Cor Caroli was a lazy senshi, to put it simply. He kind of just wanted to sit around and relax through his last days of summer, maybe play around a little bit if he could find anyone who wasn't Silas (not bad at all, but more high-maintenance than he would like right now). He had been feeling hungry recently, and food didn't seem to sate him. It was an odd hunger for something he couldn't precisely place, and it was starting to get annoying. He had even brought trail mix on tonight's outing (sweet and salty) just in case he felt the need to munch again. Maybe he was just bored despite not wanting to do anything. The idea that maybe Silas was right and he needed to get out a bit more was what drove him to power up tonight, but he had a feeling nothing was going to get done. He'd wander around town, find nothing, give up and go to bed. Yawn. Except that he had already found something. A Page aura was around the corner in the park he was lazing in, and he made a beeline for it from his bench. It would be someone to talk to, and it would be more fun than sitting on the bench stuffing his face with trail mix because he didn't want to actually do his "job."

And how the hell am I expected to make it up there. It's not like anyone posts detour signs to get to Saturn. Even if there was a way, it's plainly obvious that Saturn is enormous compared to Earth, so finding Scholomance with no road signs or GPS is asking the impossible.
Visit your Wonder, she tells me. b***h.
The page glowered wordlessly up at the moon, scrutinizing gaze tracing over the shadow of loss that so often reshaped it. He only guessed that Venus twinkled yellow in the sky, and any position for Saturn was lost on him. Standing in the park offered shitty visibility for the whole of the starscape, but relocating away from the sodium light pollution helped with identifying that stars actually existed that evening. The page released a low, stuttering scoff at the position he was left in, and what expectations were set.
Scholomance's simmering irritation found no bounds while he looked up at the silent sky. A single phrase came to mind, and burned with an intolerable urge to speak it aloud - and to mean every word. It felt entirely too unlike him. It sounded serious, solemn, brave and willful. He turned the words over in his mind while he remained silent, gaze fixated on the stars, and temporarily lost track of all surrounding.
Among the flecks of light he stared, and the words formed a veil about his perceptions.
I pledge my life and loyalty to Saturn, and to Scholomance. I humbly request your aid, so that in return I may give you mine.
The break of branches and sudden auric pulse stirred him from the moment, and Scholomance cast his attention over his shoulder to see the boisterous approach of someone dressed in a slightly off-color pair of jeans and a shirt. Or was it? No, he supposed that alongside that auric burst came some bizarre outfit, but this one was lucky enough for a less dated look. The tousled hair suited the whimsy in his eyes, and easy mannerisms about his countenance. In fact, nothing about this man struck him as formal or stilted - he felt as though he looked at exactly what the man was, with no charade or circumstance to obscure his nature. It felt a balm compared to the myriad faces and farces that Isaiah dealt business with on a daily rate.
Scholomance smiled behind his half-mask, though only a measure reached his eyes. "Well, look at you. You don't look like you want to beat my face in. How pleasant." The dry comments found voice before the Customer Service remarks.
"You may call me Scholomance. You are?"

Another Saturn Page. Cor Caroli knew the symbol in the Page's hair well. Just looking at it brought flashes of memory to the fore: warm flesh, a gentle kiss from another time, a certain taste and scent. He had to shake his head to distract himself. Was he really that moonstruck with his memories that just the mere sight of a Saturn symbol would bring it all back and make him ache for the one he lost all over again? Apparently yes. He was aware that the Page was talking to him. "Hmm?" He crunched a pretzel in his trail mix thoughtfully before brightening up. "Oh, hi. Nice to meet you, Scholomance." He studied Scholomance for a moment, sizing him up. Dark hair was good, though it looked a little unkempt (seriously, though, who was Cor to call someone's hair unkempt, what with his 500 cowlicks and flyaways). Pale skin, complexion looked clear, though maybe he was a bit too pale (maybe). Skinny... that wasn't really a problem, though he didn't really seem that muscular under his garb. A pity, but nothing worth ruling him out. Maybe he'd only get a B or so on attractiveness, but he did have a sort of alluring mystery to him that begged for more investigation. Cor Caroli gave a single slight chuckle before continuing. "Nah, I don't really beat in the faces of people on my own side. I don't do a very good job of it anyway." A beat, and then he added, "I'm Cor Caroli, Senshi of Will. Glad to see there's someone else actually doing something tonight."

