Okay.

So they needed some information. Where they were. What was around them. A possibly way back, just in case anything decided to head in a less favorable direction for them. And the last thing she wanted to happen was for her and her new friend to end up on the bad side of a blade. Or something worse.

So a few questions were needed to be asked. And, even with the villagers not being the best people to ask, they were the only ones that would have a possibility of answering any questions they had.

It didn't help that they all seemed to be cloaked as well. Such a strange place...

"Well, I suppose we should start with someone." She lightly grasped the helm of one of Carlos's sleeve. She didn't tug but slowly walked in a direction to guide them around. Guiding them right up to one of the villagers.

"Pardon but exactly is up with all of this fog?"

They had happened upon a villager cooking, what looked like fish?? Was there a lake near by?

As she thought about the possibility of water and the such close to this village, it seemed that the cloaked figure had taken a fish off of one of the skewers and was offering it to her. She blinked a few times before looking at the food. She was a might hungry and the fish did smell good. She had no doubt Carlos would have thought the same too.

What she hadn't thought would happen was the villager then proceeded to devour it after having extended it in their direction. Wow. Rude. She leaned back with a raised brow. "Wow. That's incredibly rude. If you had mean't to be in such a foul demeanor, you could have just asked us to leave." She folded her arms and looked around for another villager to question

Hopefully one that was a little nicer.

8. The villager is too busy looking at their toes.

Carlos followed his new friend around. Carlos was unconcerned with anything. He was a happy cat with a friend. And a nice friend at that. He followed along with her.

Oh was she tugging him. Carlos took that as free ride time. Carlos being a ghost and floating was very light and easy to move. You could practically blow on him and he would go with the breeze. And Carlos took full advantage of this, being a very lazy cat. He just held back on to her and let her lead them wherever they would go.

She was talking to someone with a fish. ooo fish, would they give him some? "Carlos wants fish." when it was offered he reached to take it and then.... nope. Carlos's ears flattened. "Meanie!" he wailed and then floated off pouting for a moment before coming across another person. "Hello?" he nosed up under them. they were looking at their toes. "Hello? Hello?" Carlos mewed and then gave up.

"I don't think they like me."

Silannas didn't blame Carlos for the pout.

It had been very rude. She had half a mind to thwack them upside the head with her stake but she knew it would cause more trouble than harm. Didn't mean she couldn't think it.

"Very much a meanie." Silannas followed after her feline friend with her arms folded and didn't even give the cook a second glance. She didn't want to give the cook any more satisfaction.

But they had stumbled upon another villager. He seemed to be incredibly infatuated with his... Toes. Hmmm... Carlos had made an attempt at getting their attention but they seemed just too glued to what they were already doing. This was a very strange place with strange creeple, it seemed. With a strange environment of fog... Maybe there was something in the air...

"It's okay, I don't think they like 'us' and that's just fine. I doubt they have many friends. Where as we have each other so too bad for them." She lightly petted his head before looking about for another direction for them to take. Maybe one of the paths off in the distance that split off from the village would lead them somewhere better.

"I suppose none of these people are going to help us. Probably best to move on then." Her fingers grasped their familiar spot of Carlos's sleeve with a light beam to try and cheer up the Chesire boil a bit.

"We'll even find you your own fish." She did know how to cook so she was sure she could whip something up for Carlos if they happened upon a lake somewhere and managed to catch a fish. And she was fairly certain she could cook one better than that villager could.

At least his new friend still liked him. Carlos was not very used to being ignored. Sometimes he was beat up a little, Carlos was an easy target for bullies, but being disliked like this he was very unused too. "Perhaps they need a spot of tea." it was too bad Carlos didn't have any tea, he left it all at home. He had not expected to need it. He did however enjoy his pettings and nuzzled up against them.

"Fish! I would like a fish." Carlos's attention was very much distractable. He like fish and hunting and that was very much worth it to him. "A lake we shall find. A fishing we shall go!" he sang in a loud voice glancing over to where the fish eating villager was. Did they hear that? Carlos would have his own fish.

"There is lake!" Carlos spotted a lake, the Brume Lake, but he didn't know that. "Lake lake lake time. Time for fish."

Brume Lake
Fog rises in lazy swirls, but the water itself seems eerily still. It doesn't seem likely, but this place is nearly over-run with many different types of fish…including many to be very weary of.

Carlos was un aware of the dangers of the lake as he approached. It was foggy as well, just like everything else. Carlos did realize it was foggy. Very foggy like everything else around here. As Carlos approached a small fished jumped. "Pretty!" and then a much larger fish jumped out of the water and gobbled it whole. Carlos's ears flattened in shock and his eyes widened. "Maybe no fish."

"Perhaps. Tea is rather soothing but I think they might need more than one."

It was a nice thought but one she doubted would help them. He did seem to be fine after she had continued the pets and the mention of fish. Good.

A light smile graced Sil's features as she followed after the feline spirit. It was a nice little turn around of being the leader. But once they had happened upon the lake, she started thinking that she might keep the leader position for a bit. Maybe... That fog was becoming more and more unsettling.

"Yes... Quite a lake this is..."

And then a small fish jumped up, delighting her and Carlos for a moment before becoming terrified at the sudden much larger fish coming up to eat it. Welp. Her instinct popped up and she grabbed Carlos away from the edge into her arms. He was nice to her and she didn't fancy fishing a cat out of a fish.

"Let's... Try somewhere else..."

Carlos nodded. they would need a full afternoon of tea, perhaps even a few days of tea to get comfortable. He did not he have the patients for that. While lazy, Carlos was also impatient and distractible. Luckly that distractibility meant that he bounced back from emotional trauma easily. Carlos had already long moved on from the rude villagers.

Carlos slowly nodded. This was not a good spot for fish he decided. While Carlos was a ghost, that looked distinctly uncomfortable. Carlos was not a huge fan of hunting things that hunted back and that would definitely hunt him back, especially in his natural from.

"No fish today. Or rather from the market let us get later." As opposed to fishing something up. Carlos was not going into there. Naw... he was too lazy for that. Instead he turned and climbed up into Silannas's arms and snuggled her calming himself. he turned and licked his shoulder briefly forgetting he was wearing cloths. His tongue quickly reminded him and he looked down seeing he was mostly clothed and his tail was too much of a bother to reach. instead he turned and licked Silannas's ear and neck, grooming. "Let's go find something else."

"I'm sure we could work something out." She did feel bad that she couldn't make it up to him now but maybe she could do something for the little guy later.

After returning to casually petting the feline boil, she tried to think of another way she might be able to get Carlos the promised fish. A market did sound like a good place but she doubted any one would sell her anything here, let alone a fish, cooked or not.

Sil nearly jumped again from the sudden licking of her ear and neck. She looked down and saw Carlos 'cleaning' her. She giggled a little, mostly at it being ticklish. "Hahaha Carlos, that tickles."

Her fingers gently ran through his hair and scritched behind his ears with another smile. "Good idea." She didn't mind carrying the spirit in her arms. She wouldn't have to go far to get to him and he was as near as he could be.
