Your character has been invited by a villager to harvest on top of the remote glacier infringing on the northern outskirts of the village. What an honour!
- The walk is very steep and treacherous. You are allowed to harvest as much as you'd like until you slip and fall down the glacier all the way back to town (must remake thread). This quest is only considered completed if you get the rare machalite ore.
Roll 1d6 and continue rolling until you slip and fall back to town OR get the machalite ore. Really, whatever comes first. Make sure to rp it out.
1. You spot some beautiful crystal fragments. You manage to get the machalite ore! 2. You get distracted by a pile of bones and gather some bone fragments that are ultimately useless because you're not a gunner 3. You get distracted by some honey. It is delicious. 4. You get distracted by a pile of herbs. You pick some herbs and ask the villager what they are. He says "herbs". They are barely edible. 5. You accidentally slip and fall back to town! Oh no! (Quest fail!) 6. You find a great spot to fish but you didn't bring your fishing rod.

Ellinore was super excited. She had never been harvesting before, plus unlike all the other things the villagers had wanted her to do she had someone with her this time. That made it even more fun! As they climbed the glacier she looked over at her partner. He was dressed better then her. She wondered if when she went to school would she have to get more appropriate clothing. "I like your feathers. Must help keep you warm." she said with a nod of her head. She never got cold, but she imagined that having feathers would help regulate ones temperature. She wondered what kind of being he was, but didn't want to ask. It wasn't the most polite thing to ask beings what they were, even she knew that.

Vaudrey had stumbled across the ghoul rather unintentionally in his attempts at finding his way back to the bus. It had failed, rather epically, but at least the egg he'd managed to snag was tucked away neatly before he'd been recruited to help the villagers.
Now he was just trying to act like he completely and utterly belonged, feathers flipping behind him dramatically as he waked. Vaudrey turned his head to look at the ghoul and beamed a too-bright smile in her direction, eyes crinkling at the corners.
"Thank you, beautiful lady!" he trilled, positively preening. "I am very fond of my feathers, but you are quite lovely yourself, just so you know - "
Vaudrey tripped, sprawled himself flat on the ground, and found himself face to face with a little cluster of plants. He hastily got to his feet, trying to look as though the fall had been completely intentional, and plucked a few plants free, thrusting them at one of the villagers.
"WHAT ARE THESE?" he asked excitedly.
The answer to his question was an unhelpful grunt, a taste test, and then a screech of disgust as Vaudrey nibbled on the corner of one and promptly spat them ungracefully back out.

He was so awesome! How lucky was she to get paired with someone who was not only attractive, but also very kind.
Ellinore was about to thank him for his compliment when all of a sudden he was on the floor! "Oh dear," she moved to help him back up but he was much quicker then she was and was standing once again, herbs in his hand. Did he do that on purpose, to get the herbs? It would make sense, the closer one was to the ground the easier to pull the herbs up by the root. So he was good looking, kind and smart!
"Yes what are they!" she echooed after him, looking at the villager unexpectedly.
When the being tried them and then spite them out she frowned. "He could have told us that. As much as we help them the villagers could be more helpful towards us."

"Forgive me!" said Vaudrey hastily, trying to cover up his clumsiness with a nervous laugh and a quick smoothing down of his hair once more, as though everything he'd done up until now was intentional (it wasn't). He shifted his feet, flashed the ghoul a bright smile, and said hastily, in an effort to change the focus off of himself, "I'm terribly sorry, it was awfully rude of me not to ask your name! I am Vaudrey Scarlett, what is yours?"
He gave an emphatic nod. "Indeed! They should make us aware when things are, erm, inedible! You are quite right - ooooh, look at this!"
Vaudrey swooped down, crouching, and a few seconds later was happily licking something sweet and sticky from his fingers.

Oh course she forgot to introduce herself! That was just so much like her! Ellinore shook her head and held out a hand towards him. "No it was rude of me not to offer, my names Ellinore Hogget. Though you are welcome to just call me Ellie. Everyone but my dad does." she liked her full name, but it was so much easier to just go by her nickname.
She nodded vigrously and when he swooped down she hoped he would find something better then the horribly tasting herb this time. She looked over at the villager with him but he didn't say anything. However she seemed to get her answer as Vaudrey was soon licking his fingers. "Oh good it's tasty this time! What is it?"

"A pretty ghoul is never rude!" Vaudrey declared in a scandalized tone, as though this was a very dramatic statement that should be recognized as the gospel truth (it wasn't). He grasped her hand in his talons and stared at her meaningfully. "I would be honored to call you Ellie, dear ghoul!"
Then he let go and turned away hastily before she could see that he had no idea what he was doing.
"It's honey!" he said, beaming up at her. "It's very sweet, but quite sticky! I'm not quite sure how to - oh, dear."
Vaudrey had managed to get his talons stuck together, and he quickly flapped them behind his back, all but sparkling at Ellie as if this was a completely normal occurrence that he'd totally meant to do.
Five minutes later he was crooning about fishing, because fish were delicious, but the lack of a fishing rod made him disappointed.

He was the kind of person she wanted to be friends with! When he took her hands in his talons she blushed, staring back into his eyes. However soon he released her hands, leaving them with honey all over them. With a smile she sucked on her fingers until they were clean.
"Oh yes very sweet. Good thing we can eat it off." she said not even noticing that he had stuck his talons together because she was engrossed in the honey on her hands.
As he spoke about the fishing she nodded. She agreed that the spot they were passing looked like it would be good for fishing, although she wasn't sure since she had never fished herself, but that it was a shame the villagers didn't bring rods with them.

He may or may not have accidentally gotten her fingers all sticky with honey, but Vaudrey didn't seem to notice this, still beaming around brightly at their situation. His smile was still a little too wide and too sparkling to be actually genuine, but it was hiding the total ridiculousness that Vaudrey currently felt, at the very least.
"Fishing is a crucial aspect of living a good life," he told Ellie seriously, because fish were a serious business. "It's important to eat well, you know!"
He got distracted approximately five minutes later when he saw something shiny.
"LOOK LOOK WHAT I FOUND!"

Hum, she'd have to go fishing then. If he said it was crucial aspect of a good life then she was really missing out. "Yes, if you don't you could die." she said with a nod.
When he spotted the machalite ore she started looking around and quickly found one as well. "Lookie! I got one as well!" she said excitedly.