"'Doing something' is a bit of a stretch, Cor Caroli." His attention turned back to the stars temporarily. "Apparently I'm supposed to get to Saturn, somehow, and poke around up there for something called a 'signet ring'. Fat chance of that without some clever cell phone app to make me disappear." Ida's quick and simple travel plan left him all the more confused for how he might reach the planet. Still, he wasn't entirely certain he wanted to - space demanded a great deal more drink than he initially budgeted for, and Scholomance shied from the chance at alcohol poisoning.
Scholomance looked back toward the boy and eyed the snacks in hand. Trail mix? That's ballpark 200 calories a serving. More depending on the content. Looks like the usual gas station stuff, though; 200 it is. Stiff price for a handful of nuts.
Hoho, I could give him a handful of nuts.
Scholomance smiled childishly, but tried to keep it to himself. "And what brings you out here? Am I to take your comment as intimation that you weren't doing anything? Or did you stumble upon some other ridiculous-looking sot who had no idea what they were doing? I might be of a kind." He paused to frame his face with splayed hands and attempt his best charming smile for the joke.

"Wonder travel, huh?" Cor Caroli crunched some more while he mulled the concept over. "I have a Knight friend who goes to his wonder every so often. I think you get there by saying your pledge and focusing on your weapon...? I saw something like that in his notes. Don't quote me on that though." He scratched his nose idly before going in for another two peanuts."I mean powered up and patrolling. I haven't seen any other powered people tonight." Crunch crunch. "Have you found anyone tonight? I need to build my contacts, or something. I haven't even found any youma or Negaverse people."

"Pledge?" He never recalled making any pledge to anyone. Scholomance's mouth pulled taut in a line beneath his half-mask. "I might have to track down your knight friend to ask." 'Knighthood' offered no manual or mentor to assist, and Scholomance wondered if he stood further behind than the rest due to his lack of fantasy knowledge or ability to believe in the nonsensical, the absurd.
Food sounded like a necessary change of pace about now; Scholomance wondered how long it might take for his stomach to touch his spine. The munching taunted him in its own slow, rhythmic pattern. He tried to ignore it.
"No, I've not found anyone tonight. It's been fairly quiet; besides, you might not like the contacts I keep." Hands fled to hips while he spoke. "I've met a few... useful individuals, but most of the people I've met since moving to Destiny City were greeted as... Well, not-Scholomance. There's just something about an uncharacteristically dapper uniform that decimates my charm." A tug at the bottom of his jacket, and the page looked down toward his uniform. If it were ever designed for him, which he surmised it might've been considering the cuts, they hadn't taken into consideration preferred style.

"That'd be a good idea. His name is Glitnir. I can let him know you're looking for him." Cor Caroli pulled his phone out of subspace and was all set to send Glitnir a text, but he figured that it could wait for this man of mystery. Scholomance tugging at his uniform drew Cor's eyes to his hands, and generally to his body. He really hoped the looking-over he was giving the Page wasn't too obvious. "Huh, really? I don't think it decimates your charm at all. If anything, it gives you a certain allure." Now that was intended to be obvious. Sometimes, the flirty compliments just set themselves up.

A knowing smile lit Scholomance's features. The complement was well received - as someone who only ever saw himself in industrial attire, knowing that outside intellects still found him attractive in a gothic victorian conglomeration offered solid confidence. And by providing such a comment, Cor Caroli confirmed another detail about himself concerning sexuality. Either he was interested in men strictly, or felt flexible enough in his sexual identity to pursue male partners as well.
How fun - he never slept with a senshi before.
"Let me be straight with you, Cor," he began, taking measured steps toward the boy. "I've never been able to play the flirting game worth a s**t. And as much as I'd like to say 'nice legs, when do they open?' I think you deserve a little more respect for that. So to put it plainly, we could sit around out here and have a chat beneath the stars like perfectly responsible members of Order, but I have better ideas." He paused only within breathing distance from the senshi, and seized the trail mix in hand to hold it hostage in a mild manner.
"And it looks like you enjoy having nuts in your mouth."

No, actually, I'd prefer you be not-straight with me, Cor Caroli thought to himself as the Knight approached. A little wariness might have crossed his features, but then Scholomance kept going, and the wariness shifted to pleasant surprise. "You think I deserve respect, huh? How nice of you," he said with a lilt to his voice. He must have done something right for that. There was a wrinkle of plastic as Scholomance held his midnight snack hostage, and his gaze quickly flicked from the trail mix back up to the Knight's face. "Aw, c'mon, I was hungry. But I've never been a perfectly responsible member of Order anyway." With a devilish grin, he kept his eyes on Scholomance's every move. "What's your next move?"

