This village was getting more ridiculous by the minute. Na'ima was just glad to keep her dress. How was she to find out anything about this place if the villagers kept asking her to do ridiculous tasks? Was that just how this place worked? It seemed more and more likely by the minute. Finally she stopped when she heard gongs being rung, shouting and commotion not too far off from her. Her brow raised. Was something attacking? In her usual relaxed pace she made her way toward the noises, only stopping when she'd climbed the wall that overlooked the harbor where everyone was panicking over...a whale? Golden eyes widened as she leaned forward, her hands resting on the edge of the wall as she watched with excitement. Now this was fascinating. It swallowed a building and she actually giggled with glee, clapping her hands together and pressing her fingers to veil-covered lips. This was fun! Could she just sit here and watch? It made a loud call of some kind, spitting sand from its blowhole like a normal whale in the ocean would do, and she laughed. How precious! What delightful destruction. A few villagers around her cried, complaining about the killer sand whale and begging her to help. Na'ima frowned, pouting behind her veil. Must she? Truly? Fighting things wasn't entirely her style, it was more Wrath's.. Where was he anyway? She had been all over this village by now with no sign of him. "He better not have gotten himself killed.." She muttered as she pushed away from the wall to make her way toward the things that would fend off the whale. If she had to.

Still splattered in blood, his hands, gloves, and metal claws stained with it, from the great turkey hunt of not thirty minutes prior, Wrath had gone back to his wandering around the village, now searching for Na'ima, Falair, or really, any horsemen that he might recognize at this point. He was feeling rather proud of himself for the bloody massacre he had participated in, and his excitement had lifted his spirits to the point where not even the dense and off-putting fog could dampen them again. Eventually, the ringing of gongs and cries of townspeople caught his attention. He knew that he should keep searching but....ah, those sounds were a call to battle, he could just tell! With a grin alighting his face, he headed in that direction, stopping only when he encountered a villager who was hurrying in the opposite direction, grabbing their arm and asking them what was going on. ---- Moments later he found himself heading towards the fray, the information of what they were dealing with logged away in his head. As he jogged along, belts and chains and small bits of armor clinking, he slowed down when he saw a familiar figure in front of him. And then he sped up again, coming up behind the mare and grabbing her around the waist to spin her around. "Na'ima!" He grinned through the dried blood splatter on his face, grabbing her with his other hand to hold her in place as he leaned down to press a hungry kiss against her lips, feeling a need to celebrate all the fun he'd been having.

Someone grabbed her by the waist and for a split second she had wound up her arm to strike, assuming it to be the villager who had stolen her clothes again, until she heard Wrath's voice. Finally! Her face broke into a smile, and she allowed herself to be spun around to face him. Her eyes widened. "Someone has been having fun," she laughed, already raising her arms to wrap them around his neck as he leaned in to kiss her. The kiss was happily returned, her fingers moving to tangle themselves in his hair, pulling with her excitement until she had to force herself to break away for air. She laughed again, leaning in to steal another kiss. "So whose blood is this?" Na'ima asked with a wide grin, her other hand moving to brush the back of her fingers against his blood-covered cheek. "It looks good on you. Want to kill a whale?" She purred, taking a moment to pull him down for one more kiss before letting him have a chance to finally answer her.

More kisses would never be denied, and he only happily returned them, losing himself in the warm feel of lips against his, in the excitement of the hunt that had put him in such a good mood to begin with, in the pounding of his own blood in his ears as he forgot, momentarily, that they were very much in a public place, his hands squeezing and gliding to rest on her hips. When she broke away, he was still grinning. "Not a who, to some amount of regret, but a what. The natives asked me to go hunting for them." Before he could answer her question, another kiss was graciously received, and when she pulled away, he nipped his teeth against her jaw before answering, his voice slightly deeper than usual. "Well, that was the plan, unless you have other things in mind that we could occupy our time with."

The squeezing to her hips earned Wrath a delighted laugh, her hands moving to reach up and grasp his horns, fingers following their twisted shape. "Hunting? How kind of you. I was asked to fly a balloon into the sky, there also would appear to be a virus outbreak. Do be careful when we are apart, mm? I would hate for my favorite stallion to die." Grinning, Na'ima lowered a hand to press the tip of one finger to his lips, her voice entirely too amused by his answer. "Such things can wait until we are home, do be patient." Her finger fell away, giving his bottom lip a playful tug with the tip of her nail before dragging down his chest until she was able to free herself from his hands. "I quite enjoy watching this whale destroy everything in sight, but I suppose it would be in our best interests to fend it off while we are here so it does not eat us." Shrugging, she then approached a ballista with a wary look. She had absolutely no idea how this thing worked. Instead Na'ima looked to Wrath. "Have you ever used one of these?"

With a mock, very heavy sigh, Wrath let his hands drop from her waist, but was soon smiling again as they made their way to the harbor, and towards the weapons that were made ready for their use. "Ah yes, a shame to be sure but... killing things!" He reminded her with an excited gleam in his eyes. "Killing very big dangerous things." Eyeing the ballista, he frowned a little as he reached out to run a hand over it. "Actually, yes. In that dream." He replied, giving his head a small shake. "Which is to say no, I have not, and yet I still know how."

