raised the cup up to take a drink and tried acting normal once again. Syqvara was supposed to be the klutzy distracted one not him.

While Chimelu had been eating and looking around for what to do next he had noticed a redheaded boy sit a couple benches away from him but he seemed to be lost in his thoughts so he hadn't immediately attempted to make conversation. When the stranger bit into his stick he smiled lightly as the boy looked at the meal he had eaten and seemed to try to brush what happened off by taking a drink. Chimelu decided that maybe this guy needed a distraction. "Hello. I noticed you're an archer." He said gesturing to the bow. His own bow laid across his back but he was beginning to realize that while the weapon was a decent fit for him, it wasn't perfect. He had an idea of what might be but he still needed to research it a bit more before making it even more than a passing thought.

"What made you decide to use the bow?" He asked, genuinely curious to know the strangers answer. "I'm Chimelu." He said after he stood up and walked over to stranger, his hand outstretched.

Sorry for the late reply/short post! Also, I assumed he has his bow on his person. >w<

It's no problem. I can take some time too, all depends on what I have going on or if inspiration strikes.

Cyn's eyes looked over to the one that had spoken to him. After wetting his throat again with another sip, he put the cup down letting it rest on the bench next to him. Cyn stood up to meet the other male eye to eye, height differences aside. Taking the outstretched hand in his own, Cyn gave Chimelu a firm but brief handshake. "Cyn, and I chose the bow because it made the world stop." It was a strange reason, and saying it aloud was slightly embarrassing but it was also the truth. "As I decided what to do with my life, I tried out many weapons of war to follow after my father. The sword felt right, and I received praise when I sat in on a lesson but the bow..." With a pause, Cyn examined the parts of Chimelu's bow that were visible. It was of a good make, and it was clear the male took care of it to some extent. "...the bow felt natural. When I first drew back the string my senses heightened and it felt like the world had slowed to a crawl. For a young lad that was an indescribable feeling." Before seating himself, Cyn made a gesture to the space next to where he'd sit. "Now, what made you choose the bow? It can't be anymore embarrassing than mine." Cyn was trying to be nice, throw in a small joke at the end there. He was unsure why this man had came up to him, and for some reason it made Cyn feel defensive. Maybe it was because it was his first time talking to someone so randomly, or maybe it was his lack of social interactions. Who knows.

Chimelu smiled back and felt confident in the stranger’s handshake. At first Chimelu was unsure what Cyn was referring to when he mentioned the world stopping, however, as he continued to explain Chimelu found he could relate to the same feelings. When using his bow he knew he was good and it felt good but there always seemed to be something missing. It wasn’t until he began looking into the crossbow that he realized what was missing. ”When did you get your hands on a bow to realize that was the path you needed to take?” He asked, sitting where the boy gestured to. ”Your story is very good. Not embarrassing at all.” He reassured, hoping that the boy knew that he really didn’t see it as a detriment.

At the boys question Chimelu smiled and even chuckled a little. ”It’s not really embarrassing.” He paused. ”Like you said, the bow has felt good and was much better than a sword or lance. Just. . . It felt like something was always missing. Almost as if this was close to what I needed but not quite. I wanted a little more control in my weapon, I guess.” He added. ”The bow is great but I’m considering using a crossbow. It allows you a little more control and allows for different techniques that I feel the bow doesn’t quite give me.” Chimelu rubbed his forearm in contemplation. It was much harder than he thought to put into words what he felt and wondered if Cyn had encountered the same issue. ”I guess you just know.” He laughed again. ”I’m still trying to figure out if I’m ready to make the leap though. Talking to you has helped a little.”
