Ninjutsu (忍術; Literally meaning "Ninja Techniques") refers to any technique that utilizes chakra and allows the user to perform actions that a normal person otherwise would be incapable of doing. Unlike genjutsu, which causes the opponent to experience illusions, the effects of ninjutsu are real and physical in most cases. Ninjutsu relies on chakra and, most of the time, hand seals to be effective. The hands are put in sequential positions that molds and manipulates chakra in the necessary manner to perform a jutsu. This is not always needed, however, and some jutsu become second nature to experienced ninja, after which they can perform them at will. Additionally, many ninjutsu can be classified as an elemental jutsu, in those cases where a specific element (wind, water, fire, earth, lightning) is used.

Along with further descriptions of guild usage, below are links to each of the various Ninjutsu elements.

• After the initial activation post, Ninjutsu does not take up a jutsu slot for further usage so long as it has a constant chakra sustain.

• Genin cannot learn techniques past [ B ] Rank.
• Chuunin cannot learn techniques past [A] Rank.
• Special Jounin, Jounin, Konin cannot learn techniques past Rank.
• Kages & Village Leaders have access to techniques that are [S+] in the guild. However exceptions can be made based upon the Kage or Village Leader's decision to allow/ teach ninja no lower than Jounin an [S+] Jutsu.

Chakra is needed to perform attacks such as ninjutsu, genjutsu, bloodline techniques, and certain taijutsu and bukijutsu. At the bottom you will see a simple chart that gives you the cost of techniques based on their rank.

The chart to the right shows ninjutsu elements and their strength and weakness. Techniques do not deal additional damage when they make contact with a ninja who has inferior chakra elements, instead if the superior technique collides with the inferior one, the superior will over power and beat the weaker one. ( Fire beats Wind | Wind beats Lightning | Lightning beats Earth | Earth beats Water | Water beats Fire )
In this guild, ranks will be decreased to show disadvantage:
• The inferior element will lose a single or one [1] rank of effectiveness against its weakness.
• Techniques that are facing one another, the inferior or weaker one will be absorbed or destroyed by the stronger one.

Other Important Notes:
Down here you will see other very important notes in regards to techniques or ninjutsu that needed to be clarified for guild use. Please note that some of these ideas (such as Body Flicker, Substitution, & Clone Limitations) came from the guild [ Shinobi Nations ] with permission.

Body Flicker Technique:
• Shunshin no Jutsu [ Body Flicker Technique ] can only be used three [3] times per battle.
• Preparation of one [1] post is required for this technique. It is not instantaneous.

Substitution Technique:
• The substitution technique can only be performed four [4] times per battle.
• You must be near an object roughly the same size as your character.
• Other roleplayers' characters ( unless willing ) cannot be used as a substitute.
• Spawning random, faceless characters to use as substitutes is not permitted.
• All clones with the exception of the standard clone may be used as substitution.

Clone Technique(s):
• Unless otherwise stated, clone techniques only produce a single clone per usage.
• Unless otherwise stated, elemental clones cannot perform elemental jutsu other then their element.
• Clone(s) can use a single activation on the post they are created, and if chosen to make more clones, the second set of clones receive no activation until the following post. After the post of their creation, clones can perform a maximum of 2 activation a post.

Combination Technique(s):
• Combination techniques must have two or more beings to work.
• Combination techniques must be created under custom technique with two or more individuals or beings knowing it.
• Combination Techniques are no lower then [C Rank] techniques and will be treated as such.
• Combination Techniques will have two or more chakra elements or natures within them.
• Combination Techniques can only be used a total of three [3] times in any instant or situation.
