After meeting Scholomance, and then comforting Colin, Methone was...in short. Very tired. It felt like she suddenly was admist her brothers again. 9 boys and a whole bunch of rowdiness. Even Auguste and Pasha had been energy draining!

It was a far cry from her lazy lifestyle she had before! She wondered how she managed those few years of quietness? She wouldn't trade it for the world though. Because she went out at night, and flew the skies with her powers.

Even tired, she wanted to see if she could find more saturn knights, or even more senshi. Europa and Polaris had been a really good start. The night was crisp and she found herself wandering the largest pocket of the park, through the wide open grass field, lined with white lines that made a complete soccer field. She jumped around on the field but since their was no youma around, eventually just found herself sitting on the grass.

Something would pop eventually right?

Parks often lent to powered signatures, Umber found, and he took to frequenting them relatively easily. As was tradition in Destiny City, the park featured several clearings but just as many forested walkways where mature trees grew towering over old, worn walking trails. The deciduous quality of east coast forests worked well for him, as Umber already founded ample experience with hunting in the woods. Crossing branches and pausing several feet off the ground to watch a target came rather naturally, and thus he found no better location for his endeavors.

Auric sensitivities left him with a tip toward another White Moon senshi, this one super by power. Inwardly he regretted not having a tracking methodology for picking up an auric trail, but the senshi did not appear to go far. So Umber slipped through the trees, across thick boughs and across tall rocks to reach the edge of the thick forest where the myriad trees gave way to an even clearing. Two goal posts spaced sparsely and curious half-circles painted against the grass became the first objects of note beside the senshi in question. Nothing stood out as proper weapon to use, since even the goals looked too cumbersome to take apart in the heat of battle.

And she herself looked unprepared for combat. Cartwheels and handstands and somersaults indicated that either she tried to train or had nothing better to do with herself. Was she killing time? It didn't matter. Beyond that, her uniform offered very little coverage, and only bothered with the portions of her that demanded modesty. Most arteries lay open for him if he had a sharp weapon to strike with, and her viscera remained easily accessed through the midriff exposure on the uniform. Easy enough - his knuckles bore short spikes, but enough punching would eat through the fatty layer and muscle beneath.

Umber sank low before he dropped off the bough as silently as possible. Pushing off against the trunk, the captain made a beeline for the idle super senshi with every intention of bringing knee to back and sending her into the grass prostrate.

Methone felt the blib of a chaos order invading her peaceful rest on the ground, her eyes opening wide as she jumped up to face the enemy. It was dark though, and she couldn't see a thing. Her breathing lightened, but her heart raced.

It felt the same level as her so...so perhaps she could handle it. Her back was turned when Umber rushed her, so his goal of knocking her down with a hit to the back worked. She made a wheezing sound of pain as she fell to the ground. Her back heated in the spot he hit as well as throbbed, and she knew, she'd feel that in the morning when she was doing her dancing excersises.

But she didn't stay down long, because Aegir had taught her well and she spun on her spot from the grass, using the ballet moves she knew so well to swing her leg up and hopefully push the attacker away.

Then they'd be on equal ground and she'd had a real fighting chance.

"That's rude handsome." She said once she got a good look. "You could've just asked."

Methone retreated in time for Umber to slide on his shins and knees, earning nothing more than grass stains in the process. Rising came as abrupt as possible - height always held the advantage, so he used what reflexes he knew to hop to his feet without the superfluous style that his target adopted.

I could've just asked. Right. I know of no one willing to forfeit their starseed, and I doubt you would be the first. Umber spared no response; he found it a waste of breath to engage the target on wits when physical prowess so often stood the greater power in tussles like these. Animals fought with few words beyond fear tactics, and nothing that came from this girl constituted as such. He let his own determination become the foreboding factor to his presence.

Her leg came up toward him. Rather than darting away and losing proximity, Umber lifted hand in an attempt to catch her by the ankle and pull her forward to upset her balance. If he couldn't, taking the hit proved embarrassing, but the benefits to upsetting her thusly proved far too valuable to pass up and avoid a kick to the jaw.

"Oh I get it, the silent type." Methone smirked, "You're the type like Aurostibite? Take your job to seriously, have some quota's to fill that you'll never get too. " She made a small sound as he just hopped up again, going in for another attack.

She really hated these types of officers.