Na'ima couldn't help but laugh again. "Sometimes you sound like a horseman of War, it is adorable that look you get when you are about to kill something," she teased good naturedly. She'd never had the pleasure of seeing him fight something other than herself before today, it was enlightening. And entertaining. Ah, that dream. How handy. However the woman from her dream never used one of these herself, like Na'ima she preferred a subtle approach that snuck up on its intended but was still just as deadly as a ballista flying at you from a distance. "You are lucky, I do not have that luxury..however..." She was a quick learner. Na'ima waited to watch someone else use one next to her, watching them with a critical eye before setting about attempting it herself. The shot flew through the air, nailing the whale in the back. Na'ima let out a cry of delight, clapping her hands in an entirely fillyish manner. She hit it! "It is like a game~." HP: 39 Whale HP: 190

Wrath snorted, and gave his eyes a roll. "I should not be compared with those bird brains. All they care about is battle, and nothing more. While it is true that I enjoy a good fight, a good kill, and a lot of blood, there are other things that are just as important." Like the thing that she had promised they would get to do when they got back home. Yes. Priorities. Standing at the ballistas, he shrugged his shoulders. "I suppose luck is a word for it." He stated, before watching her attempt, and succeed, at using the hefty device. He let out a low whistle. "Very nice." He grinned, before stepping forward and trying one out for himself, letting it fly and strike a solid blow against the whale itself. HP: 39 Damage: 10 Whale HP: 180

" Oh? My apologies, I will not do it again." She smiled, giving the stallion a sidelong glance. "Tell me what else you find important, I am curious." Na'ima watched him set up his ballista and hit the whale before moving to do the same. She could feel her bones straining to move the thing but at least they weren't cracking. Nevertheless once the shot was fired she took a moment to check her arms. "I need more bangles," she muttered as she moved her arms back and forth to test how far the ones she was already wearing would go. She was proud of her arms but things here were hitting them far much more than she would like. HP: 38 Whale HP: 170

"You are always curious." He replied, a little distantly as he watched the whale's movements. Each shot that hit it seemed to send it reeling back slightly, and it's approach back to where it had once been was almost hesitant. Could it be near defeat so soon? Manning the ballista once more, he fired off a shot shortly after Na'ima, before her voice had him glancing towards her once more. Looking at her arms, he frowned slightly, and then turned towards her. His own arms were adorned with their usual fur lined leather and steel, though these gloves ended a few inches above his wrists, where after that he wore fur lined leather bracers up to his elbows. Taking these off one at a time, he held them out towards here. "Here. These can do for now." HP: 38 Damage: 10 Whale HP: 160

"Does that bother you?" Na'ima asked with clear amusement. Their initial relationship had been experimenter and test subject, it couldn't possibly surprise him that much that she was always curious, could it? While he shot off another ballista she inspected her arms, picking at a chip from the basilisk scratching her earlier. Hm. That would heal, at least it was all she had so far. She had been about to man the ballista again when Wrath's voice pulled her attention away from it. She blinked, looking to him and then to the bracers he was offering her. Golden eyes widened slightly as she took them from his hand, turning up to Wrath with surprise. "Thank you.." Pursing her lips to hide a smile, Na'ima took a minute to remove all of her bangles first, easily sliding them over delicate hands and then setting them down at her feet. "Help me put them on?" She asked gently, waiting for his assistance before reaching down to pick up her bangles again. They wouldn't fit over the leather so they were tucked away in a pouch at her hip. She looked her arms over with her new leather bracer addition, finally allowing herself to smile as she reached over to pull Wrath to her by his vest, stealing a gentle kiss from his lips. "Thank you," she said again before releasing him to finally fire off the ballista shot. It hit, the whale let out a loud groaning sound that echoed around them. "This is fun! I wonder how much--" And then it was swimming away. What--hey?! Na'ima actually looked disappointed. HP: 37 Whale HP: 150

"No, it does not." he replied. "I am only stating a fact." His lips twitched up in a small smile, and he wondered if he had managed to avoid having to answer her question for the moment. He was, as she probably already noticed, not a man of many words, and more one for action. If she pressed him, however, he would eventually answer her in an effort to sate hr curiosity, though from past experience it seemed like answering one of her questions often earned him many more asked. When she accepted the bracers, he did as she asked and helped her to put them in place. They were large on her, of course, but he was able to cinch them tight enough at least that they would not fall off over top of her hands. He noticed the chip she had been picking at before it was covered, and mentally chastised himself for not offering her this bit of protection sooner. Ah well, with his "gift" given, and a reward granted (he murmured a "Your welcome" against her lips before she could pull away completely), he watched as she fired off another direct hit onto the whale. He was about to compliment her on yet another job well done, when the thing began to swim away. He frowned in disappointment as well. "We didn't even get to kill it!" He complained.

Na'ima pouted, crossing her arms and shaking her head. That was hardly fair, they were going to kill it. "This method is clearly too inefficient to kill it before it swims away, they need to come up with something better." Her eyes widened as she looked up to Wrath. "Something to keep it in place, perhaps. Why have they not thought of this?" Smiling again, she raised a hand to rub Wrath's arm in a comforting gesture. "We will kill it next time. Come, I am sure we can find something else for you to kill." She turned her smile up to him. "I do like watching you in action." Turning to walk away, Na'ima stopped when someone started to call out to them. "Miss! Sir! Wait, you forgot these!" Na'ima blinked and looked back to one of the cloaked villagers, a tiny thing carrying..what...? "We went to get these for you. As our thanks for chasing off the sand whale! Here are some of its fins it left behind!" Na'ima chuckled. "Rathsvith, look. We get trophies." Nodding to the cloaked villager, the mare reached out to take both fins, offering one of them Wrath. "Not a complete waste of time, I hope?" Seussi I SHALL GO START THE FISHING QUEST
