The village is running low on food and it is up to you to find some steaks and cook them for the village. You are granted exactly one portable spit though you will have to do the hunting yourself.

Right in the outskirts of the village are EVIL HAND TURKEYS. They have 10 HP each, which your character will have to defeat in normal battle combat style (attack with the dice mechanics of your current character until it hits 0 HP). They do -2 auto damage to you every time you hit it. When you have defeated a turkey, you can carve from it, a turkey steak.

Roll 1d10 to cook your steak. If you roll 1-5 your steak is raw, if you roll 6-8 your steak is perfect, if you roll 9-10 you steak is unedible. Only RAW and perfect steaks are allowed.

gaia_smilies/icon_star.gif If you acquire a perfect steak, it is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list.

"Nothing." Uru growled as he marched toward the outskirts of town. "How is it that a vacation spot is running low on food?" After many attempts, they had finally been able to find a location that had food available. However, what was being served was literal scraps of meat that was leftover. Brenna was okay with it, sympathetic and kind. Uru, on the other hand, was not going to let Brenna eat something like that. She deserved better than that. He had offered more seeds in order to get something better before getting the silent stare and glare. Uru had returned it with his own glare before being pulled away by the younger ghoul. "They want us to make our own meal?" He asked rhetorically as he held the spit in hand. He was familiar with the task, he is used to hunting and cooking his own catches.

"Well, there were some turkey outside of town that I saw on the way in..." Brenna mused, looking toward the outskirts of the village thoughtfully.

"You actually something through all of that?" He questioned, recalling the disaster that was their public transportation.

"Yeah! Come on, I'll even let you do all the hunting!" Uru eyed the ghoul unsure if it was her being herself or if she was actually taking advantage of him. In either case, he was going to opt to do the hunting anyway. He was better at it and it kept her safe. Plus, he was more confident in his own abilities.

Not even before the pair of hellhounds stepped out of the village, they were swarmed by turkeys. One particular gobbled dastardly before charging. Uru lept before his sister taking the brunt of the attack, swinging the spit to have it go away.

The turkey was relentless with its assault at the demon hound's shins. It's beak and feet scratching and pecking at whatever it could, hoping for a careless step to let loose some frenzied damage. Uru kept the spot between them, jabbing and poking at the turkey the best he could to keep it away. It was when it charged at Brenna was when he threw the spit hitting it decently before the metal rod skirted off.

"This would be a lot easier if you could use your FEAR!" Brenna shouted from her safe distance. Her hands funneled around her mouth, "Come on, get a good hit in!"

"You know I can't use my FEAR unless sanctioned!" Uru roared as he rushed after the wobbling turkey and for the spit. Sure, it would cook the damn thing, but he had rules he had to follow being a student. And a third year one at that.

Uru kicked the turkey as it attempted to go for the ghoul again. This was a ridiculous sight. A six foot demon running after a flapping, crazed turkey. No matter, he had told himself, he was doing it for their meal. Brenna was shouting and cheering him on with no care about her safety while he was being made to look like a fool.

Uru's HP: 42/50
Turkey's HP: 4/10

The turkey jumped, gobbled and threw itself at Uru's face. That would make anyone panick and jump back. Not his proudest moment but he would find solace that it wasn't the worst reaction he could have done.

Out of reaction, Uru threw out a fist, punching the assailant turkey. Right hooks and lefts, he let loose a barrage that left the feather creature motionless.

"You... Punched it to death." Brenna trailed as she approached, her arms around her as she looked down to the turkey. "I thought you would have pounced and ripped it's throat out with your teeth or clawed it open. But you... Punched it."

Uru simply gave her a glare that spoke spades.

"Fine, we can at least cook it now."

"I'm not letting you cook again." The brother commented as he ripped a good piece of the turkey off. A very raw turkey leg. Brenna had offered to cook it since Uru had done the work to kill it. When he had suggested that he could also cook it - being the supportive and kind provider he was - was shot down swiftly. And when he offered help, he was told to sit by the building and wait. He had waited and was offered with a poorly skinned, plucked, and undercooked leg. Sure, as demon hounds, raw meat wasn't a turn off. They were definitely hungry and this was definitely less expensive than buying scraps from the village. "Well... Could be worse. We could be starving."

"Good, remember that. I didn't have to share any with you!"

"I killed it..."

"And I cooked it" Brenna counted. "That also means you clean up! Haha, fair's fair."

"You... Did that on purpose."