He caught her leg, and she knew it was an attempt to throw her balance. It was, she thought, a real benefit that she was a ballet dancer, or a dancer in general. Her body was made of muscle memory, of instinctual to move in a way that could twist or bend in the form she needed.

She didn't hold power, but she wouldn't fall on her face, looking up to the sky again. She shifted her caught leg in his grip, turning it so that the top of her thigh was skyward, while her other leg widened out to adjust for the loss of weight.

"I'm a dancer handsome." She smirked again, "You're gonna have to be better then that." She threw a punch now, bring her fist up to hit his stomach so she would be released.

If he didn't, then she was ********.

Umber wasn't certain what she prattled on about, but he tried to take no heed of it. Battle afforded little room for speech, and what banter found its way into the fray often did so for nefarious reasons.

Umber released her leg to defend his stomach properly, which cost his advantage but maintained protection. Backing away wasn't an option he considered anymore, for a senshi's strength lay in their magic, and that magic often acted on longer distances. Studded knuckles afforded him no range, but managed decent damage when up close, leaving him at an advantage. And considering that this senshi in particular was a dancer, he wagered there wasn't a distance in combat in which she acted poorly. Knocking her off-balance proved nigh impossible, too.

Keep making assumptions, he wanted to say. Keep trying to bait me.

But her words found rise in him, whether he wanted to avoid it or not. Umber hissed through his teeth before resorting to teleporting behind her, a planar shift that left even him somewhat disoriented, and he aimed to strike squarely at the small of her back. If coordination recovered before then, he expected to land a hit against her spine and immobilize her. But given his lack of experience with incorporating teleportation into attack, and the fact that he felt markedly more fatigued afterward, Umber started to think that such a drastic move felt more cumbersome than useful.

"There's no reason to talk," came his only response.

She liked to talk, and to be honest, it proved more useful then most thought. Talk was distracting, and thats what she was after. Distracting, annoying, rude. Poking jabs mentally made its own little point.

It said she was here more then to beat the s**t out of someone, but to also get under the skin. Memorable. Someone who could and should be feared at some point.

And damn did she hate when they teleported. The hair on her neck raised, in that scary movie premonition, and she just knew. Where else could he teleport for a attack but behind her. His speed was faster though, and regardless of his dizziness, his hit landed true. The spikes dug into the lower right part of her back and she let out a painful yelp. It hurt like hell, and she knew there was a small puncture from the spikes. But it didn't hit her spine, and so, it didn't freeze her in place. It pushed her away from him, and as it did, and knowing that she was, unskilled in close range, decided it would be better to just escape.

Her hand shot to her tiara and then she pointed up, as she looked at Umber.

"Aurora Borealis Wind Flare!"*

She's making a run for it!!!

*Aurora Borealis Wind Flare

Sailor Methone calls out her attack and points upward towards the sky and above her head atop her index finger a solar wind erupts in front of her. This wind is far stronger if the opponent is standing directly in front of her and can effectively knock them over. The range of this solar wind reaches 7’ in front of her and all around her. (360 degree span). Following directly after this abrupt gust of wind a blue-green ribbon of light reaches out emulating the Northern lights. These lights only last for 15 seconds but blind anyone within a 10’ radius who gaze upon them for the next 15- 20 seconds (30 second blind if the room / area was in complete total darkness).

- Once cast the light remains stationary and she can move around freely.
- Light lasts for 15 seconds
- Wind reaches out to 7’, Light effects people within 10’
- Can be cast 3 times

]A connected hit urged followup but Umber hadn't quite oriented himself with his new location. Lurching forward to reach her, he failed to catch up in time as she cast her magic. Immediately the wave struck him and tossed him backward, forcing the hunter to turn sideways solely to stay upright, and he glanced back to check for an opening.

Instead, he saw the most brilliant lights curled in lazy waves about her.

The lurid colors struck him immediately and whited out his vision into the lulling patterns. No amount of blinking clarified his vision, either - and he realized that she had much too good of a chance to strike him in this position. He started backward to create distance and hoped she wouldn't reassert her opening.

These senshi are too unpredictable with attacks that follow no pattern. I need to check the database and learn what I can, or stop approaching them alone. The same goes for other officers - we can't be losing people to these gaps in knowledge. They're just too erratic.

Whatever her name is, 'Aurora Borealis Wind Flare' is dangerous.
