Cor Caroli wanted to go home. There had been one doozy of a youma going after him earlier, and all that running had tuckered him out. Maybe he really did need to get out more often; it felt like he got winded more easily these days. The whole "nearly getting killed by a youma" thing was not really an incentive to go out, even if he had met an interesting person along the way. He did like people, but not enough to risk his life to meet them. Maybe.

Exhaling heavily, he plopped down on a bench in one of Destiny City's numerous parks. He briefly considered taking a snooze, but his bed would be so much more comfortable. There was also the matter of that very big aura in the vicinity. An Eternal senshi was nearby, and that was intriguing on its own. He hadn't met one since Megrez the puffski girl. Who would this one turn out to be?

Now that the Eternal was coming closer, Cor Caroli noticed something very odd about the aura. Though he could feel the cool brightness of an Order aura, he also felt prickles of Chaos too. They were definitely coming from the same direction, maybe even from the same person, which was incredibly weird. Maybe there was a corruption in progress? No, then the aura wouldn't be moving.

The sound of Maia's voice caught his attention, and he was about to respond normally before she very abruptly revealed her intent to beat him to paste. "Wh-wha-"

He had no time to say anything, or even push her hands away. He flew to the side and landed in a most ungainly fashion. In a tangle of limbs, he scrambled to face up. "Are you okay?" he asked, trying to scoot away as he did so. In retrospect it was a dumb question; nothing with an aura like that was probably okay.

It was a strange and thoroughly creepy experience; the Eternal senshi had a sweet-sounding voice, and when it was paired with those violent words, it sent a shudder through Cor Caroli's body. He let out a short, harsh yelp when she pulled him to his feet; it was another peculiar dichotomy in the actions of this senshi. The gesture was, in a twisted way, supportive, but considering that it was just to set him up for another pummeling, no hidden support could be really gleaned from the action.

A blow to the stomach knocked him down once more, knocking the wind out of him. As he desperately tried to reclaim his breath, he was finally certain of the senshi's killer intent. She was going to break him thoroughly if he stood there and tried to do anything with her. Something was wrong, and he needed to get out of there and tell someone about it. Scrambling to his feet, he pulled out his phone and hit the button to send out an SOS signal. The parks and the areas around them always had some sort of senshi traffic; surely someone would get the signal and come help? He began to back away, getting ready to run.

The force of the phone being ripped out of his hand would have taken nails off if Cor Caroli's hand had been positioned any differently. He took the kick solidly and landed on his behind, making pathetic noises as the blows kept coming. He tried to scoot back and away, but it seemed like there would be no escape.

Meanwhile, a little ways away, Glitnir felt a very strange aura coming from further in the park. It was Eternal level, and probably that of a senshi, but it had both Chaos and Order elements in it. It was certainly a very unsettling combination, and one worthy of exploring. Was there a corruption going on?

As he approached, Glitnir felt a basic level senshi's aura as well, which made him speed up. If an Eternal was being corrupted, that poor little basic senshi was most likely next. When he finally arrived on the scene, he stopped in his tracks. That was Cor Caroli, and he was getting the stuffing beat out of him by an Eternal senshi. "What are you doing?!" he called out, readying his scale to give Maia a whack. He didn't want to rough her up too badly, but something was definitely very wrong.
