As Dormouse and Wight walk along, Camilla couldn't help but think back on how they grouped up...

She was hot... So hot... And sitting on a thermally heated rock next to the entrance of a volcanic cave probably wasn't helping either... She hadn't managed to get the Powderstone out, but she had managed to leave it a mere seventeen feet away from the entrance! The Villager who asked her to get it was quite thankful for her efforts, and after checking on her health he left her be to recover.

And boy did she need a rest... Between the high altitude Balloon ride with the strange purple clouds and the smoky, sulfury, volcano with it's thin hot air... Camilla was feeling a little worse for wear... She had gotten her head to stop spinning though! And her breathing was better! But... She still had that strange tightness in her chest and that odd feeling in her head... It was... Worrisome... Had all this happened before the event with the Red Mist, she wouldn't have thought anything of it, but now... She didn't trust strangely colored mists or clouds... And the persistence of these strange feelings further made her unsure...

It was because of her recovering and musing that the Dormouse ghoul didn't see Shayne go into the Volcano. Because if she had she surely would have stopped him! She didn't hear his calling either, in fact, truthfully she hadn't even known he was on the bus... Thats why, as she rubs her head a bit in a vain attempt to get the odd feeling to go away, when the undead boil stumbled out of the volcano panting and sickly warm she was quite surprised!

"Shayne!?! Eep! Oh dear! Are you alright!?" she exclaims worriedly as she jumps up and comes to kneel beside him!

After that, there was a brief exchange before Camilla decided it would be best if they both got off the Volcano... She had faired badly in the volcanic cave, but it seemed the Wight boil suffered worse! Which was no surprise honestly, and she was frankly amazed he had the courage to go in there at all! Carefully, she helps her friend down the mountain before settling them both down on a fog cooled rock near the base of the mountainous Volcano.

After they had chatted a bit and once they were both cooled down, the pare decide to check out the Sand Harbour. She had seen it distantly from the Volcano and noticed it seemed abuzz with activity... far more then there was before...

And that was why they were now on their way.

Once they reach the Sand Harbour, it quickly becomes apparent why it was called such! A sea of sand that rippled like water soon came into view! (Ala FF12 style) "Ooo! Wow, wow! Shayne look! It's sand that's like water!" she exclaims excitedly! Then without wasting any time or waiting for him, she bounds down to the edge of the harbour and reaches curiously into the 'sand water'.

She half expected it to be warm and wet, yet it turned out to be completely dry and actually fairly cool due to the lack of sunlight! "Wow! Amazing! It's dry and cool to the touch!" she exclaims gleefully! So mysterious! Sand that moved and acted just like water but wasn't wet! It was beautiful too! The way each grain of sand seemed to catch the low light and sparkle like Diamonds...

Her revelry would be short lived however, as the sounds of loud gongs and panicked shouts soon fill the air! "Eek!" she yelps as the gongs and shouts catch her completely unaware! "W-whoa! What's going on!?" she shouts in surprise as she quickly gets to her feet! It soon became apparent what was the cause of the panic however... A HUGE dark shape could be seen on the horizon moving quickly towards the harbour...

Squinting, at first the Dormouse ghoul couldn't tell what it was, she could only see it was BIG! But soon, as it came closer and it's shape became clearer, Camilla's eyes widen in surprise! "Oh dear! A Sand Whale!" she exclaims worriedly! Finally, the beast was in full view of everybody on and around the Harbour! It was enormous! It's huge gaping mouth was full of large sharp teeth and she'd been told by the Dragonseer that these things could swallow whole buildings! Now she knew why he'd been so worried...

They had to do something... But... What... It wouldn't be a panicked cloaked villager running by with what looked like giant arrows that would give her the answer. In his haste he drops one right in front of Camilla, quickly she bends down to pick up the projectile. "Ballista!" she exclaims! "Shayne! We need to drive the Whale away with the Ballista!" she exclaims further before motioning towards the large crossbow like structures.

When the pare reached where most of the Ballista were, they'd find quite a varity to choose from! Camilla was familiar with one type from the Knight Dream, but she didn't have the Ammo for it...

There were five different types to choose from. The smallest two were Roma style Ballista. One shot large arrow like projectiles, like what Camilla had, and the other shot heavy metal balls. The next size up was another Roma Ballista. This one was much bigger however, and it shot large javelin like projectiles that could easily doubt as a spear in a pinch! Finally, there were two HUGE ones! The first was the Ballista the Dormouse ghoul was most familiar with, a huge crossbow like Medieval Ballista that shot gigantic spear like projectiles! It however took two creeple and was poor in accuracy. The last was basically a modernized version of the Medieval Ballista. It shot the same ammo and still required two creeple, but it was faster and more accurate! It did seem to make a horribly loud noise though... Like a Canon...

There also seemed to be a few Catapults, but they seemed reserved for the bombs.

Camilla's choice was clear, she only had Ammo geared for the smallest Ballista, and so thats what she went for.

Quickly, she checks the ropes and lines just to make sure they were secure and ready before getting started. After placing her arrow in the provided grove, she begins cranking the line back. When she heard the click telling her it was locked in, she begins aiming. Fortunately, while the Whale was sandy colored, it didn't blend in too well with the Sand Sea so getting a clear shot once it surfaced would be easy. What did concern the Dormouse ghoul a bit was her Ammo... Would this little(not so little) arrow even do any damage? It might... If she hit a weak spot... Camilla loved animals and hated to hurt them, but she felt little remorse over dealing with a creature that maliciously went out of it's way to cause pain and strife!

After aiming carefully, she waits till just the right moment... Before... There!

Click! Shhhhwwwwish! Thunk!

Bull's-eye! She waits until just after the Whale surfaces before pulling the lever and releasing her arrow! It flew true and imbeds itself right in the outer corner of the Whale's eye! Fortunately it didn't hit the eye itself just the corner. This was enough to spook the whale and cause it to thrash around in a slight panic! "Yay, yay! Alright!" she cheers while bouncing up and down before thrusting her fist into the air!

Once the Whale realized it eye was safe it stops thrashing. Now, it was mad! And it quickened it's advancement on the Harbour! "Oh dear..." she says worriedly as her cheering peters out... Frowning, she rubs subconsciously at the small red welt she got from the bowstring when it recoiled... She needed to find more Ammo... Or help Shayne with his shots... Wait, Yes! That was a good idea! If she helped Shayne, they could use the bigger Ballista! That might scare the Whale off better!

Before Camilla could reply to the undead boil, the Sand Whale trusts its body into the sky. After the beast lets out an angry cry, then it came crashing backdown into the sand like water. "Meep!" The undead boil cried out as he saw that he made the Sand Whale more trick off than before. The undead boil began to rush and loaded the Ballista once again. Powerful sand waves crashed into the harbour like they were in a great storm on the high seas. However, the falling sand sparkle like diamonds in the sunlight made the sky really pretty; if it wasn't the deadly sand whale attacking them.

"Come a little closer. Just a little bit more. FIRE!"

Once again, Shayne nailed the sand whale dead on. However, this time the arrow hit the corner of the other eye. However, the undean boil knew this wasn't no time to waste as the sand beast lets out another angry cry.

Another loud crashing sound fill the sky as another wave hits the harbor. This time, the impact knocked the undead boil backwards. However, he got back to his feet in no time. "He's getting too close!" Shayne yelled as rush back to the Ballista and reloaded it.

"Hold it! A little bit more! FIRE!"

The arrow shot into the air and enter deeply into the sand whale's skin. Was that enough to make the beast run away? To be honest, Shayne doesn't want to kill it, but he would like it stop attacking the harbor and its creeples.
