Your character(s) must interview two villagers. Villagers are all cloaked for some reason. Villagers may get disinterested when you ask too many questions, your goal is to acquire as much IC information as possible. Maybe they hold the key in your leaving.

Roll 1d10 and match your dice roll to the result below. That is the response they give you to your question. Your character can ask any question they formulate with the response always being the result below. If you roll the same number, you get the same response.

1. The villager glowers at you but does not reply to your question
2. The villager seems busy chopping firewood and is fastidiously ignoring you
3. The villager turns to look at you. They wave... at someone past you.
4. The villager is fishing. They reel in an invisible fish.. or is it just nothing.
5. The villager responds with a hearty grunt.
6. The villager looks you straight in the eye. "No."
7. The villager seems glum beyond their cloak. They mutter a few words involving the terms 'despair' and 'death'.
8. The villager is too busy looking at their toes.
9. The villager is cooking roast ghost fish, it smells delicious. They take out a skewer, offer you it, and then eat it before you can accept.
10. The villager seems passed out. Maybe you should leave them alone...

Brume Lake
Fog rises in lazy swirls, but the water itself seems eerily still. It doesn't seem likely, but this place is nearly over-run with many different types of fish…including many to be very weary of.

Spinar had wandered around the town for a few minutes then realized that every cloaked villager there was an a*****e. This fact luckily coming within a few tries of talking to them. They all were distant or didn't even bother to talk, just grunt at him. This place wasn't much of a tourist attraction though with the fog and oh so delightful residents then again maybe that was why. They liked peace and no visitors? Was the fog to keep people out? Spinar couldn't help but let his mind roam over a few options as he moved with no clear destination other than to hopefully find at least one decent villager to speak with. When his steps finally slowed the demon found himself squinting and peering out over a lake. The fog here rose in lazy swirls off the water but the water was calm, eerily so. Spinar couldn't help but edge closer to it thought as if the odd stillness itself was calling out to him.

"This place is a real scream.." He snorted to himself and looked down into the water, peering until the tails of a few fish caught his attention. One of which he knew to be a rather dangerous breed. "Well...well now." On a smirk he stepped back, foot snapping a twig as he backed up. Looking left at the sound of rustling he noticed it, a faint flicker of fire in the distance a bit from the lake. In the amber glow of it and barely visible through the fog was the shadow of a creature. "Hey!" Calling out Spinar started over unafraid and determined to find out where he was, upon approach he noticed a slightly visible wooden sign that read Brume Lake. Well that was one piece of the puzzle. But not enough jogging over to the cloaked villager cooking he inhaled deeply and made a hum of delight. Whatever he was cooking smelled delicious, "nice catch, " he started on charming and was rewarded with the figure holding out a skewer of food. A smirk and Spinar praised himself inwardly perhaps a little to long because by the time he tried to get the food it was taken back and ate. "....How rude." The demon pursed his lips and snorted shifting a little awkwardly as he stared at the figure.

What now?

Should he bother asking anything?

Maybe he didn't accept soon enough and to save himself embarrassment the villager just decided to retract the offer?

This is an additional mechanic to everything else. The more miasma your character accumulates the more chances they will go crazy. This will affect your RP. The rate you accumulate Miasma is dependent on the faction of your character. Refer to the MIASMA INFO in the main info thread for more information on this.

Students: Every time you gain Miasma, multiply it by x2. So, in a prompt if you gain +2 miasma, it is actually +4 for you.

Thinking it was the later Spinar lowered himself a touch to be on level with the sitting villager. Peering down to the other his mouth opened slowly, "so.. that fish any good?" He chuckled not waiting for an answer to the ice breaker instead he added, "listen I don't suppose you could tell me where I am?" A hand slid into his pocket and produced his wallet. Bribery wasn't above the demon after all, 'I have a few shiny silver seeds with your name on them if you can.." He tempted pulling them out and giving them a shake in front of the cloaked face.

Nothing.

For a good long while the cloaked figure simply peered into the fire before turning and looking him directly in the eyes with a "...Tch....." Spinar frowned and stood up. A snort. Really hm? Well, a foot reared back and kicked a pile of dirt onto the fire, "oops." Smirking he wandered back towards town very proud of himself. After all if they were going to be rude, the frost demon could be a very prickly pain in their side as well. It was only fair right? Besides this dinky village what could they do, they needed some pranks to liven them up anyways.

As he entered the village again Spinar approached the first villager and bluntly asked, "you TELL me where I am!" The villager responded by once more looking him right in the eye but this time delivering a solid, "No." These creeple! The frost demon flounced away in a huff,

So rude.

So rude.