Cor played coyly, which Isaiah did not often encounter in his carnal career. He met a handful willing to play the game of chase to the end, but the rest who operated along these wavelengths were typically disinterested in him or his advances. For the amount of interest Cor invoked, though, Scholomance doubted the latter.
"Responsibility is overrated," the page commented dryly. A gloved finger hooked just beneath the edge of the half-masked and pulled it down beyond his chin, exposing the remainder of his features. Their closeness had not yet betrayed his set of tongue rings, and he preferred it this way - for Cor Caroli would receive his surprise on the matter in a highly potent manner. And in considering his surroundings for a moment, he noted that little more than tree leaves danced in the wind, and no sound of other occupancy reached his ears. Auric sensing betrayed no one, for his beginner's understanding of it. And the darkness of the night coupled with the privacy in such a heavily wooded area afforded him all the impetus he needed.
Surprisingly, Cor solicited his next move, to which Scholomance cocked an easy smirk. "If I told you that, it'd spoil the fun." Gold-green eyes settled on the boy, on his young features, his tousled hair. Scholomance studied him from the close proximity to take in all body language and mannerisms he could discern in such a short frame.
Now what do you like? I wonder...
Scholomance bit the top of his glove and pulled, exposing a bony hand from beneath the material. His free hand slipped from mask to the midriff of Cor's shirt and drifted lower with a certain determination to his movements. Nailed fingers curled upward to tease the hem of Cor's shirt northward and tantalize the skin beneath, just above the hem of his pants. They straightened, and in doing so, slipped below the top of his senshi jeans. "I'll give you three guesses, but you can treat them as suggestions."

Cor Caroli nodded his agreement and watched as Scholomance revealed the rest of his face. "There we go. I was wondering when you'd get tired of that thing," he said, and he would have had some more quips following that had the Page not just hooked his fingers into his pants. Hand in the pants, huh? It's all or nothing now. He could feel a little heat rise to his face, mostly out of reflex and not so much out of embarrassment. "Guesses and suggestions... well, first we power down, make some quick introductions, and go to your place. Then we bang each other senseless. Then... uh..." Ordinarily he'd take his partners out to breakfast the next day, but for some reason he felt wary about doing this with Scholomance. He put the notion forth anyway. "We go get breakfast. After we've recovered, of course."

"We could do all these things, yes," he prefaced. Proceeding along this lines proved difficult; turning down breakfast 'after recovery' might sound like a personal affront when it simply butted against Scholomance's rules for himself. Additionally, revealing identity was cautioned against - and he found no particular reason to trust Cor Caroli above his own caution.
An intrinsic sadness arose from considering waking up next to this senshi. 'Go get breakfast' sounded like an expense to pay for a stranger between the sheets; Scholomance wondered, then, if Cor Caroli felt any particular attachment for his lovers, or if he expected to form one. Relationships still sparked going the opposite direction from what was considered culturally normal. But hadn't he jumped to conclusions against the boy for even considering it? He knew nothing of Cor Caroli besides what was given to him upon meeting - that he apparently enjoyed trail mix, that he felt no aversion against sleeping with male partners, and that he felt no particular drive for participating in this purported war. He may very well be the bleeding heart the day after, or a serial killer interested in employing easy charm and an alternate identity to reach prolific heights.
But that would just be silly, wouldn't it?
One hand found the prize inside while the other worked to loosen the senshi's magical jeans. "But we could also have our fun right here and keep our identities a careful secret. Besides, grass is a lot friendlier on the knees than concrete." See: Lyme disease. See: poison ivy. See: fire ants.
When every decision is a bad one, how does one choose?

Now or never. Cor Caroli had to make a quick call. How much was he actually up for a surprise tryst with another Saturn Page? Or, rather, how much was he not up for it? He could still say no, but when it came down to it, stopping what was already started because he wasn't going to get his way felt bratty and lazy. "And beds are even friendlier on the everything," he mumbled before conceding. "Okay, yeah, protecting identity is important. But I think I heard a rumor that you power down if you lose your clothes anyway, so be careful." Maybe the caution was contagious, because that wasn't something he normally gave a damn about. He took a deep breath. What the hell was all this consideration for? Since when was he one to give pause about diving into a good time? Forget it. "But do go on. Make my night, Knight."

"Really?" Scholomance's eyes grew half-lidded with a thin sigh of frustration. "That's no fun at all. Why do our awful-looking costumes have to tie us to an alternate identity..." How asinine. But I suppose it's good to know that if I need someone's identity, all I have to do is rip their clothes off. Socially that's a mess, but I suppose if the demand for that identity renders it absolutely necessary then the cultural taboo behind it becomes a lesser issue. I doubt I'll experience a time when that becomes an issue.
Scholomance rose to his feet with that comment. "Well then, it looks like you got your wish. If we're stuck shedding these identities, then it's best to do it elsewhere." It certainly beat a stranger getting to know both him and his bare a**.
"Come on; my apartment isn't terribly far from here." Scholomance caught hold of the senshi's upper arm and started in the direction of one of the longer paths, insistent on continuing as quickly as possible while the mood remained.Sami-Fire intimated exit; can end here or you can post something more final in a tag
