Your character(s) must interview two villagers. Villagers are all cloaked for some reason. Villagers may get disinterested when you ask too many questions, your goal is to acquire as much IC information as possible. Maybe they hold the key in your leaving.
Roll 1d10 and match your dice roll to the result below. That is the response they give you to your question. Your character can ask any question they formulate with the response always being the result below. If you roll the same number, you get the same response.
1. The villager glowers at you but does not reply to your question 2. The villager seems busy chopping firewood and is fastidiously ignoring you 3. The villager turns to look at you. They wave... at someone past you. 4. The villager is fishing. They reel in an invisible fish.. or is it just nothing. 5. The villager responds with a hearty grunt. 6. The villager looks you straight in the eye. "No." 7. The villager seems glum beyond their cloak. They mutter a few words involving the terms 'despair' and 'death'. 8. The villager is too busy looking at their toes. 9. The villager is cooking roast ghost fish, it smells delicious. They take out a skewer, offer you it, and then eat it before you can accept. 10. The villager seems passed out. Maybe you should leave them alone...

Why were all these weirdos hiding their faces? Maybe it was because they were ugly. Or maybe... they were HIDING something. A terrible secret? Something awesome? Whatever it was, Maddie wanted to find out. And if it was an item, she wanted it.
She also wanted food, so she approached one of the villagers roasting fish. It was some weird-looking fish, but it was food, and fish, and she was hungry. It also smelled really good, and she couldn't help but grin. Why, how beary nice of them~
Before she could lean in and take a bite out of it, the villager ate it. The AUDACITY. That was HER fish. Maddie grumbled, wondering if she could bite the villager instead.

She'd followed Maddie obediently, and now Alette was Concerned.
She was Concerned because in all the walking they'd done, she had yet to find a cute boil to cling to if there was anything scary. Not only that, but the inhabitants of the place seemed completely unhappy and totally not interested in talking to them, which was a shame, because they were really two very amazing ghouls, if Alette did say so herself.
She watched Maddie try and talk to one - and then let out a gasp of horror.
"He just ate your food!" Alette whispered loudly, sounding scandalized. "That was totally yours! Here, I'll try to talk to him too!"
She marched up determinedly.
"Excuse me, but did you know that you can't just take someone's food?" That's rude, you know?"
Alette may as well have been talking to a wall. The villager was lying on the ground, looking pretty much dead, and she scuttled back over to where Maddie was standing, lifting her chin and giving a firm nod.
"He's taking a nap," she said importantly.

It was a shame Maddie didn't share Alette's sentiment, because she thought boils were dumb. However, she did agree they were both awesome, amazing ghouls who were SO much cuter than any boil. MUCH cuter.
"I know" she huffed, still upset about it. "He needs to be taught a lesson." Maddie would have totally went with Alette to berate the villager again, but something else caught her eye. Another villager was fishing, and Maddie was still kinda hungry. Hopefully THIS one wasn't such a-
She stared as the villager reeled in... nothing. What? How could they catch nothing? That's dumb. Or maybe it was invisible? Which was also a silly idea because there was no such thing as invisible fish.
Well, maybe Lettuce would have better luck... Maddie turned to see the previous villager slumped over as Alette was returning. Whoa, did she...
Her report might have made Maddie tear up a little. Had Lettuce knocked that guy out for eating her food? She was so proud.
"I have taught you well, Lettuce." She crossed her arms and nodded. SO PROUD.
