If I roll a one ima crawl into a sand whales mouth WELL ITS BETTER THAN A ONE

.... Well, a whale made of sand wasn't the strangest thing she'd seen.... but getting ballistas to fight... well sand, was one of them. That was a bit strange. But whatever, to each their own. She wasn't about to question someone else's tactics on how to fight something.

Whatever, she just had to get this thing to leave and then she could move on... to the next weird task this village sent her on.

Kailani blinked when she realized she was being addressed. "Oh... You again. Yeah... That's me. They sent you here too huh?" Kailani was beginning to wonder if this village was just prone to having other people fight its battles. Again, a strange tactic, but she wouldn't question it. Fighting wasn't for everyone... So if they could get someone to do it for them... so be it. "This certainly is a strange place huh?"

"It's Kailani by the way. We seem to keep running into each other, so I figure it's better if we learned each other's names. I... don't really know where my friend went off." Where ever Neithan had disappeared to, she hoped he was okay. "So.... on the off chance, you wouldn't happen to have done something like this before... would you??"

She loaded another ballista, aiming for.. it's flipper or something, anything that would cripple it and launched the weapon. It hit, just in it's back. "Damn it!"

"Wait. Again?! You mean this thing has shown up before?! What the hell is WRONG with this place. Yeah no. Strange doesn't even begin to cover it anymore. I've seen strange. I grew up in a freaking carnival. You wanna see crazy? Try getting ready for a show and sharing a mirror with ten other people. It's a freaking circus."

She blinked again. Conquest clan? "Oh... You're one of those... equestrian people aren't you? We never had anyone like that back home.. All I've ever learned about them is from books or rumors." Fia was the first she'd ever seen. "We never really... traveled, into areas where your kind were recorded as being in.. I never really understood why." But again, to each their own.

Kai repeated the notions of loading the weapon and taking aim. "Probably for the best, yeah? Four hands are better then two. Same with eyes I would hazard. It might help on any other rag tag 'missions' they send us on. I'm willing to bet at this point, they see us as free manual labor and want us to do all sorts of crazy a** tasks..." She was really beginning to wonder if something was up here. "...I doesn't make a lot of sense does it."

Kailani launched her final ballista and watched as the thing sailed clean into the creature. It didn't seem the least bit pleased with their attacks as it turned on the spot and started trudging off back to where it came from.

"You would think... that if this sand whale likes to terrorize this village and it's patrons, that they would have developed some sort of defensive structure by now. Well... something other then us I suppose. But it looks like they have nothing." It was all quite odd.

"You and the rest of us... I am quite ready to leave this bizarre place."

"It's probably only a matter of time before it comes back then... We better get out of this area before they assign it to us permanently. I am not worried so much about Neithan. He should be able to handle himself. But I would welcome your company none the less."
